As Sabine joined her, Phact reached up to pet Arthur's ears in hope of calming him down slightly. "But we make sure we don't do anything too stupid. Neither Sabine nor I want to go home hurt so we use our minds over just force. Besides," She pulled her hand down and smiled. "We aren't fully looking for trouble. If we don't find anything out, we go home and curl up in warm blankets."
Phact was just about to say something else when she stopped. The hair on the back of her neck was standing up.
"Sabine, you feel that?"

Despite their reassurances, he could only feel nervous and miserable at the prospects that tonight might bring. It was what senshi did, the people he had on numerous occasions helped create into their dangerous career, but it was better for it all to be out of sight, out of mind, and distancing himself from those responsibilities. It's why he never lingered to give any explanations to senshi he created - not that he would know what to tell them.
"I like the blankets option more." He grumbled to himself before tensing, tail puffing as he sensed it too.
"I don't feel anything." He lied.

She felt the chill and thrill run down her spine and much like Phact the tiny hairs on the back of her neck were definitely standing up. Oh yeah, she felt it. She hated sensing youma. She wondered if Negaverse agents were worse? She'd yet to run into one of those (thankfully most of her patrols were with Phact so she hoped them traveling in a pair discouraged such things) and she was starting to think she might not want to period. "Yes, Phact, I feel it." She nodded her head a little. One hand reached up and she gently stroked Arthur's head to reassure him. "It'll be okay, once we find the Youma we'll defeat it and then we can finish our patrol and then we can bed down for a bit with some warm blankets."

As Sabine reached to comfort her passanger, Phact kept her senses opened. She was trying to get a direction on the source. To the east?
She turned trying to see if she was right. But it was what caught her eye that made her realize she had been. Just a bit late.
"Move!" Phact called out as the ground below them started to shake. Something was charging at them shaking the ground with it's weight. Grabbing Sabine by the arm, Phact yanked the pair backwards just as the creature jumped through the tree line.
What looked back at them was...odd.
A centaur of sorts. Half man, half...rhino? That explained the shaking under the weight. But what worried Phact was those horns in the middle of its head. Quickly it turned on them, beat at the human waist...
And charged.

The sudden yank had Arthur digging his claws into Sabine. Despite being on her shoulders, he could feel the pounding hooves of the creature, and as it charged, he hissed and jumped off the senshi, not wanting to be around her or IT while this tragedy of a night was going on.
"It's too big! Bad youma pick! Let's skip this one!" He called out, wanting for them to patrol for a much smaller youma.

"Sorry Arthur I'm afraid we can't do that!" Sabine said as she backpedaled a bit to regain her footing after Phact had pulled her out of the way. It was a big one though that was for sure. Frowning, she quickly jumped out of the way of the charging youma. She hoped it wouldn't be able to turn while it ran like that otherwise dodging would be out of the question.
"Plan?!" She called over to Phact, looking around to see if there was anything they could use in their surroundings to help fight. Her senshi magic was not at all offensive. She could probably get Phact into position though - to set up what she didn't know.

At the charge, Phact jumped the opposite way from Sabine, splitting to the other side so if it could turn in a dime, it couldn't get both of them. Lucky for them it seemed rhino body meant forward was easy. Spins took a bit more.
"Arthur, get to high ground!" Phact called out seeing the cat take off. Now that they were in its path, running wasn't a choice. "Stay away from its feet!" Last thing any of them would want was a hurt of squished cat.
Looking back at Sabine, Phact inhaled. "Kill it." She smiled but stumbled as she felt the ground shake again. The rhino centuar was turning to charge again. "Wear it out. It looks like it is all muscle. Two on one. Keep it moving."
Phact led by example, running to the side of the youma making it so it had to pick which direction to go.
With a hard stomp, it turned after Sabine. Horn lowered, it closed after.

Arthur did not need asked and jumped up onto a trash can, then up onto a window ledge and....."This ist he highest I can go!" He cried out, looking around and noticing there was nothing he could climb up on. He was only at about shoulder level.
So, instead, he pressed his body against the window and tensed, watching them actually move towards the youma and call out the order to kill it.

Sabine watched as the youma charged her down. Wait for it... Wait for it... Once the youma was about a yard away she jumped quickly to the right, trying to remain opposite of Phact at all times. "Think we can lure it into something? Do we know if there is anything around here that we can use to spear it on?"
It was a big charging things - that screamed potential impalement to her. "You know - like a knight's lance?"
Mother - thank you for your wonderful books. Sabine could not believe she was thanking her mother for her literature - but it might just keep her from getting squished and save some other people in the process.

Shaking her head, Phact bent down to pick up a rock and chunk it towards the creature. It bounced off the hide like nothing more than a fly. "Unless we can run it into a building or a tree. But I don't know what a tree will do..." Phact called out as she took a turn jumping to the side of the beast. It changed her direction sending the senshi in white spinning. Turning radius...low.
Arthur's voice caught her attention, and the attention of the youma. Turning, its eyes faced the cat. Quickly they narrowed and its hooves stomped the ground.
A sounds like a growl mixed with the roar of a lion came from its throat. The two humans were too quick. The animal however seemed glued to the spot. Out of frustration, it charged.

Sabine had her tactics. Arthur was about to show his.
First, all the hairs on his body stood on end as he saw the youma turn to him. It was bad enough when they spotted him on the street, but he wasn't in any position to make as clean of an escape as usual - not that Phact had seen him do many clean escapes the first time she met him.
Tail bristled, he looked about and then pressed his entire body against the window, but again, he had no place to go.
The creature was going straight for him, which meant he didn't have much time to do much of anything. Jumping down put him on the path to get trampled and staying would get him smashed against glass.
Frantic, he let out a hiss before he arched his back and did the only thing he could think of doing.
His start flashed bright before a beam of energy shot out at the creature..............and completely flew past it's shoulder hitting a streetlight, sending it crashing.
And with that, Arthur's list of tactics was finished.

Well it was a spectacular - or was it speCATular - display of puff and posturing on the part of Arthur to fire the beam at the youma. That much Sabine had to admit. Shame about the aim though, which was something he should probably work on. All the same, this left the Senshi of Tactics with very few tactical options. There was cowgirl out - or play it safe. Since playing it safe kept Arthur in an unacceptable level of danger, Sabine decided that there was only one option. Running sidelong at the youma, she leapt high and vaulted onto it's back, her hands moving to try and grab it in some sort of hold she'd seen her older brother do to his friends. Placing her arms under the youma's she placed her hands on the back of its head and pushed. Then she locked her legs around the youma as best she could. Sabine really hoped her riding lessons were about to pay off. Sirene Naiads Move along little doggies.

There were two things that happened in the blink of an eye that caused the senshi of doves to stop in her tracks and do a double take.
The first was the beam of light that shot out of the panicking cat's head. This was Phact's first time ever seeing the magical ability and her eyes quickly shot towards the post that now laid broken. Note to self: stay out of the direct line of a cat's forehead.
The second thing was as she turned her attention back from the lamp towards the youma and Sabine. Phact's head dropped. No wonder Sabine and her got alone so well. Just a year or so ago, she had done the completely same thing on the back of a spider youma. If anyone ever suggested a senshi radio, looked as if they had their bull riders.
So as Sabine 'rode' the rhino, Phact used the chance to make a dive towards the broken street lamp. Senshi strength or not, she couldn't pick up the entire pole but the top part she could use as a 'club'. Broken glass was an added perk.
"Sabine! Get him to come this way!" Did a rhino take commands? For Arthur's sake she hoped so. Poor kitty was going to need lots of love.

Arthur, fully depleted of energy, slumped down against the glass and gave a soft, gentle meow before going quiet, his eyes half open as he looked out at the chaos before him.
He wasn't good at this. He REALLY wasn't good at this.

Sabine hoped this would work. Leaning hard as she could she tried to steer the rhino youma with both her knees - her left one now digging hard into its side - and her arms, trying to twist it's human side toward where Phact was calling. Her thoughts weren't entirely on the fight. She was hoping Arthur was okay. She could only imagine what sort of strain this put on the poor thing. She knew little of what these magical talking space cats could do. The laser thing was new - and the fact that there had been no follow up meant there was either a recharge or worse - it was like a bee sting. She hoped it was like the former and not the later. Still, she guided the monstrosity beneath her as best she could, trying to force it to turn toward phact in the hope of dusting it in some fashion.
