When it was over the warmth of the campfire seemed a lot less so, but still Drew stayed. Even nodded his acknowledgement to the other Mall Rats that had apparently been there...though he didn't say a word to either of them, and eventually they left to do whatever it was they intended to do and he was on his own again. Surrounded by unfamiliar company. He tried to focus on the dancing flames for a while, but soon his attention was drawn to the girl a little way's to his left.

She was focused solely on the fire, repeating something over and over though he couldn't quite catch the words. He moved to close the distance somewhat, stepping forward and slightly to his left to hear what it was she was saying.

"I lied, I lied, I lied..." she chanted at a whisper. Immediately Drew's attention snapped back to the fire. There was nothing about their situation that made him curious about what she lied about. Rather, he was curious what lying had done, and why she felt so guilty about an act that people did so easily these days. Lie, cheat, steal. It was why being in a group was vital; there were allies, at least.

He turned away from the girl and was about to walk of until he saw a boy just staring at him. He stared back for a time, but something about the look shook him and with one last look at the flames he walked away. The voices echoed on, causing him to lose focus for barely a second and trip over a shovel on his way.

"Damnit," he grumbled, the anxiety once again bringing the burning feeling of an itch he couldn't scratch to spread like fire all across his back. He picked up the instrument and hoisted it over his shoulder once he was up, then used it as a makeshift back-scratcher as he walked off.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF MY CHARACTER Medium build, 6'1" and a lean 159lbs. He sports light skin (that's more prone to tanning but he can still get sunburns if he's not careful), chestnut brown hair that he keeps short and only haphazardly styled, and light, hazel-brown eyes.
