"I'll make sure to consult you the next time I make a tea purchase," Cassie assured. It was actually a very pleasant feeling to see Aten so enthusiastic about something and she felt a little bad for having cut him off. She filed the information she got out of him away, hoping to commit it to her downy-winged memory.
"Nothing wrong with that," the pink haired girl settled on as the other rationalized his flaws, accepting the small touch without batting an eye. "Can't say you're the only one who needs to get drawn back into the real world sometimes," she sighed as if reality was a rather large burden. Cassie could relate though, though she often got caught up in other things than herself. "I enjoy tutoring but they always choose the worst times to have a crisis and begin crying about failing a class. Always when I'm always deep into me time." She shook her head a little but it was fondly. Cassie knew she was making light of something that was probably a lot more serious in Aten's view and she offered a soft look in return.
"When's the appropriate amount of time before sounding the alarm? Two days, or two weeks?" the Fallen offered a bit cheeky, but she was being genuine as reflected in her blue eyes. Aten was in Arkham too and she figured it wouldn't be that hard to find his room with some quick asking around. As much as he seemed to want to blend in, the tiger-patterned imp was also hard to miss.

Aten couldn't help but to let out a rather bright, uproarious laugh, clutching at his stomach. He laughed for quite some time, leaning dangerously far over the edge of the fountain, threatening to loose his balance despite his tallness and topple in to the cold waters behind him. "Yes! Please! If I have disappeared for more than two weeks, sound all the alarms! I can last about a week, week and a half on my own. After that it's probably a good idea to make sure I still have food left tucked away in my room. If not, then probably get someone to take me out for a meal because it has probably been a few days." Aten caught himself winking at the Fallen girl next to him. He was loosening up. It had been so long since he could be this free with someone besides Smolder. It was a pleasant surprise.

Her wings flared out in surprise as she was caught off guard. Cassie hadn't thought of herself as being that comical but she was glad Aten seemed to have gotten a kick out of it. Her hand reached out instinctively, pressing some against Aten's back as a fair warning. She was really convinced he was about to go into the cool fountain water. "Oh geeze Aten," she couldn't help but snort, shaking her head. "You officially get five days before I personally come to confirm you still exist."
Cassie continued to shake her head, folding an arm across her chest so she could cover her mouth behind her fingers. "How can you forget about eating?" the Fallen chastised in a bit of disbelief. Cassie enjoyed eating her feelings, and her short stature didn't help in hiding the fact. "Do I have to check under that fur that you're not just bones?" She sighed, moving to rub her forehead briefly. The Fallen hoped that Aten had been joking somewhere in there because what a strange world she lived in if she had to babysit Aten more than Smolder.

"Nah." Aten grinned to himself, slicking his bangs back over the top of his head again. They had fallen in his face when he nearly fell over. He had learned to dislike hair in his face, but loved his hair long. It had been a hard battle to win. Feeling a little cheeky, Aten raised one arm, flexing his muscles which made the sleeve of his shirt seem that much tighter, one hand still holding his bangs in place. "I'm not just bones, I promise." Aten relaxed his arm, seizing his flexing and set his hand back down against the stone of the fountain. "Though, admittedly, I am really lean. I barely have any weight on me, and the weight I do is muscle."

Cassie could only close her eyes following the display, shaking her head the slightest as she looked away. "And here I thought I had already met the oddest duck in the universe," she murmured in good nature, turning back to Aten with a teasing grin. There was no doubt who she was referring to. "You just went and showed him up. Good job."
Still shaking her head a little as she let out a last breathy chuckle, Cassie crossed her legs and pulled her skirt down a little bit further to accommodate the action. "Maybe I should take a page from your book then. I didn't do particularly well in Life Skills as I did in Herbalism," she sighed, a smile on her lips. "Or Phys Ed. Logically I know using your wings is cheating, but I could have totally aced doing laps if it had been allowed to flap about." She offered him a bright, blue eyed look. Cassie observed for a long moment, keeping her comments to herself. It was hard to ignore the fact that Aten had grown up rather handsome, but she confirmed she had addressed that already. It was still hard to ignore.
"Come on, you owe me some tea," Cassie declared as she stood up, wings flaring out as she bent to pick up her bag. She slung it easily over her head and onto her shoulder, grabbing Aten's bag with two hands before handing it over to him. "Once those studying get out, it's going to be impossible to place an order in a timely fashion."

Aten blinked at Cassie rather lucidly. Was Aten odd? Well, he did stay holed up in his room quite often. All that time alone would make anyone weird, he imagined. Why should he be an exception to that? "I would say it's a talent, but I'm not sure I want to be an odd duck." he said half seriously. "Smolder should be the weirdest out of the three of us. He needs to the stability and sanity in his life."Rising to his feet, Aten accepted his messenger bag from Cassie, slinging it over his shoulder, wrist bending to hold it behind his shoulder as he shoved one clawed hand in to his jean pockets. "Excellent!" he mused. "I was just thinking how much I really wanted a tea, seeing as you got me talking about it! I wonder what kind I should have ... I think I'm in the mood for a black tea today. Something bold. Not flavoured. Maybe monkey picked oolong." Aten beamed privately to himself before turning to lead the way. "Come, little chickadee!" he teased. "Time to warm our spirits! It was getting a bit cold out here anyways ... "

Cassie could only laugh, shaking her head a little as she dimpled at the cheeks. Aten actually seemed a little bit offended by her assessment and she felt a need to fix that. "Sorry. Smolder is still the weird one, the Fallen confirmed. "I actually prefer it that way. The duck thing was an endearment, I promise," the Fallen confirmed, reaching out to pat Aten's arm briefly.
Turning on her heel after confirming the contents of her bag were still there, she paused to fix her hair in the reflection of a near by window. If they were going back into public, she at least needed to presentable. She turned back again at his remark, shaking her head the slightest before catching up. "I said I would consult you so please don't make me reconsider your authority on tea," the pink winged girl couldn't help but tease, taking long strides to keep in step with the Imp.
