Yes, I know! Earlier this year is when I first came out about being bi, but even before then I stood up for it. Whenever someone around me called something "gay" or called someone a "f**" I flipped out. I would scream that it's not wrong to be gay and that if they had a problem with it then it was their own insecurities. ^-^

Ninjara the only time i have ever used that terminology was when i said this to one of my friends: "The Wiggles... Now there's a show even Richard Simmons would call gay." i shouldn't laugh at that...but its true... redface

I must admit, sometimes it accidentally slips my mouth, and I apologize for that. Now I just say, "That's retarded" or something...of course that could offend someone as well.
Perhaps it's just a figure of speech? Or maybe something that others don't really take mind of what they're saying. *shrugs*

Well, I don't agree with it, but I do think its funny how they use it sometimes, I mean seriously...how can inanimate objects be gay?! stare

I've decided that there's not much point in getting mad or anything when people say "That's gay!" or something like that. It's always going to happen, no matter how much it may bug you.

hey now, when i call something gay or queer, it's a compliment, and i refuse to believe others can say it as anything else. it's what gets me through the day.

Wow, never thought of it that way. But when people use gay as an insult, that's not necessarily something to be proud of.

Sesshoru Wow, never thought of it that way. But when people use gay as an insult, that's not necessarily something to be proud of. hey, if they use it as an insult, it's their own fault. i'm bi and proud, so it doesn't phase me.

It really really bothers me, and has for a long time. Whenever my friends use it I always lecture them, so they don't usually say it around me now. And, as crimson_brimstone said, how can inanimate objects be gay? It's riduculous. And people are always saying this and that are gay. It's not only insulting to people, but it's annoying to hear everyone saying it over and friggen over! I hear it at least twenty times everyday.

The only thing that really bugs me is that I have homosexuals friends who think that since they're gay they can say it all they want, and me being the hypocrite I am just respond with "stop being so straight". Its all just a fad that will come and go. Just deal with it or shrug it off for the time being and wait for the next insulting hip new thang to pop up.

I agree with T-J's post a while back... I think it's probably just a name that's developed since like.... the iron age where if you were homosexual you were burned sweatdrop
