Zeke’s teasing earned him a slight giggle from Raz as the women gave him the ‘uh ha’ look. Despite the fact she wasn’t looking at her raevan, baby boy was being watched from the corner of her eye. The constant moving between looking out the door and then floating back to the two adults had Raz choking back more laughter as she promptly took hold of the boy’s arm. As endearing as it was, the back-and-forth-ing was starting to make her dizzy. This earned her a small pout from the Akhlut as he floated silently by her side. There was a slightly longer silence before he finally said something.
“Fine. I’m…fine.” he answered slowly as he tested the words. Though there was a pause as he took the time to look at Raz’s hand as it locked him in place. There was a look of mild disappointment as he returned to answering the rest of the questions, “I...like Raz, and I would like that, but can we move outta here? I’ve already been through the room twice, and I'd really like to move on without fearing for Raz’s halting method…that was what that was right? A way to stop me?”
“Ah no, that was me trying to introduce myself and being a bit too excited.”
“…I’m not going to die from that am I?”
“Nah, I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t get that unless you do something to warrant it.” Raz’s answer in addition to the hand flap earned her a solid, and mildly concerned, stare from the raevan before he turned to Zeke in silent questioning of she’s joking right.

Zeke's face lit up when the Frei started to speak and slowly thereafter a look of awe took hold when said Raevan proved his was actually quite well spoken. A laugh followed more quickly after that at his particular choice of words.
Well what do you know! Looks like Raz would have a bit of a handful with this one!
"Don't worry, she's harmless, I think." He winked at the monochrome Frei when those yellow eyes focused on him. "She was just eager to meet you!" And better a Guardian who was just a touch overexcited to meet their ward than one who was ambivalent or uninterested, in Zeke's opinion. "If you'd like to move, I think that can be arranged! We can all head to the lobby! Raz, you still have a few more things to sign before I can let you go but more importantly..."
His brown eyes went from Raz to Mr. Monochrome and back again, this time giving the pink-haired dynamo a wink.
"This handsome fella needs a name!"

The raevan paled a little at Zeke’s joke regarding Raz being harmless, but was quickly knocked out of it by Raz hooking an arm around his neck. It felt odd for him at first, but readjusting his floating height made the position less awkward for both him and his guardian as she wasn’t dangling off of his shoulder anymore. Turning to give Raz an unimpressed look, the Frei couldn’t glare at her in full face when he saw the smile she flashed him.
“Can we go?”
“Alright, alright. Let’s hustle!” Raz laughed, giving Zeke a thumbs up as they moved out of the room. The woman takes a moment though when the question of a name was brought up.
Hmmm…
She had a list of names ready, but at this point none of them really seems to fit. Maybe she should…?
On the way to signing more documents, Raz kept turning to stare at her baby boy some more. The actions eventually got the Frei bristling because why was she looking at him so often now was there something on his face? The look only earn him a small laugh from Raz, though he felt himself go a little off balance when Raz released him from her grasp.
“I got it!” She declared, “His name’s Solo!”
“…Solo?” a look of confusion was on his face as Solo stared at his smiling guardian who just nodded.

Just before they all reached the lobby door Raz blurted out a name. Zeke paused mid-step, turning to look at the woman with his brows raised in mild surprise before letting his eyes drift over to the Frei floating at her side. The boy looked puzzled but who wouldn't be even a little upon hearing a name for the first time?
"Solo..." Zeke tested the name for himself much like Anya had done with the names of newborns she had met in the past. Quickly his smile returned across his face and even though his opinion on the topic really didn't matter much, he wasn't about to not say he approved. "I like it! He's definitely a one-of-a-kind guy; a real solo standout!" Zeke winked at Raz and beamed at her ward, pushing the door open for the pair to move through before him.
"What do you think, kiddo? Think you're a Solo?"
The lobby was brightly lit overhead from the lights but past the windows the world was darkened and only illuminated by orange-yellow street lights and the passing head and tail lights of cars. Once the pair was through Zeke made a beeline for his desk and got the necessities set up for Raz to read over and sign as she needed to.
"When you're ready," Zeke's voice was cheery as he gestured to the final forms and pen, "just read this over and sign where it asks! Once you're done, I'll give my signature and you two will be all set to head on home!"

While Raz once again laughed and thanked Zeke, she turned to see her Solo’s reaction to Zeke’s questioning of whether the raevan liked his name or not. The reaction…was oddly cute? Solo had blinked at the question before looking back and forth between the two humans. He didn’t seem sure how he was supposed to react in such a situation, but only slowly nodded in response.
So-lo.
He liked the sound of the word. However, whether it was him…Maybe? The raevan looked distracted as he started testing his own name over and over again. Occasional ‘hmm’s and repetitions of his name could be heard as he repeats his name a little too loudly, though he seems oddly deep in thought regarding it.
So deep, in fact, that he had completely missed the fond and amused smile of his guardian.
“I guess he likes it.” She laughed as she looped her arm around Solo’s and lead the two of them after the man. The raevan continues to test out his name while Raz looked over the final set of forums, and picked up the pen with her free hand to sign as indicated. “And. There. We. Go~!”
Placing the pen back on the table, Raz decided to finally knock Solo out of his thinking process. “Solo, it’s almost time to head home.”
“Home?”
“Yeah…though we’re going to have to brave the cold.” Raz let out a sheepish laugh, “I didn’t drive here today…though probably wouldn’t have been a good idea either. I…have no idea if a frei can ride a motorcycle since you guys technically don't have legs or butts.”

"I think that's a safe bet." Zeke chuckled as he too watched the Frei test the name on his tongue and seem to find it good. "Solo it is then!"
Raz completed the paperwork and Zeke took over to review and make sure she had marked every nook and cranny. She had done well - nothing missed - and so he gave his own signature and the date at the very end. He started to confirm that they were indeed good to go - nothing more was needed, not unless Raz needed something of him in some way - but when the words 'we're going to have to brave the cold' fell from the pink-haired woman's lips, what had started to come from Zeke was dropped and replaced right away.
"I'll give you guys a ride!" There was a touch of alarm in his tone as he said the words but they were also placed as if he would be hard pressed to take no for an answer. "It's getting to be really chilly here at night, especially with the ocean wind blowing in! Don't want either of you to catch a cold and TRUST ME, it's no trouble at all!"
His hand went to his pocket and he pulled out his keys, giving them a jingle with the auto-start fob pinched between his index finger and thumb.
"What do you say? It's got heated seats~"

Raz has wanted to object if only because Zeke would have been going out of his way but, before she could say no, the man had already offered. She felt a little stunned but just felt her smile grow not just in size but warmer as well. It felt nice to meet and interact with someone so kind. The pink haired woman nodded, “Thank you so much, Zeke! I really appreciate it! Hey Solo, guess we’re not going to freeze our butts off after all. Say thank you.”
Her response had resulted in a look of puzzlement from the monochrome raevan, though it took little time and some subtle arm tugs for Solo to do are requested. “Thank…you?” he tested again, though it felt awkward and he’s a bit puzzled as to why he had to do it. He wasn’t sure why Raz was so happy about not freezing their butts off, but apparently heated seats treat those kinds of things.
Noting the expression Raz made a mental note that, as much as her raevan can talk, he’s still got some learning to do when they get him settled down. She patted his arms a couple of times in an attempt to draw his attention and, when Solo turned to face her, he was greeted with a wonderful smile. There was an evident halt in his movement but he felt his lips twitch awkwardly to smile back.
It wasn’t perfect, but Raz liked it.
Turning away from her boy, the pink haired woman grinned at Zeke with a thumbs-up to show that they were set to go when he is.
“We’re ready when you are!”

"Hey no problem! Happy to be of service."
Family helped family and that's just what the Lab was. Zeke pressed a button on the fob before closing the keys in his hand and beaming at Solo when the Frei imparted a - albeit confused - thank you.
"You're welcome! You're both welcome!" He was grinning from ear to ear, bouncing on his toes at the prospect of having their company on the drive. He could get to know Raz a little better and Solo could experience a car and driving around inside of one firsthand.
"Before we go, lemme give you this," he went back to his desk and procured the complimentary contact list of the Guardian/Raevan pairs. "Names, addresses, and phone numbers. Lab staff is at the top and you're free to give me a call or shoot a text whenever you want or need to!"
He pointed at the staff names, saving his own for last. His address showed he lived in Durem, in a suburban area just outside of the metropolitan city area and that he had three numbers for contact.
"Okay! Now that you have that, everything is taken care of! We can head out right now!" He gestured to the door before walking toward it in order to hold the door open for the new pair. As they neared, he held up his index finger as if he just realized something, complete with a dawning expression to go right along with it. "Oh! Before I forget! Just so you're aware, Raz, Solo is currently at a VERY high risk for getting used to a luxurious ride. I don't want to worry you and I'm not usually one to toot my own horn buuuut I have a pretty sweet car!"
