Liryn had produced a smart phone via back flip, but had remained within hand reach afterwards as he worked on prising up the back from first the phone that Goretti had given him and then the smart phone.
He had paused for a moment at the other's question however.
"Well the phones are useful and the upgraded phones are even more so" he admitted.
He purred as Goretti's managed to scritch an itch, his purplish eyes half-lidded as he continued "But the only person who can make yourself into a better senshi is you."
He went back to working on prising up the back of the smart phone before turning his attention back to the other phone.
"But from where I am - it seems like you are already working on it."
And given the effort that Goretti appeared to be putting into it, Liryn had no doubt that the Chibi Super would get there.

Goretti listened intently, contemplating Liryn's words. Something the cat had said struck a chord in him—'The only person who can make yourself into a better senshi is you.' His mind kept repeating the phrase and the senshi's brows knit—determined.
He nodded, lips pursed in thought for a moment, before he conceded, "You're right, I think. I mean, I have been trying. But I just don't feel like I've gotten anywhere. Or, at least, as far as I want to go. I'm still a chibi, and I'm still only a Super Senshi. So I haven't gotten to be a normal senshi or an eternal. It feels like I'm wading through mud. Or," he paused, and a little smile snapped onto his face.
"…Glue."
The thought alone was enough to distract him from any negative thoughts; he laughed and shook his head. "…Maybe that's why it's taking me so long. Glue is such a sticky sphere. Maybe I was just supposed to be stuck one way for a while. Or maybe I just need to work a little harder to get unstuck. It's just so weird, you know? …I can't believe nobody's written a 'how-to' on this whole thing, yet."

Liryn paused in his fiddling with the phones for a moment to look up "Well there's the senshi primer" he admitted. "And while it's not really a how to, it has a fair bit of useful information in it."
He went back to working on the phones and specifically the phone that Goretti had handed him "But it's not something that the primer can really handle." He thought about it "Or a how to."
The back of the phone that Goretti had given him fell to the ground with a slight clatter and Liryn started to carefully root around with his claws. "Because what works best for you wouldn't necessarily work for someone else." Because no two senshi were the same.
He located the piece that he was looking for and carefully extracted it before snapping it into place in the smart phone and pushing the back of the phone back into place.
"But I'm sure that you'll find the way to unstick yourself" he vanished the remains of the former phone before nudging the smart phone towards Goretti as he added cheerfully "And whilst the only person who can make yourself into a better senshi is you, it doesn't mean that others can't lend a helping hand or paw to help you along the path."
He winked, purplish eyes bright "Even if it's something small."

"I kinda poked around at the Primer thing," Goretti said, but 'poking' around was a fair statement; he'd read some, but back then it had seemed confusing—and to be fair, he'd just about forgotten it existed until Liryn mentioned it again. He nodded as the Mauvian continued to explain. When he finished the phone, Goretti's eyes were sparkling.
He drew it back, running his fingers over the smooth surface and examining its new form. "This is amazing! You are so cool! I watched you do that the whole time and I still don't know how you did it!"
Goretti dropped low and pet Liryn behind the ears, running his hand from the Mauvain's head down his back. "—I never know if you guys like this, but it's really hard not to just pick you up and squeeze you. You're really talented, I can't wait to go play with this. Oh, and," he smiled and seemed a bit more serious when he added, "Thank you, though. I'm going to keep trying. I'm getting closer, I know it. I just hope I can keep learning from everyone until I can make my own way. I just hate that it's taking so long. I just don't wanna let anyone down."

"Well whilst again I can't speak for other cats, but I don't mind cuddles" another bright-eyed wink "And I like scritches."
Liryn let his eyes fall half-closed at the petting, his voice a half purr as he added "And you give really good scritches."
Goretti's comment about looking forward to playing with the new phone reminded him of his earlier promise, purplish eyes opening to look at the senshi as he said "I can go through each of the apps briefly if you still want me too."
A cat grin "And if you scan me in then you can call me up too" because his communicator meant that he didn't have to rely on finding a senshi to get calls.
Liryn's voice turned serious as he added "And you haven't let me down" and he gave Goretti's hand a gentle head butt as he repeated with absolute certainty "I know you'll find the way." Kyuseisha no Hikari Liryn likes Goretti cat_wink

Goretti smiled at Liryn once more; he ran his hand over Liryn's head once more, quite fondly. "Then I'm going to try really hard not to let you down. And I'm going to make sure I do that by finding a way," he promised.
He was still playing with the phone before he pointed it at Liryn. He scanned the cat and seemed pleased when he popped into the phone. "I love that," he gushed. "I'll have to be careful not to call you for silly things. Sometimes I get silly questions that pop into my head," he confessed. "…But maybe I can just make a list and call you when I have enough so I'm only bugging you once in a while. Oh, but I usually bring snacks. What's your favorite?"litian Goretti likes him too ;v; <3

"Oh I don't mind" Liryn said cheerfully "I like getting calls - even if it's a just to hang out kind of call."
Perhaps it was down to the fact that prior to having his communicator, Liryn had had to rely on calls for him being passed on to him through a senshi and whilst for his part that hadn't been too difficult - unlike some of the other mauvians - given that both Ida and Athene were good at passing on messages.
It...
It just wasn't the same as being able to take his own calls.
"And I'm always happy to answer questions to the best of my ability - even the 'silly' ones" he winked before adding, purr leaking into his voice as Goretti managed to find the right spot "And I like fish and also toffee apple cake without the frosting - but as long as it's not cat food then it's all good."
Because as far as he was concerned cat food was just ugh and something of an insult to felines.

Goretti smiled and nodded; he took a few extra seconds to rub at the spot Liryn seemed to like. "I don't know about toffee apple cake, but I know I can bring you some fis sometime! There's another cat--Julienne? She loves fish. So I can sneak some out. One day I'll learn how to cook it myself. But," he sighed and seemed fairly disappointed.
"It's late enough that I know I should be heading home before my dad gets off of work. But the next time we hang out, I'll have fish for you! I'm happy I met you, Liryn!"
He stood up and smiled. "So let's see each other again, soon!"

"Same here" Liryn agreed because he always enjoyed meeting new senshi.
He stretched as Goretti straightened and whilst a part of him was already missing the scritches because the chibi super had had had a knack for finding all the right places, he also didn't protest - because whilst he could stay out all night if he wanted, Liryn was equally aware that not everyone could.
Instead he brushed up against the others legs as he continued "I'd like that" adding "Have a good evening Goretti."
And whilst he didn't have to head home perhaps it was about time for him to consider doing so anyway.
It was as he was padding homewards that Liryn realised that he had forgotten to ask Goretti about his homeworld - although as an oversight that was something that was easily rectified...
Because there was always the next meeting.Kyuseisha no Hikari fin tag on my end Kyu and Liryn will be totally happy to run into Goretti again 3nodding
