Drakiabel starred with fascination as Raz began to explain how to go about whittling and the importance of the direction of tree rings when one carved. It was all rather technical, or at least that was the way Razvan was making it seem.
"Alright!" He clasped his paws together with a grin coursing over his face. The brightly Tahtll was still not one hundred percent certain on what exactly to begin creating, and then it occurred to him that he should begin small, and make perhaps a ball to begin with. He reached out to take hold of one of the larger knives, and quickly scanned the table for a chunk of wood to begin with. Aha, a square! With a flick of his tail Drakiabel reached to drag the wooden block closer to him, and then he clutched it in his palm, feeling the weight of it and trying to decide where to begin whittling.
At some point he made up his mind and began to shave small bits and pieces of the corner of the square off, several of which went flying across the table, or jumped in the direction of one of the other b'alam located beside him. Drak flattened his ears and with a apologetic smile ushered out a quick "Sorry" to all of them.

Aurel stared at his block of wood for a while trying to picture what he should make out of it. He noted the rings in the wood just like Raz had indicated. Lifting a paw he rubbed it against the block of wood. Setting the block down he lifted one of the tools and began to whittle away at it smoothing away the corners of the block just like Raz had said.
Still Aurel did not know what he wanted to make out of the block of wood but figured it would come to him as he continued to work on it. His first shavings off the block were a bit crude, but as he got the hang of it they became a bit smoother. Aurel was enjoying himself carving upon the block was quite relaxing.
"Aside from puppets what do you normally carve out of these blocks?" he questioned. Still wondering himself what he should carve.

Listening to what Raz had said she dug through the drawers and found the tool she was looking for and picked up one of the blocks and started to do as was instructed. With this she didn't exactly have to use telekinesis. Though she knew that once she got an understanding of how the whole process worked she would use it instead as there was more precision to it when she went that route. She made a careful note about cutting away from herself. Last thing she needed was to injure her paw on something. "I find this to be quite fun!" She said with a happy smile.

Following suite he took a seat and looked at the different tools that were in the drawer and selected the one that Raz had shown everyone else and eyed the block before him for a moment. So what would he make out of this? He was sure eventually he would need to know how to do this, especially if he wanted to care idols. Though he wouldn't do that by paw. Much like the blue female that had accompanied him he was just doing it this way to get a feel for the wood and an understanding of how to work with it. You did have to start somewhere. Much to his surprise, he was actually enjoying this. Mainly because he had to focus all of his attention on what he was doing and it made his mind vacant of everything else. Maybe he found himself a future job working for the theater? He'd mull it over for now, but he didn't want to exactly jump to conclusions after all.
