Shiki wriggles past the groups of people until he is standing in front of the booth and looking at the game. He peers around, his large ears flicking a bit before he stands on his toes and slides the seeds into the machine. The kitsune had never played a game like this before and he was curious as to how to play, but one doesn't learn until they try.
When the first screen comes up he frowns a little reading the options. Hnn, what was he supposed to do?
Shiki chose to talk, but soon a huge stream of text starts to pop on the screen, and he was not able to chose what to do, or even read what was being said. So much.. He whimpered and took a step back, just as the machine gives up as well, quitting for him.. or for itself actually. Looks like he lost.
The kitsune sighed and crept away, tails sagging.

For being her first try at a gaming sort of booth, she hadn't really expected what she had gotten. A game that lets you choose different ways to defeating a creature that was other than using your fists and hooves? This was incredibly interesting. It intrigued the peryton girl into playing it and giving it a shot. If she could deal and conquer snow, what was to say she couldn't do the same here? Her first 'enemy' seemed to be a little ghost boil that enjoyed listening to music. Well, what boil or ghoul didn't enjoy music? Aureole sure did! So why not pick the option to want to listen to their tapes with them? And she was rather successful, with this one, at least. Yes! She had picked the right option and she smirked at her choice. It had been quite a long time since Carrol had set foot anywhere near Amityville. The boil hadn't seen much of Halloween Town life since his father had passed him off to live with his mother's brother, and the lack of activity made him even antsier than usual, if that was possible. It took a surprising burst of self control for him to finally resist his daily urge to trash his uncle's ranch house and realize that his energy would probably be better expended by trying to get into the city on his own.
Grabbing several handfuls of silver seeds from the swear jar he never contributed to since he had no money of his own, Carrol struck out in the direction of the nearest road and started walking toward the bus. Hopefully.
Several days later, the boil wandered onto campus with a Barfburger and fries in hand, smirking at the booths and the giant stadium. Were these creeple always celebrating something? He was immediately attracted to the one with the video game, because of course he was, and as he set his food down on the console's controls it flickered and died, starting up again in a new mode. Immortal mode.
"What the ******** this?" he muttered, sliding his fries off of the start button. "WHAT THE ******** THIS?"
The boil shrugged, not expecting an answer. He supposed he would have to play and find out.

As soon as he pressed another button with his small, greasy palm, the screen went dark and an odd, overexcited ghost flickered in out of the blackness. Well acquainted with how games worked, Carrol began enthusiastically smacking at things until he accidentally selected an item.
Pockey. Yeah. Sure.
The wig monster fed it to the ghost, and while he didn't necessarily expect to win or anything, he did expect some sort of ending. A GAME OVER NOOB or a sad little death tune or anything that would give him a little closure. Instead, the screen just went dark again, leaving him thoroughly unfulfilled.
Beat it and you'll get a prize, that potato-chip eating b*****d had said. Okay. He could do that. Carrol's pasty baby-sized feet reared back and stomped at the game as wild giggles burbled from him.Quote: ITEM:' DAT MEEE' The ghost? (You think it's a ghost anyway) says. The item menu pops up with 'Pockey' Its a 'key shaped biscuit dipped in chocolate'. Selecting it, it's eaten by the iTem and while distracted you manage to move on. What kind of game is this??? iStoleYurVampsxx helo literally beating ur gaem pls advise

You are filled with WILLPOWER. Also Rengath just stares and wonders why they let him be in charge of anything. "........." He just moved so he could watch the beat down directly, still crunching on his chips.

It only took a few kicks before an upright dog flooded the screen, or as the game insisted, a Princess. It wasn't wearing a crown or anything. How was anyone supposed to know? Bolstered by the lack of punishment he'd received for kicking electronics, Carrol grabbed his burger and took a couple more bites as he assessed what to do next. Immortal mode. If he was playing as an immortal then surely a little more beating wouldn't be out of the question? It wasn't like the Princess could do anything to him—
As soon as he had made the decision to kick virtual a** Carrol's hands were back on the controls, but the moment he chose to fight the dog creature, the game shut off again. He narrowed all three of his eyes that had lids.
"Screw you, man."
This thing wasn't worth his time.Quote: FITEYou fite the Princess and they end up barking so much at you that they wear themselves out...

Aureole was starting to get the hang of this game. It was interesting in having different options to take on an opponent. Maybe she would see if there was a portable version she could take back to her dorm.
After pressing a button, the game blinked and the screen flashed and restarted.
WHAT.
The peryton was about to wonder if this game was for real before it blinked back on with a different setting. Immortal Run?
Now this was becoming more impressive with each turn.
Aureole was definitely gonna look into portable versions.

Now was the time for the immortal run! Aureole assumed there was a specific way she had to go about this. She had read that she would need to go about this in a sort of pacifist sort of way. Not fighting or anything. This was definitely going to be hard. The determined peryton pressed a few times and started up the game as she did the last time and hoped that it didn't blip out on her again. It was the ghost again, wanting to listen to their music and such. Ok, she remember the last time she had 'fought' this ghost and she made sure to end it the same way she had before. Poor ghost, just wanted someone to listen to their music with someone else. And listening to music was far easier then fighting someone.

The game was still there, and Shiki was determined to face it again. He looked at the machine and put in his silver seeds, a feeling of intense... something filling him. Seriously he had never felt this way before so he couldnt' really call it anything.
There it was again, that dreaded item, and he knew better than to hit the button to talk.. it would chew his ear off babbling away. Instead he chose Item, and watched the text scroll on the screen.
'DAT MEEE' The ghost? (You think it's a ghost anyway) says. The item menu pops up with 'Pockey' Its a 'key shaped biscuit dipped in chocolate'. Selecting it, it's eaten by the iTem and while distracted you manage to move on. What kind of game is this??? (continue on)
Uh.. yeah, he made his way past the item and shrugged a bit. Better than a game crash.

The screen went blank, and Shiki gave the machine a look of horror. NO!!!!
He panicked a moment not sure what he was supposed to do. Then the screen cleared and he was at the start again,
This machine had to be a demon in disguise. Yeah, it had to be, and being a Kitsune Demon Shiki was well aware of the fact.
"Look you.. work with me here...."

The controls were different now, and Shiki only have four choices on how to deal with the first creature. He frowned and pushed a button at random..
TALK
Nope this thing did not want to talk, and he found himself failing.
Crud... this machine had to be a demon. There was no other way...

(try 2)
Shiki grit his teeth and put two more silver seeds into the machine. No demon was going to best him. Okay well, a lot of demons likely would, but he was going to work his best. The small boil stood on his toes and hit buttons.
ITEM!
He knew this one and he hit the button, swiftly moving past the first creature. Good to go, now to the second one.

Okay now he had to be careful and watch what button he hit.
GRAH! How could he do it again?
Once more the screen went blank and he headed into ??? mode.
This was like a curse.
The boil whimpered softly and looked around in confusion. Did no one else see that this machine was forcing him into a loop of chaos and misery?

He sighed as the four choices were again on the screen. He didn't know what to do, this machine made no sense, it was asking him to deal with these things and he just had no idea how to do so.
SPARE
He selected something different and found himself actually moving on, and facing the next creature. Really? He had done it? He was actually seeing something new now. YES!!
