Rob snickered at the joke as she shifted beneath his fingers. He had the same playful visual as Aitana did, her slipping a bill into his waistband. That would be some entertainment right there. It was a pity she was in such bad shape or he'd have given her a preview.
Finally he was done patching her up, and he moved to help her sit up as she slung an arm around his shoulders and eased up off her stomach, careful to avoid touching her back. "Easy does it, love," he cautioned. "You're a bit of a mess. And probably a bit loopy if you haven't eaten in awhile." It was important to get food into her, to keep her strength up (though being as athletic as she was, she was probably resilient as hell) and to have cushion in her belly for the pain meds he was planning on making her take once she'd eaten.
He sat with her for a moment on the bed, happy to feel her next to him. Then he stood and brushed his hand over her forehead before planting a kiss there. "You just wait right here. I'll bring your food out to you." He headed for the kitchenette as he continued. "You haven't had curry in a while? You're going to love this then. It's from my favorite curry place in town." Puttering with the food container, he dished out some onto a plate and popped it into the small microwave on the counter. "It's chicken tikka masala. Quite good actually."
Setting the timer, he reappeared in the opening between the kitchen and the living area, a happy grin on his face. "I hope you like it." He was pretty hungry too.

Truly two peas in a pod. Maybe it was better that her first experience of his busking was tucked away in her apartement as opposed to out on a public street corner.
"Yes, yes." She rolled her eyes as he fretted over her, nonetheless staying on the bed like he requested, though she did shift to sit cross legged after a moment, trying to find a comfortable position. Not being able to lean against or lay on her back was going to become obnoxious quick, stripping from her many options of entertainment. But she would worry about that later on, her attention firmly on trying to watch Rob as he disappeared into the kitchenette.
"I have had curry before, but not for a while." Which was strange really, because she quite liked rice. And spices. Perhaps it was simply because she tended to grab food that was easily portable and eaten while walking when she ate out.
She didn't recognize the name, but that wasn't super surprising. But the smell was quick to reach her and remind her of just how hungry she was. "I do not know if I have had that kind before. But if it tastes as good as it smells I am sure it will be amazing."
"There is things for drinking in fridge too." She piped up as an afterthought. An inspection of the fridge would find milk, gatorade, water bottles, a couple kinds of juices, and a six pack of beer (bought of course in preparation of inviting him over at some point) amid actual food - whoops. He was a smart guy though, he'd probably figured out long before that she hadn't actually been calling for food, even if she appreciated the hell out of the fact that he actually brought it.
The microwave went off, and Rob retreated back into the kitchenette to fetch food. First, though, he stopped at the fridge and pulled out a bottle of Gatorade. If Aitana hadn't eaten anything, it was likely she hadn't drank anything either, and getting some electrolytes into her system wouldn't hurt. He extracted the plate from the microwave and re-entered the living area with food and drink. "Here you go. Eat up and enjoy." He handed it to her with a smile, then headed back into the kitchenette to prepare his own plate.
While he puttered, he thought. He actually enjoyed taking care of Aitana; it felt kind of homey and warm and familiar. With a soft snicker, he shook his head. He'd make someone a great housewife someday, he was sure. He found he didn't mind the idea very much, though. It meant he could work on his own stuff during the day and frolic all night. And it was the frolicking he would look forward to most. Especially if the frolickee was Aitana.
When his food was ready, he grabbed it and a beer and returned to the living area to sit down on the bed next to her and eat. "Good stuff, yeah?" he asked around a mouthful of curry and rice.

The characteristically strong smell of the indian food was taunting for the already hungry Brazilian, but luckily she didn't have to wait too terribly long. Settling the plate in her lap she took an explorative bite first, slow and thoughtful. Taking a moment to really experience it. The warmth, the burst of flavor, the tingle of spices on her tongue - she had in fact never had this particular kind of curry. But she decided with a soft hum that she did indeed like it, beginning to inhale it in a mixture of enjoyment and plain old hunger. It wasn't until almost half of her plate was finished that she paused finally for a drink and to wait for Rob to return with his own food, obviously perking a bit when he did.
"Is very good." She agreed with a vigorous nod, until she realized how much that hurt her sore throat. Making a face of displeasure she tempered her enthusiasm just a bit, popping a fork full of food into her mouth again. "Is much more flavor then what I usually make." Aitana however tended to simply cook and eat for the sake of eating - caught in the habit of eating many boring carbs and proteins like she had when she was training for sports.
It did not take long for her to finish off her plate and her drink, a contented look on her face. Stomach full, the ache of her back slightly dulled by the ointment and soft pressure of the bandages, and good company. Uncrossing her legs, she shifted and scooted until she could rest her arm against his arm and her cheek against his shoulder. His skin felt cool and nice compared to hers given the slight fever. Yawning she mused thoughtfully. "How long do you think until we can patrol again?"
It was her version of 'are we there yet' and Rob would very quickly (likely within just a day or two) find himself drowning in the broken record of her impatience.

Oh my gosh what have you done, I can't even... XD
All I can see is husbando Aitana coming home from work each night to waifu Rob in an apron. And it's the most hilarious and wonderful thing ever. I've been dying all night since I read your reply on my phone like 4 hours ago.
Rob continued to eat as Aitana leaned against him. He liked this feeling a lot, her leaning on him. "Soon, love," he reassured. "But you gotta heal up first. Those are some nasty gashes on your back. We don't want them to become infected." He was a bit concerned that they already had, given how warm her cheek felt against his shoulder, but he'd cleaned them out as best he could and poured a ton of peroxide and antibiotic ointment in them, so they should start healing.
As long as she didn't overdo it. That was asking a lot of her, he thought. She was so active and enthusiastic about taking out Negaverse agents and youma -- clearly, given her inquiry about when they could go out patrolling again -- that it was going to be hard for her to keep still and heal. But if there was any way he could help, he'd do it.
Turning his head, he gave her braided hair a small kiss. "I'm glad you liked the curry. Given the way you scarfed it down, I should have brought more," he laughed lightly. "I can bring more round tomorrow, if you like, when I come back to serenade you and change your bandages."
He popped open his beer and took a swig. "How are you feeling otherwise?"

She frowned a little as he mentioned the extent of her injury her mind going back to the Captain she'd been tussling with. There was a sickening satisfaction at the fact she'd killed the youma by picking it up and hitting Umber with it - at least she'd gotten the monster back for what it'd done to her. But blinded by blood and the youma dust the strategic agent had thrown in her eyes she wasn't entirely certain how badly she'd hurt him. And the possibility that she hadn't trashed her opponent while she was certainly about to be cooped up for days pissed her off incredibly.
Her rage was quelled though by a kiss to the head and a soft laugh. And she gave a laugh of her own, her arm looping around his. "I would not mind more tomorrow."
The fingers on her other hand slowly began to creep along his forearm, her head turning just enough for her lips to take the place her cheek had just been. Answering with a soft hum, she trailed flirty kisses up his arm. "I hurt some... and I am hot... and tired." A soft sigh accompanied the last word, uncertain how she could possibly be tired after having just woken up from sleeping for so long.
"Are you going to make me feel better?" She teased playfully, even though she was almost certain she was going to be denied. That was alright though, just hanging out with him was almost as fun.
A little thrill coursed through Rob's body as Aitana kissed him along his shoulder and arm. "Wish I could," he sighed, "wish I could. But you're in no shape for that kind of medicine, love. Not with those scratches on your back." Setting his now-empty plate down on the bed, he stroked her hair. "I don't want you to undo all my hard work patching you up. Maybe in a few days. We'll see how quickly you heal." He had a feeling she was a pretty fast healer, given her fitness and athleticism. But he still didn't want her to overdo things.
He beamed happily at her request for more curry. "Alright, I'll bring more of the same round tomorrow." He could eat curry every day, for every meal, for forever. Even if it was just chicken tikka masala. It tasted even better when it was shared with her.
"You're hurt, pretty bad. I'm not surprised you're tired." He kissed her on the head again. "You're likely running a fever too. Maybe you should get some more rest. Oh wait, I was going to put some pain medicine in you." Gently he disentangled himself from her and went to the bathroom; rummaging around in the cabinet, he found some ibuprofen and, stopping in the kitchen for some more gatorade he returned to the bed. "Here, take some of this. It will help you feel better."

"Rain check." She snickered as he responded responsibly like she had expected he would. It was true he'd put a lot of effort into bandaging her up and she actually felt a small responsibility in trying not to destroy the job he'd done. Not to mention she had little interest in having to repeat the rather long process they'd gone through earlier while he tried to work with what he had.
His suggestion that sleep was probably good for her was met with a grumpy expression, though with all the little kisses and touches and careful coddling he'd been showering her with it was hard to really mean it and it softened after a moment with a simple annoyed sigh. "I guess sleeping passes time pretty fast at least."
When he left she shifted, very slowly raising her arms above her head to stretch tentatively to avoid both pain and the popping of the bandages. Resisting the urge to lean backwards and try and stretch her back as well, she looked up when he returned, accepting and taking the painkillers dutifully. It was too bad they didn't work as well as the magic she'd had used on her the night before. But nonetheless she was grateful. Settling her hands in her lap once more she offered him an appreciative smile. "Promise you will come back tomorrow?" She didn't really need to ask, she already knew the answer but Aitana asked nonetheless, wanting to hear the words before she'd think about laying back down again.

Did you want to end it when he eventually leaves or play out day two as well (since we've talked about a busking rp anyway)?
"Sleeping does pass the time pretty effectively. And it helps in the healing process. And the sooner you heal up, the sooner we can cash in that rain check and go back out on patrol." Rob secretly hoped that Aitana was drained enough from her injuries that the ibuprofen he'd given her would knock her right out. Again, though, because of her strong constitution, he rather doubted it. Her strong constitution and sheer stubbornness, a trait he could surely appreciate since he was a bit of a stubborn son of a b***h himself.
Leaning forward, he placed his hands on the bed on either side of her legs, and his lips met hers in a lingering kiss full of tenderness and promise. "I will come back tomorrow, I promise," he said softly as he broke the kiss off. "I'll bring curry and my guitar and I will serenade you while you rest and recover." He straightened back up again. "Promise me you'll rest?"

I think we can end it with him leaving and play out the day two busking as a separate rp -- does that work for you?

It was Aitana's turn for a longing sigh when his lips left hers and as he straightened her shoulders slumped a little tiredly. She didn't want to wait for anything - not to get better, not to get out on the streets again, and not to take complete advantage of her best friend. But she would, and the Brazilian smiled at him, defeated but still very much herself. "I will promise to try and rest."
As if to make her point she leaned a little, grabbing her pillow and beating on it a few times to fluff it up before tossing it back towards the head of the bed. After a moment longer lingering she followed after it as well, flopping back down onto her stomach, her half full gatorade bottle in tow as her eyes remained on him the best she could.
Who knew if she'd be able to fall asleep anytime soon but she'd try her damndest. The sooner she could fall asleep the sooner it would be tomorrow.

Don't mind me, derping on things like 'growth reqs'. >w< Of course I'm cool with making it two rps - both for reqs and to avoid bulky 5 page long rps. XD heart *totally as excited for a Super Puck as I am for an Eternal Juno*
Moving to the head of the bed, Rob knelt and touched Aitana's shoulder. "You get some rest now," he ordered with a small smile. "I'll leave you to it. I'll be back tomorrow, though. Promise." He'd tidy up the place tomorrow as well. For now he wanted her to sleep.
With a kiss to the top of her head, he stood and moved away from the bed. He didn't turn until there was no way for her to twist and watch him leave; besides, he didn't want to take his eyes off of her. The bandages on her back were a grim reminder of just how close he came to losing his friend. He was glad he'd been able to help. The rest now was up to her capacity for healing. He would of course continue to help -- that's what people who liked other people did.
Making a mental note to stop by the drugstore for more antibiotic ointment and some gauze and medical tape, he finally turned and quietly left through the door of the small apartment. He'd see her tomorrow. He couldn't wait.

Hee, okay awesome XD heart I am totally excited for both Super Puck and Eternal Juno too!
One more post and we can wrap this then?

"Doctor's orders." She mumbled playfully in return to his words, shifting to try and get comfortable. Though she wasn't entirely thrilled about them they sounded far better (and easier to abide by) coming from Rob then they would have coming from an actual doctor.
The creak of the door prompted one last call of "See you tomorrow," before she settled in to try and sleep. Sleep wouldn't come right away, which left Aitana with one of her least favorite past times - thinking. She could suffer through it though for a day, the Brazilian just had to remind herself like she'd been sure to remind him that she was plenty tough and could handle anything.
When she finally fell asleep it was plagued at first by nightmares, an after effect of her thoughts, the fever, and the pain that ached with each subtle shift and movement in her sleep. But eventually that faded away too to a long and more peaceful rest as the sun sank below the horizon.

Seems like a good wrap to me heart
I can start the next one unless you'd prefer to/beat me to it. smile
