[PRP] A Friend Like No Other (Wolfheart and Crestia)

Wolfy's belly undulated with a deep laugh. "Then so it shall be!" He declared with a flourish of his tail. "Count to the number thirty and we shall hide. Though I promise to keep the game easy until you have become familiar with it." The stallion waited until she turned around and had started counting before he and Mangekyō dashed off. There were a vast number of places to hide amidst the graveyard and its surrounding areas. Some of the locations would be easier to spy than others. Both companions chose among the easier spots, keeping with the promise to make the game easier.

Wolfheart found a large bush to hide behind. Its girth just enough to cover his entire body save for his horn. Yō, in the mean time, had chosen to hide within the graveyard itself. A grove of vibrant yellow flowers made up his hiding spot, though he tread lightly to keep from marring their beauty or killing them. His gray fur allowing him to hide within the shadows while his red markings cast a nice contrast to where Cres could spot him if she were to look. And then it was merely a matter of waiting.

Cres giggled and laughed as she flailed about and closed her eyes and counted. "1...2...3..." As she kept going she tried to listen to where they went so as to know what direction to head into for them. "28...29....30! Im coming!" she called out as she spun around and looked all over at everything. She wandered around the edges of her graveyard and sniffed the air at everything. She was so exited! Her tail was up and excited as her ears pricked forward and she peeked about all over for every place that might hide a wolf or a large stallion.

She sniffed at the air and wandered around. Something not normal smelled close. It didn't smell like her so she thought it might be the wolf. Her eyes scanned everything and something looked off....She wandered towards the yellow flowers and sniffed above them. She squinted and peeked in them better. "Is that you in there little Yo!?" she asked with a giggle as she pranced about at finding the wolf and then ran in a circle, careful of flowers and bones around her, and headed into the trees. She didn't have many good places for something as big as Wolfheart to hide in her graveyard so she was sure he was out here. She peeked about all over and wandered a little here and there and slowly scanned the trees as she walked.

Finally she saw horns that were not looking normal and she wandered over and peeked around the tree. "Found you now too!! Oh yay this is fun!! Who goes next again! Lets play more!" she said with a wiggling butt and a giggle and smile. "I get to hide now right!"

Mangekyō waited patiently to see whether he would be found or not. His answer came quickly when Cres's head poked through the flowers that had been his hiding spot. "Well done, young one." He lowered his head in an acquiescent bow before emerging out into the open. The Wolf watched contently while the young mare bounced gaily into the woods in search of Wolfheart. Another moment later and she had located him as well. Yō joined them seconds later, arriving as Wolfheart stepped forward.

"You are most perceptive, mi'lady!" The stallion declared cheerfully, azure blue eyes brimming with amusement. It had been a long time since he had played this game but he still seemed to be able to hide well enough, even when not giving it his greatest effort. "Indeed," Wolfheart inclined his head to indicate Mangekyō. "You and I shall now hide from my young companion here. This is because he was the first to be discovered." He did not comment on how unusual that feat was since Yō had the uncanny ability to disappear into his environment. Wolfy assumed that his friend had purposefully made himself easy to find for Crestia's sake. A sense of pride filled him and he glanced to the mare. "Shall we begin?"

Taking that question as his cue, Mangekyō turned to face a tree and closed his eyes. "I will start the count when you are ready."

She leaped about and giggled, laughing happily as she was praised for her good effort of finding the two of them. "Thank you! That was super fun! I love this game! Oh your turn Gekyo!! Yay!!!" she said as she waited till he was turned away and she pranced out to the trees and looked around finding a fallen tree and crouching down and squiggling under it a little bit and hiding behind a bush and under the tree. She giggled and smiled. She liked her spot. She was so happy to think she had a good one and she hoped that she could trick the wolf for a little while.

She liked these new friends and was super happy about having them! She hoped they could stay for ever! She would like friends to stick around, but she didn't understand yet that some of them didn't come into your life and stay there always. She would learn soon but for now she thought that they could do this every day! She was super happy about having them here for today though!!

Wolfheart laughed heartily once more. The young mare's excitement for the game was a breath of fresh air. Most adults took themselves far too seriously nowadays. Very few would be willing to play such games anymore, let alone have such joviality about it. As Mangekyō turned away, Wolfheart decided he would better hide himself this time around. A true challenge for my friend! He noiselessly crept to a large boulder encased by moss and flowers. The stallion stepped careful amongst the delicate structures, being careful not to disturb anything lest he give away his hiding spot. Now, let us see how keen his senses are.

Mangekyō sat primly in his spot, silently counting down to the agreed number. "Ready or not. Here I come!" He called out in the appropriate manner as he slowly stood to his feet. His red eyes took in the entirety of the area. The slightest of depressions in the earth could be seen. His ears twitched in all one direction and then another. The faintest hints of breath on the wind rang out clearly. Within a minute or so, Mangekyō had located both parties. No need in ruining their fun, however. The small wolf kept that in mind as he began his search for the two. He found Wolfheart first, thinking it only fair that the stallion be next in line as "it." "Very well done!" Wolfy exulted.

Yō killed some time by wandering about and peering into the rather obvious hiding spots. Occasionally, he would remark on her hiding to feign uncertainty. As with all games, however, he knew that he must eventually bring it to an end. After believing enough time to have passed, Mangekyō wandered over to where Crestia had camouflaged herself under a fallen tree. "You make excellent use of your surroundings." He offered his praise, a hint of a smile tugging at his lips.
