Jason's warning had him pull back briefly, breathing heavily as he waited for his next target. He both felt and heard a familiar crackle going up and down Zephira though, and with a grin he jumped and dove at the next opponent that came charging out from the group. The girl went down with a bright lightning-esque shock, and Rhys was satisfied for all of a second before he felt someone's fist dig into his side, and then quickly into his face.
"Dammit.." he groaned as he was forced back, and he held his sword in front of him.
HP: 18
DMG: 4 (buhh.....)
CHG: 0/3 (fear: tc, 1 used)

Being that she had a sniper rifle, without experience Scout's shots were either a hit or a miss. They did a lot of damage if they hit, but just grazing the surface of someone's skin wasn't going to do anything.
Even she could see that her defense was paltry at best, but at least she was trying.
"Rhys could you help defend Jason?" she asked glumly, because apparently she wasn't enough.

Another swing of his sword, and the weapon began to glow a ominous black, a telltale sign that Zanth was ready to use a charged attack. Jason was ready, preparing to lash out, but a sudden gunshot to his head distracted Jason, and his attack went wide. This left him to stare at the wall dejectedly, a golden opportunity wasted. He was a little worse for wear by the time Scout made the suggestion, and he couldn't find any reason to object. At this rate he'd likely die in the middle of the fight if he just kept to the offense.
"Yeah, I got 'im," he said into the earpiece before glancing around to find Jason. Rhys maneuvered his way over to the guy, managing to fend off some attacks along the way and even a few that were specifically aimed at the other hunter before standing back to back with him.

Seeing Jason and Rhys both together let her breathe a lot easier; now they had a good momentum going. Even better, with them being so close together it was a lot easier for Scout to aim and protect them without having to go back and forth between the two.
A bullet smack into one of the humans' arms just as he was about to hit Rhys with his red runic axe. "Be careful!" she called, ducking under the table once more.

With Rhys at his back, it became easier to dodge the blows aimed at him while keeping the other trainee safe. Scout was also hidden, the humans ignoring her for now. Good, he'd keep their attention on himself. It was still difficult, with so many people around Jason struggled to land a decent blow; when he struck out at once person, another moved to block his attack. Looks like they weren't the only ones who could use battle tactics. HP: 29 Damage 1 Charge: 1/3 Boss HP: 53

They really were in some kind of a groove, and Rhys couldn't help the grin that settled on his face as he slashed another guy going for Jason straight across the middle. It was just one after the other, like popcorn bubbling out of the popper. Some hits were bound to get through, but he grit his teeth and bore it, simply whacking at whoever felt like targeting the blond hunter behind him.
"Yo, any chance you can take a headcount from your perch?" he asked, hoping for an end this fight sooner rather than later.

He whapped a guy that was aiming a gun at Jason promptly with the side of his sword before kebabing him temporarily, grunting all the while.
This was turning into a long and messy fight...

Thanks to Rhys, Jason finally had some room to work with, and swung his sword and- W-wait did he just decapitate someone?! Jason stumbled back and shrieked, because that was something he really didn't want to- Oh, no, no it was just a red scarf. ..Okay then. HP: 20 Damage 10 Charge: 3/3 Boss HP: 42
