Just another thing that is about your character so I brought you in to see it <3

She could not have left things like they did; there was so much she had left to say to the Prince that had saved her. Words that, at the time, would not escape her lungs as they were crushed under the weight of the situation. It had all happened so fast and she was so unsure of herself, she was frightened, she was overwhelmed by it all. Ofelia had been exposed to emotions that felt alien to her, so surreal that she doubted them and herself. Though now she had time to think, time to come to terms with her loss, she was beginning to truly digest her feelings. She could not leave him without explaining herself; it would be horrible unfair. Besides, it was the least she owed him for his aid and concern. So, the brunette had prepared him a letter, one that she had left at their usual meeting place. He said he would be watching her; so maybe he would see it - or maybe it would just blow away with the wind.

Either way, her conscience told her to at least try. She kissed the back of the letter and stained it with deep crimson lipstick and then weighted it down under a building brick that was loose on the roof. She paused for a moment; to make sure this is what she wanted to do, second guessing herself one more time before she headed back inside to get warm. She needed to do this, she needed to do this so as she moved forward she would not be plagued by the guilt of it all. There was so much to do in such a short time - The winds of change were blowing and a new chapter within the Dark Mirror Court was about to begin; a chapter that would either make or break her relationship with her kin.

She climbed down the fire escape and in through her bedroom window; letting out a small sigh. She wondered, when Chloe was older and wiser about the world; how would she see her auntie Ofie? Was she going to see her as a hero or a traitor?

Hey!

I guess you were not expecting to hear from me so soon, huh? Truth is; I was not expecting to contact you so soon. I fully intended was to do as planned; bow out of your gracefully with a smile and a kiss. Walk away from the boundary we shared with no looking back. However, the way we left things does not sit well with me; there are so many things I wanted to say to you, so let me say them now - for I did not have the courage to say them to your face.

My Prince.

Castor.

I am so very sorry.

I am sorry I let you believe that you were the one that ended out contact; because it was my choice as much as it was yours. Castor, I know I never talked about myself much, but believe me when I say that losing things is nothing new to me. When you met me I had lost my home, my family, my girlfriend - heck, I even lost my name. When you pushed me away; it felt natural to me, so I accepted it when I should have fought back and I feel like I failed you in that.

I can not imagine what life is like for you; the burden you carry on your shoulders, what must fuel your nightmares. I will never be able to understand, I will never be able to relate or comprehend your struggles. I am human; and you are much more. I saw the strain on your face; and the way you talked about yourself made me worry about you.

You were always so concerned with me; but the truth was I was just as concerned about you. How lonely must it be to remain when your kingdom is done? How long have you been on your own Castor? The planet I visited had been untouched for lifetimes: how is that possible when you have memories of life there? Have you been dealing with that all alone?

When you told me to run; I did. You told me you were dark, that you were dangerous and that what we had could only end badly. You said you could never love like you once did, said that you were damaged and tainted. That might have been what you have convinced yourself, what you have been told by others, but I never thought that. I saw you for your kindness and your compassion; for your honour and your virtue. I only ever saw the wonderful person that made me smile just by saying my name; that made the world brighter with a gentle touch and a hug.

Yet still, I turned away so easily. I let you go, and now I am so afraid that you are walking a very dark path alone, believing your own lies. I have realised now that I was a fool; I might never be able to be part of your world; I might have never been able to save you; but I could have at least stood by you, continued to be by your side and offer you comfort even if all I could do was hold you. You might not be the man you once was; but despite your scars and your trauma you were still very dear to me.

I just want you to know; even if you think you do not deserve it; I would offer you my heart again. I pray for you every night; that you will be safe, that maybe one day if I am very lucky I will get to see you happy in the arms of someone who feels for you like I do. Nobody deserves to walk this life alone.

Thank you, for everything. May our stories cross again, in a simpler time.

-Ofie.

So; the first step in her plan required an explanation. Mjolnir had always been rather reserved and private; it was fair to say that besides Jett, and by extension Raven, nobody in the court knew her all too well. Now she was having to reach out to others and she knew that needed to change. So the brunette sat at her desk and opened her cell phone, after a few moments of mindless staring her fingers started to work on there own. She wrote in third person like an author writing out the life of a fictional character, write about a life that no longer belonged to her. It was so strange to think back to that time, now well over a year ago, where she walked the streets with a different face.

Originally Emillie Seer; Ofelia's story begins with the union on her parents.

Born in London, Xander Seer was a city boy with aspirations of becoming an actor. He had his big break as a teenager and spent the next ten years playing various roles on the West End; his charisma, talent and natural stage presence meant that his career was a successful one that allowed him to live a comfortable life in the capital. He was a playboy who was completely engrossed in the lights and glitz that came with his status.

Cassandra Holmes was a different kind of person entirely, born and raised in Destiny City she was a Crystal Academy student who had a love for literature and a thirst for knowledge. Cassandra, by anyone's standard, was a gifted child and she grew up to be an incredibly intelligent woman. She moved to London in her early thirties and took up a teaching position at London Metropolitan University.

By this time her book, wrote under the alias Delilah Moriarty was already a cult classic, made even more mysterious by the fact nobody knew who Miss Moriarty was: The Black Widow Complex was science fiction story with a strong female lead that was infamous because of its plot twists, dystopian feel and it's bleak and bloody ending that left readers at the time completely devastated. The work itself was ripped apart by the critics who believed that it was too sombre for the majority of readers; but the reviews did little to dampen its popularity.

Cassandra met the young Xander Seer at a party one New Year's Eve and later met him again after a performance of Hamlet that she attended with her students. The rest is really history and the two were married within two years of their meeting; not long after Cassandra fell pregnant. Wanting her daughter to follow in her footsteps and attend Crystal; the family packed their bags and moved to Destiny City. Cassandra reclaimed her position teaching at DCU and Xander went on progress his career and star in Motion Pictures.

For the first five years of Emillie's life things were very peaceful, but cracks started to appear in the marriage. Cassandra was always pushing her daughter to do better and her academic success became the woman's obsession; she made her daughter study for several hours a day after school and forced her into numerous extra curricular activities. Xander on the other hand was more of a free spirit and did not like the idea of Emillie growing up without experiencing childhood to its fullest. The marriage was not only strained by the difference in opinions when it came to raising their child; but also because Xander was spending more and more time on sets and away from the family.

At the age of seven her mother was diagnosed with an illness that she at the time did not fully understand, and by the age of nine her father left them and moved back to London after a scandal hit the gossip columns that involved a director's daughter; over time more and more stories of infidelity became apparent. Xander Seer went on to marry again and now lives with his wife and two sons. Emillie never met her extended family and all contact with her father ended long ago.

The abandonment from her father made her mother's talons dig deeper into her. Often referred to as the Iron Lady by onlookers; Cassandra's control was something intense and unwavering. She counted the amount of calories her daughter ate, cinched her waist every morning into a tight corset and made her partake in ballet classes. She was expected to come home from school and study without fail, and on the weekends she took her to museums and recitals to enrich her. At school Emillie was known as being an ice-queen; a loner that nobody messed with due to her nature that could be interpreted as being quite hostile and proud. She did not know how to handle social interactions and shunned people off entirely because of this.

However more than anything else, Cassandra wanted her daughter to learn how to play the Violin. Emillie used to play for hours under her mother's watch; every time she played a wrong note a bow would come down on her knuckles as under the sting she would correct herself. By this time her mother was too ill to work, and instead relied on the royalties that were coming in from her book. This meant she had even more time to dote on her daughter.

Emillie's views on her mother were never anything other than positive; she lived for the woman praise, worshiped the ground she worked on and was thankful for the time she invested in her despite her harsh discipline. Cassandra read to her whenever she asked, brushed her hair and laid out her clothes every morning, cooked every meal for her and took her on life changing adventures. She loved her mother so passionately despite her illness, despite her darkness and never once resented her for her actions.

Though when Emillie was granted her scholarship to the Academy there was an accident.

The young brunette landed horribly in a ballet recital and severely broke her ankle; the healing process was long and the appendage never really regained all its strength. She walked with a limp very a very long time and at times is noticeable to this day. Her dancing days were over and the time that was allotted to it in the week was changed to become more Violin lessons; Emiliie was a talented musician and took the competition circuit by storm and went on to perform numerous times both with the Crystal Academy Orchestra as well as solo performances. Music became her mother's dream and aspiration for the daughter, but the accident in which she hurt herself triggered something nasty in the aging author.

At fifteen the tables turned, and Emillie found herself taking care of her mother whose health was declining. She often had to wrestle her down to make her take medicine and always needed to be on her guard incase she escaped the house. She doted on her and pushed herself to make her proud, playing music to her always seemed to calm her and make the woman more manageable. Her father had abandoned them, she was the woman's whole world, she was determined not to let her down and do everything she could to make her happy.

At seventeen she was awakened as Sailor Mjolnir, the Senshi of Berserkers. Emillie went on trying to juggle powered life, her civilian duties and the care her mother needed, sacrificing her own self care to do so. Though her mother had noticed a change in her and the struggle got the best of Emillie; she started to spend more time away from home, seeking comfort in the beds of strangers and fans of her music to try and find comfort and a break from her increasingly stressful existence.

As signs of her father's personality started to appear in her daughter, Cassandra became increasingly difficult and violent, in the end the police got involved the the ex-professor was institutionalised - after that the two women's relationship improved dramatically due to the routine and sedatives her mother was receiving; and Emillie visited her an hour every day to read to her. Life was looking up, but went spiraling down once more when a faithful counter with the Dark Mirror Court turned everything on its head once again. Having been thrown forcibly through a Mirror by Ares, Emillie Seer was erased from the world and Ofelia Delilah Bathory was born in her place.

Cassandra, on losing her daughter, deteriorated and passed away not long after.

The brunette looked at the wall of text she had typed and sighed, wondering if it was really what she wanted. She read through it maybe three or four times; before finally adding in the contacts that she wanted to send the information to, Loke, Ubie, Raven and Jett - four people that she was hoping to see a lot over the next few weeks. Everything was about to change, and she was hoping this would be the beginning of trust between them.

Ofelia was never a religious woman; she had infact never stepped foot in a church.

So one could only imagine why her dream world manifested itself as such; with large pillars decorated with gargoyles and cherubs, with large stain glass windows which showed faces from her past - shattered; the coloured glass scattered across the cold stone floor. She could feel discomfort in her feet; but the sensation was numbed and hollow, the only evidence she had been cut were the bloodied footsteps that could be seen leading to where she stood.

The room was dark, lit only by the lights of candles that were scattered throughout the area, some on stands, some simply placed on the floor at random intervals. The altar at the top was a mass of flame and wax, roses hung from it - all of which seemed to have been dipped in a dark black fluid that cascaded down from where they were placed, pooling on the floor. Thorns were nailed to the wall and left to drape over a very human figure that was laying at the mercy of it all. Half buried under the mound of melted wax, unidentifiable because of the mass of black tar that covered it.

She had never believed in a God; but so many things had happened - so many times had she been proved wrong. There was more to this world than she could ever imagine; but even then there were so many countless worlds out there, names and places she could not even begin to understand. She had never felt so small, so helpless, or so full of wonder at the possibilities that could manifest. All those wishes of hers, they could come true. Her mind; for the first time was open and ready to be enlightened. Maybe it was not too far fetched to believe that redemption could be found; that she could be forgiven by a deity that she had never let into her life. Be it God; be it the Princess; be it the Mirror itself.

She wanted to be forgiven; for her naivety, her weakness and for the blood she had spilled for a cause that she never truly believed in. She wanted to be forgiven for being scared; for being easily lead. For not understanding. For being so painfully human and then so painfully not.

She could remember the tightness around her waist well, of material cradling every curve and dip snuggly. She always had a love hate relationship with gowns; she felt like she was suffocating but at the same time there was some comfort in the enclosement. It was like a hug, a very demanding and possessing one, but a hug none the less. The one she was wearing that day; if she remembered rightly; was the one she wore at her last gala. It was a navy blue; matt with lace detailing all around. The skirt flared out at her hips; but the bottom of the dress was ripped and soaked in the black liquid what pooled from the alter. It was the last event before everything changed; a turning point in her life. It was the end of everything, the beginning of everything.

She was sorry; she was so sorry.

Violin placed comfortably under her chin she felt the resistance of the strings as the bow pulled them forward and back; the vibrations echoing to the high ceilings. The notes were aggressive, if an instrument could scream it was doing just that; but was doing so beautifully despite its pain, despite her abuse. Her hands were covered in gloves that ended at her elbows, the material dark and almost black under the dim light. The sequins on the dress sparkled when the candlelight touched them just do; as she swayed back and forth to the rhythm. This was her sanctuary; the place she dumped all the darkness which she carried. The place she left it to die so it did not consume her civilian life.

The place her monsters lived.

She was so sorry.

It was time to move on. What a scary thought that was.

It has taken a long time to get this far; and a lot of people had helped her along the way. Castor brought her to this shelter when she was on the verge of death, and the psychiatrists, social workers and support staff had all played a huge part in putting her back together. There was no quick fix to the trauma and damage she had suffered; no magic remedy to her nightmares and the way she had been feeling. It had taken months for her to get to this point - the point where she could say that, even thought she was still recovering, she would be okay on her own and independent again.

She looked different now; not only had she recovered the weight and muscle that she lost during her time on the streets - but she was more confident in herself, she was even smiling more. Ofelia had never been what one would call an overly joyous character and in many ways she was still very reserved, cynical and critical. However now, now she was not as stoic and expressionless as she used to be. Even if the emotions she was showing were those of anger and sadness; they were emotions - something she had tried for the longest time to keep locked away. When she was younger and the primary career for her mother she refused to let people see her struggle, that attitude had followed her thought her late teens and adult life. Asking for help, relying on people, it was never something she wanted - but now she knew it was something she needed.

Nobody deserves to be alone; solitude is a choice - and never the right one.

She had felt others things too; she had left love and loss in a way she never knew possible. She had said goodbye to Ginger, she had said goodbye to her Mother and a Prince whom she cared for deeply. At the same time she had gained people who cared for her - Raven and Jett and one or two others inside the Dark Mirror Court. She might have not agreed with their agenda and she still felt deep resentment in her heart towards Ares; but she would be lying to herself if she said she did not care deeply for its members - even if she did not agree with them, even if she thought their mortals were questionable. Maybe they were right all along, nobody could pick their family and they were the only one she had now.

It was the reason why she had not chased purification; she had the chance. Camelot, Ganymede, Castor - they could have all helped her but she chose to stay but. Partly because she did not know the effects such a thing would have on her already strained starseed, but also because the idea of starting over and loosing everything for a second time - it would break her, she knew it would break her. Fear was as good of a motivation as many; it is what kept her alive on battles and conflict, it had made her and think about her actions and their consequences. It was true that Mjolnir was always the first to throw herself in a fight, but she would assure you that she was afraid. She had always been afraid.

Afraid of power, afraid of loosing control, afraid of loosing those she loved.

She might have not started her life out as Ofelia, but it was who she was now and a year after her forced corruption she was finally ready to make it her persona. She had found herself a job that had kept her stable for a while working in a cafe - but a servers wage was not going to give her stability. So she had now moved onto another profession which would allow her to get her own place and have a stable income. She now spend her days working reception at a dentist surgery, making appointments, keeping profiled up to dates and doing other general administrative duties.

It was only a small practise; there was one other receptionist who was blonde and bubbly that kept her company on the front desk - and three dentists working in the building. It was a quick passed environment and there was always work to be doing. However every so often when it was quiet she could break for a coffee with her co-workers, who had all been nothing but kind to her since she started. Her hours were also stable; which was a huge relief - no more closing late at night and switching shifts last minuet.

So now, finally, she was walking out of the shelter for the last time and starting afresh at her own rented apartment. It was nothing flashy, but it was hers and it was home. It had a kitchen / living space which had a laundry room connected to it. There also had access to a small balcony where she could sit out and read. It had one bedroom which was large enough for a double bed and dresser with a connecting bathroom - she had a bathtub; and that had sealed the deal for her. The thought of being able to come home and get a long bubble bath, it was paradise. She did not have much to bring with her; so for now it remained unfurnished and a bit baron. In her mind she was thinking of colour schemes and furniture she could buy - but that was all a long way off from now.

She would just concern herself with rent first.

There was a knock on the door not too long after she had settled; and on answering it was her old manager from the Coffee house; in one hand there was a pizza box and in the other was a bottle of wine. He was smiling.

"Hey Ofie, let's celebrate your first night in your new place!"
