The text popping up on her phone was a welcome distraction from the pile of fabric that she was trying to make sense of. Scooping the phone up, Daisy grinned at the message and shot a quick reply back to ask for directions. Then, she decided that a shower was in order to rid herself of the red ink and glitter stuck to her skin. Unless she wanted people to think she'd been out murdering unicorns, which hey. That could be a fun ice breaker. Or possibly single her out as a cause for alarm. Either way, she’d be entertained, right?

By the time she was clean and out of the tub, directions were waiting on her phone and she hurried to get dressed and out the door. A movie night was, by nature, as casual as one could get without being in pajamas. And with that in mind, she threw on a pair of jeans with a pair of well worn boots and a pokemon muscle shirt that showed off a fair bit of muscle-y midriff. Then, just to be polite, she grabbed a few movies off of her own shelves. Would anyone underage be there? Nadia hadn’t really said. Better to be safe and stick with G and PG fare. After a few moments of mental inventorying, she decided she was ready and flew out the door.

Inhaling the cool air, she hummed a little under her breath as she plugged Nadia’s address into her phone and mapped out a walking route. She could be there in fifteen minutes if she jogged. And since jogging was as easy as walking, she decided to do just that.

By the time she reached the address she'd been given, she could hear voices inside and raised her hand to knock firmly on the door. She'd never been a team meeting before in any capacity, so this had the potential to be interesting. And she thought she heard the slightly higher pitched voice of a kid, so points to her for picking kid friendly flicks! But before she could knock or call out to those inside, she felt her phone buzz in her pocket. Pulling it out, she frowned and then sighed. So much for movie night.

With resentful little taps at her phone, she let her manager know that she’d be in to cover the shift in about half an hour. She just needed to go home and change. Then, she sent a quick, apologetic text to Nadia.

Gonna have to take a rain check. Literally just got called in to work an emergency shift coverage. We can catch up later, yeah?

Then, moving quietly so she wouldn’t bother anyone inside… Okay, so no one inside would know she’d been on the doorstep as she sent her apologies for flaking, she turned on her heel and darted from Nadia’s place for home. When she got in to work, she was going to rip the manager a new one. Though it would be nothing compared to the lecture she was going to read the little idiot who’d called out at the last possible minute.
