A strong, well-aimed heel to the undying's gut had it staggering back into the darkness. For a moment, as Yuki took what he imagined would only be seconds to breathe, he rounded on the human himself with a look that mirrored his deep displeasure.
"Why couldn't you listen?!" Yuki shouted, a hand coming to his head when just the volume of his own voice and the force of shouting made it pound.
"Do you realize what you're doing?! She kills me and I go home! You're trying to save the life of someone who's already dead!"

An unearthly screech filled the air, that was strangled and then instantly cut off. There was nothing but silence from the shadows where Yuki's creature had been, and if they went to look for it, there would be nothing left but silence. Quote: Damage: 13 Mob HP: OVERKILL Riley's HP: 50/60

Once the being was down, Jason turned when Yuki shouted, looking a little hurt at his words and his expression.
"...W-we don't know that for sure.." Jason replied, bitting his bottom lip. "You might not go home if you're killed... I couldn't take that chance...and b-besides, you have a civilian. If...if the worst h-happened, I couldn't leave her to die."
The sudden screech had him wizzing around, trying to hide the frigtene dlook on his face and looking for the source of the scream.. "W-what was..."

Jason. She whispered again, only to his mind. Help me. I'm trapped. Here, in the dark, you have to get me out of here!A soft, cold chill of air blew from behind him, trying to push him towards the darkness.

Yuki's expression softened, but then he just looked worried. He let out the deep breath that he realized he'd been holding, tense.
"We're not on the same side, you know that! You're making a mistake."
The shrill sound startled him back to the most important matter at hand. s**t.
"You stay there." Yuki stated firmly, raising a hand toward him in gesture. He wasn't sure if he'd actually listen, considering how gloriously well he was doing the exact opposite of what he'd been told, but at least the ghost was between them.
He had a very vivid idea of what was waiting where the light from the broken roof could not reach. He just didn't know that she was beckoning him to her.

Riley spoke again, sounding frantic, frightened. The cold air rushed through, making him shiver and pull his coat around tighter.
Jason didn't look to happy at Yuki's words, and even though he told him to stay were he was, chose to instead walk towards the darkness. Though he heard Zanths warning, he couldn't ignore Riley's frantic pleas for help, even if he had a very strung hunch a zombie was gonna jump him in the darkness.
"I-it's okay Yuki. I g-got this." He spoke, walking past the ghost and further into the unknown.

When Jason entered the darkened area of the casino, he found nothing that would jump out or attack him. The dead bodies (and a few lives ones, considering the humans that were really not being well taken care of here) laid still and unmoving, no matter how deep he walked into it. But the voice continued. Just a little closer. You're almost there. She promised to him alone. I'm so tired, Jason. Please, help me.Something slithered against his feet; a snake, perhaps?

Yuki looked stunned when Jason - <******** again - did the exact opposite as he was told.
"Alright then," Yuki said in a low and sarcastic tone. "Please, Jason, wander right into where it's really dark and dangerous. Oh? You're going to listen to me this time? Well. Can't say I didn't try to play your Opposite Game."
The silence unnerved him, but the fact that Riley hadn't pounced gave him the smallest sliver of hope. She hadn't hesitated in attacking him... Had it been a bluff?

"Yuki my Job is to go into really dark and dangerous places." Jason replied, sounding like a wounded puppy dog. "Plus, I'm not letting whatever attacked you get away with it."
He heard her voice again, frowning. Couldn't Yuki hear her voice? This was the person that he had loved, so wouldn't he be concerned?
When he felt something move against his feet he might have yelped, and stumbled backwards into Yuki. "J-just a s-snake" He stammered out.

As Jason stumbled back into the light with Yuki, he wouldn't notice the creature that emerged from the shadows in front of him. It was a slow slide out of the darkness, each inch of her exposed as the light crept further down her body. She moved like a wildcat in the brush, looming closer until she, herself, was casting Jason back in shadow. Her tentacles held taller; a foot above Jason's head; but her eyes were intent and focused on Yuki, capturing them solidly in her very satisfied gaze. Her hand slid out, delicately sliding around Jason's neck. The claws wrapped around his esophagus finger by finger, holding him firmly until he pulled away from Yuki and pressed against her chest instead. There she held him, barely touching the ground, and she dipped down to press her cheek fondly against his, with her head tilted mischievously at Yuki. Look at us. She whispered to the both of them, her white eyes bending to crescents of mock amusement. The old gang, back together again. How sweet.

"Yuki, what are you..." The ghost was looking even paler, if that was possible for a ghost, and before Jason could figure out why he saw that the area had gotten a little darker. Something was blocking out the light above him, casting a shadow over both himself and Yuki. A shadow with many wriggling appendages.
His eyes widened when a clawed hand grasped his neck. Not enough to choke him, but enough to elicit a squeak from the frightened moon hunter. Judging from the shadow cast he could see whatever it was was extremely tall. Obediently he moved when he felt the tug of her grip, not wishing his air supply to be cut off, until he was pressed into a feminine chest. Only then was he able to get a better look at what was behind him. And once he did, Jason's face went as pale as Yuki.
A tall feminine body, tentacled hair ready and waiting to tear them apart, a face with no mouth, yet he could tell by her crinkled cheeks and crescent white eyes that she was amused. He audibly whimpered when her cheek was rubbed against his.
Once he heard her speak, words only heard in his head, his finally made the connection that this, was Riley.
this is the happiest day of my life. 'I hate you so much right now'

Yuki held his breath, even though technically he could have gone without the breathing part to begin with. He still walked behind the man, keeping close, since apparently talking him out of being an idiot wasn't going to happen.
Jason jumped and Yuki jolted. "Snake?"
Snake.
"W-wait, that's-"
Before he could get out the warning of probably not a snake he noticed the movement from behind the Hunter as Jason turned. The ghosts's teal eyes widened, pupils constricting into tiny pinheads as his gaze looked past the blonde. Behind him. Above.
He didn't even realize that it wasn't the tentacles that he needed to worry about until the sound that Jason made drew his attention. He saw the fingers around the man's neck, and the creature who held him now in her claws, taunting them both.
"Why?" Yuki questioned immediately, his voice holding a barely audible waver. "He did nothing; why would you want him?"
Riley had her reasons for hating him, but Jason? Aside from being a human, a Hunter, he couldn't imagine why Riley wanted to torment Jason as well.

I told you. But she hadn't, really. Not while he was awake, at least. It isn't about him. Or you. You put too much importance in your own meager little lives. I must kill. I must continue until somehow, I am sated. But in her eyes it was clear that there was an importance to both Yuki, and Jason, that she refused to reiterate. If there was a chance their deaths could free her, well. So be it. Her eyes turned to Jason, now, and her face pressed against his once more. Did you miss me, Jason? It's been so long. And to think, all this time you were a human. A hunter. It's no wonder he calls out to you, begging for help. Her eyes flickered to Yuki for one moment of glaring betrayal. I've already established him to be a traitor. This comes as no surprise. But now, she had them both in her clutches, and there was no one there to witness their death. A shudder of pleasure went through her at the anticipation. This was exactly what she was looking for. Jason. She whispered, the soft, siren voice returning as she beckoned his attention back towards her face. Would you like to see the real me?

"Then let him go," Yuki pleaded. He didn't expect her to listen, but it couldn't stop him from making the attempt.
Why didn't Jason just listen to him?
Yuki was clearly torn between staying where he was and trying to move. He inched closer, a slide of his soles along the floor, even if he knew that there was little hope of getting the man away from Riley if she didn't want it to happen.
His breath quickened when that false, pleasant voice made Jason the offer. With urgency Yuki closed the small distance between them and sought to pry Riley's fingers from their hold around his throat and part the two.
"N-No," he stammered, "I can't let you do this to him, too!"
