The laughter was met with a pleased grin and as Aitana slid into her personal space Sid's eyes widened and brightened, her lips pulling wider at the little flutter of excitement it gave her.
"I love sharing." She managed as she tried to recapture her flirty, confident self. It was hard, with the other woman so close and so very tall and... stacked. Unf. Not fair... She was already involved with Rob, though, which put a little bit of complication on things. As much as she really, really wanted to; was it a lost cause, barking up this tree? She supposed she could always just try and see... at worst, Aitana would ignore her overtures and that would be that, but there was so much promise in the tight body that moved so close to hers, and so much want to just slide her hands across her hips...
"Oh! Um, no, I don't know how to Samba." She said as she pulled her mind away from those thoughts and tilted her head back to grin upwards. She kept her touch a little more PG and ran fingers up Aitana's bicep instead, curling around her shoulder. "You can show me how, though. I'm a quick learner and it sounds like... fun."
Fun being a loose term. Better ones might be Hot. Exciting. Thrilling. All threaded through with that latin beat that rippled from her speakers and settled into her bones. It wasn't often she got to paddle around in this section of the musical sea, but she was liking it so far. It wasn't that different from the step music she liked so much, just a slightly different flavor. Maybe like the two of them, when you thought about it. Not so very different.

She didn't really have time to be disappointed at Sidney's lack of knowledge in the dance, not when, uttered almost on the same breath came a just as pleasing statement. Show me. That laugh was there again, barely audible deep in her throat, followed by a pleased nod as her hands settled on the smaller woman's hips.
Her hands were forceful but not overly rough as she tried to settle Sid's hip into the proper matching beat of her own. "Samba is all in the hips. And quick feet, feet follow the hips. Do not worry about arms right now."
Eyes peering downward she watched the DJ's body with soft interest, both to see if she was getting it, and because it was there to admire. She wasn't as curvy as Aitana generally preferred but that didn't make her any less lovely, just different. And they were so very close that on occasion when she shifted they'd touch ever so lightly. If Aitana wasn't careful she was going to forget it was a lesson.
After a few moments one of her hands released it's grip, though the fingers of her other hand still rested on hips that no longer needed guidance. Putting just enough distance between the two she motioned downwards to her feet to show Sidney the footwork she was using to create the particular gyration of her hips. "Back step. Shift. Slide." It was a quick motion, one long leg swinging backwards to place one foot a short distance behind the other. Her weight shifting to the front foot for a mere second before the back foot dragged up to meet it. And then it began all over again, the front foot now becoming the back one. It was quick, and something Aitana could do easily with her eyes closed and in fact she did, shutting them as her shoulders joined in with the beat.
It didn't particular matter if Sidney got a handle on the footwork, as long as their hips stayed similiarly enough in sync, and after a few moments the Brazilian abandoned the distance between them pulling closer again. The fingers resting on hips trailed slowly upwards hunting for waist instead hidden beneath that long shirt. Her free hand sought Sidney's hand, pushing it away from her own bicep and up above the other woman's head, both to secure her fingers in it and more easily enjoy watching the motion.
Finally, as the song was nearing an eventual end, both hands led Sidney in a sudden spin that ended with her dipped, waist and body weight held effortlessly in the crook of Aitana's elbow. She really was very tiny.

I'm so sorry if this is trash, I don't really dance myself soooo we're going off of google and creativity. XD
The laugh was a wonderful sound and Sidney's own grin widened in response, happy to have pleased the other woman. And, truthfully, happy to get a chance to have hands put on her in the name of 'teaching'.
Sid dropped her eyes, her lip caught between her teeth, to watch Aitana's hips move in a fluid and effortless way. After a bit, she mimicked the motion a few times till she was able to match it fairly well. She was, by no means, a professional dancer, but you got used to doing it when your life and career revolved around dance music. Her t-shirt swished loosely around her hips as they moved together, falling into the rhythm.
There was a soft disappointment when Aitana pushed them apart, but Sid obediently looked to her feet to catch their movements, leaving the tantalizing view of moving hips. The feet weren't too hard to follow and she got the hang of it after fumbling it a couple of times. It took another mental leap to keep the hips in sync, but if she stopped trying to think about it too hard, the motions did sort of flow when Aitana pulled them together again.
The short woman let her mind sink into the music and the dancing, enjoying the hands that held her and guided her motions. Dancing was fun, as was connecting with your partner. It was one of the reasons people got so into it, she figured, because it was a way to interact with another person that didn't need words and called to more primitive instincts. She got so caught up in it she was startled by the sudden change in motion and squeaked as she was dipped, throwing her unclaimed arm around Aitana's neck. She broke out in laughter as she found herself supported by a strong arm and realized what had happened.
"Ah, wow!" She chuckled as she relaxed, letting herself be supported. Pink eyes shone with mirth and she enjoyed the excuse to keep an arm around the other woman. "You're really good at that. I bet you get all the girls when you go to the club... Maybe you should come to mine one night."

The dance had been genuinely fun, her chest lifting and falling with slightly greater frequency thanks to the little bit of exertion behind the quick movements. And as Sidney squeaked (a delightfully appropriate noise for someone so tiny) and clung to her Aitana could only grin.
She lingered for far longer then she needed to in the slight lean, with the weight of the other woman still held in the dipped motion. Only finally righting both of their bodies after the rainbow-kissed woman mentioned her club. "Maybe sometime. Could be fun." It'd been awhile since she'd been a club and she'd almost forgotten how much dancing with an actual partner could be. She'd probably have to lead, there were not many that were tall enough or bold enough to let the boisterous amazon play the part of the girl - but maybe she'd be pleasantly surprised. And even if not leading was fun enough.
Eyes gazing back towards the computer her expression turned thoughtful, her musical ignorance quite apparent. "You play instruments like Rob...?"
Sidney laughed as she was righted, the sound a little breathless and bright. Dancing was fun. Dancing with a lovely partner was even more fun.
"Ah, yes! I do, but not as many as he does. And it depends on what you consider an instrument, I suppose." She said as she tugged her shirt down her hips from where it had ridden up. She shuffled back to her chair and flopped down on it, grabbing the table to pull the rolling chair closer. Tucking a leg up under her, she waved fingers at a pad full of buttons and the laptop it was connected to.
"This is a midi keyboard, which I use to control the sounds I put into my music. I can program which key does which sound and then play them to record a song, or even while I'm performing at a club." A couple of clicks brought up her music program on the screen and when Sidney hit one of the keys, an quick tempo drum beat began to play. As it played, another key stroke set off an industrial wooshing sound, like dragging something across a cymbal. Hitting the first button again faded out the drums and then the cymbal in turn, and Sidney offered a smile over her shoulder.
"I really like this sort of music because there are so many noises you wouldn't think could be musical that you can turn into music... But I suppose you wouldn't really consider that a traditional sort of instrument. I do play the piano though. It was something I was big into back in grade school." Sliding the rolling chair over put her in front of the full sized keyboard she had set out. Sid ran her fingers lovingly over the white and black keys before she turned it on, the little lights in the top corner and the screen coming to life. "I used to do a lot of classical, back when I started. I've branched out a lot, but man, I still have all those old songs memorized."
The small woman smiled as her fingers settled automatically into the start position and she ran through a scale with a light tough, the piano notes rippling out of the speakers.

Aitana quite enjoyed seeing and experiencing new things, so there was a genuine interest on her face as she shifted closer to view what Sidney was doing as she flopped back into her chair. The midi keyboard was looked at skeptically for a moment, technological witchcraft but as the DJ did her thing the Brazilian's expression brightened with amusement.
There was perhaps a little fun lost in the 'playing'. Watching Sidney hit buttons between the machine and computer was not nearly as exciting as watching Rob's fingers travel up a guitar and pound in a flurry on the drums. But the delivery made up for the lack of visual excitement. The sheer number and variety of noises. She nodded in approval, her arms once more crossing to rest comfortably on her chest.
Shifting to follow the other woman's movements towards her keyboard, Aitana leaned mildly against a sturdy piece of furniture, watching the more traditional show. Equally impressed with the quick motion of her fingers, and the delicate notes of the piano, she grinned. "You are both talented in these things. Did you learn as children together? Or just both pick up by ahh... chance?"
"I can play no music myself." She shared matter of factly. "I have always done gymnastics or sports instead."
Sid smiled and it was the soft, inward sort of smile of someone remembering. Her fingers settled on to the keys, arched expertly, and she began to play. The notes rippled from the keyboard like water, her fingers quick, delicate and effortless. Her smile widened, a low chuckle slipping free.
"My mother started me on piano lessons when I was little and we lived in London. But when my parents died, I was sent to live with my aunt and her husband here in the states." The music ran under her words, easy and light. She didn't seem terribly upset over the news she delivered, her tone as light and matter of fact as ever. "I'm kinda small for sports, but it didn't really matter because they never would have wasted money on anything they didn't absolutely have to when I was in school. Even lunch money was touch and go sometimes. Naw... I got myself a little keyboard with some money I earned doing errands for a friend and I taught myself how to play from Internet videos. Once I got into highschool, the band teacher took pity on me and gave me free lessons during lunch break and after school."
The music swelled and tapered off, the thin body at the keyboard gently swaying as her hands moved. "I got into the electronic stuff when I was like... 16 or 17. About the time I met Ice and ran away from home to live with him. It's been a headlong rush ever since."
Sid laughed as she ran the song through to the end, her fingers slipping off keys to leave the notes to ring and fade off. "Rob is more of the wonder child, having so many he can play. I just like composing, and the piano. Gymnastics sounds fun though. That's probably something I could have done with my shortness and lack of endowments. She chuckled as she plucked at her shirt in teasing explanation, settling back into her chair to tug her blanket up around her hips.

The sound of the piano was as beautiful as the fluid motion of Sidney's hands over the keys. Delicate and light, seeming to dance without any hesitation or uncertainty. It was an entirely pleasant sensory experience and if it were for the sad story that sounded Aitana might have found herself lost in it.
Aitana knew something about not having much money, though she'd never been as hard up as Sidney had apparently been. Though they never had excess and extra both of her parents had worked to make sure they always had just enough. Her parents... Though Aitana didn't talk to them often Sidney's words made her think perhaps she should pick up the phone sometime soon. Sometimes you took things for granted without even realizing it.
Aitana wasn't exactly the best when it came to comforting someone, which made it pretty lucky that Sidney hadn't sounded particularly upset over the sad information she'd presented. There was little more than an apologetic frown on the Brazilian's face as Sidney bared her soul so freely, mentioning the hardships she'd been through in her lifetime. Aitana had had her own of course, but they were.. stranger.. More magically related. Silently Aitana thought that Sidney had had it a little worse, which made it all the more admirable that the tiny woman had pressed through all of it.
It seemed like the two had another thing in common. Nowhere to go back to, with forward the only direction left for them.
"Is a very small world I guess." She mused thoughtfully, a hand running mildly through long her braids. That both had ended up in the music profession. That they'd both ended up in the states after originally coming from overseas. But then.. Destiny City seemed to be made just for those kinds of coincidences.
When the conversation shifted once more to something she was a bit more comfortable with, she scoffed a little in amusement at the joke. "Gymnastics are fun, and is helpful for stuff like my job. I am not afraid to walk across the beams or work on the roofs like some of my coworkers."
"Plus of course being able to reach into small places." She added before stretching her arms up above her mildly. "Being flexible all around is good skill to have really." Maybe she would go for a run or something on the way home, speaking about activity had spurred a mild interest in her to stretch her legs.
Whimsical Blue
I'm sorry, she's not very helpful to the conversation >w< I can shove her towards leaving in a couple posts if you like/they run out of things to talk about.
Sidney watched the green haired lovely stretch in front of her, unable to resist a long, sweeping look. Flexible was a lovely word... it called up all sorts of mental pictures, especially when coupled with a phrase like 'able to reach into small places'.
Ugh, the innuendos are gonna kill me. If only, if only...
"So, gymnastics and sports were what you used to do." Sid said as she pressed a foot to the floor, gently swinging her chair back and forth. "What do you like to do now? For fun. Or is all just work and no play on those high-rises you work on?"
Rocking forward, Sid pushed herself to her feet and grabbed the beer she had brought down with her. Another swallow finished it off and she shook the bottle, making a little face.
"Do you want another?" She said as she lifted the bottle to wave at the other woman. "You didn't eat your lunch either... are you hungry? I should probably find something to eat too."

She wasn't the quickest wit in the world. Her lack of interest in fully mastering the English language certainly didn't help with it either. But on occasion she caught things through all her obliviousness, and as Sidney's innocent enough question sounded a grin stretched wide across her face.
"Rob." She answered matter of factly, looking for a brief moment, as if she thought she was the most clever thing that ever walked the earth. It was true really - Rob technically was what she liked to do for fun. After a moment's pause her grin erupted into a warm snickering as she shifted, shrugging her shoulders mildly, thinking aloud. "For fun I sometimes hang out with Rob and do whatever. Other times I like to walk or run around the city. You can always find new and exciting things to see."
"I have seen ahhh..." She paused, nose scrunching a little before she gave up on finding the words she was looking for. "People who are even more flexible than me, that can fold their bodies like pretzels. And people who travel through the city by jumping on everything." Her fingers began to walk across her arm, seeming to act out her words. "From bench, to car, to balcony, all the way up to roofs."
"Ahhh, and one time there was a woman who showed me how to rollerblade. She was part of.. derby?" It was too bad she was so flippant about her connections and had never followed up with any of them, each skill one that seemed fun and like something she'd enjoy learning to do better. Realizing she was being a little long winded, Aitana laughed mildly before giving another shrug. "I like to try new things. Is fun and exciting to do something new."
She had almost forgotten about her drink after they'd descended the stairs, so when Sidney mentioned the Brazilian glanced down at the bottle. It was still a third of the way full, but in one smooth motion she tipped it back, finishing off the rest of it before agreeing to the offer. "One more will not hurt." Considering her abysmal alcohol tolerance, in comparison to Rob at least, food wasn't a bad idea either. Unless Sidney wanted to entertain a giggly and overly boisterous Amazon.
"We can eat food upstairs and if Rob is not back when we are done then I will head out. Let you get back to doing things?" She offered.
She couldn't help it. Sid caught Aitana's comment and broke out into bright, amused laughter.
"Isn't that the truth." She laughed as she shoved her chair in, shaking her head till her hair danced down around her face. "I'm glad you have fun with him though. Rob is a good guy, he really is. He's gold, even if he likes to pretend like he's not."
Sid turned back to watch the tall woman down the last of her drink and then she padded closer, sliding her arm through the other's to hold her elbow.
"Come on, lets get you another drink and that lunch you brought." She said as she drew her towards the door, her smile bright. "I wouldn't be doing anything but being bored before I got ready for work, so I really did enjoy having you drop in unexpectedly. Surprises are nice! I like surprises. And you're a friend of Rob's, so you are always welcome to drop in, whether he's here or not."
Sid dropped her arm when she reached the stairs, stepping up onto them and climbing a few backwards, her hands on the rails. Her smile turned coy as she went, her head tilted playfully.
"And you know, if you ever wanna 'do something new'..." She hummed, grinning. "I'm something new."
She winked as she laughed, turning to trot up the stairs ahead of her pleasant, temporary guest.

Her 'cleverness' elicited a bright round of laughter from Sidney, a noise that only seemed to widen Aitana's grin and bolster her own confidence and amusement. As the rainbow haired young woman spoke words of praise about her roommate Aitana could only agree with a set of silent nods, the crook of her arm giving Sidney's a mild squeeze as their arms looped together.
She hadn't really come expecting to make a friend, nor had she ever really thought of trying to strike up anything with her friend's roommate, but fate worked in funny ways sometimes. Maybe it wasn't such a disappointment that Rob hadn't been there to answer the door that afternoon.
As Sidney's arm slipped from her own and the smaller woman hurried ahead to take the stairs first, backwards, Aitana's tanned fingers found the railing. And as Sidney's coy smile and playful offer sounded Aitana's brow quirked, smirk tightening across her lips. It was a tempting offer that had the Brazilian wondering thoughtfully about the bit of metal she'd felt through the thin fabric of Sidney's shirt as they danced. Exciting new experiences indeed.
"I will keep in mind." She mused in response, sincerely, as she followed her host up the stairs.
Unfortunately not today however, Sidney's own words playing against her in this situation as Aitana wondered how Rob might feel about the whole thing. As cute as Sidney was, and as interested as Aitana might been to explore those piercings she cared enough for Rob to wonder how he might feel about it. Whether or not he was protective of his roommate. What was the saying her guy friends back in highschool used to joke about...? Bros before hos?
Regardless, she'd have to thank Sidney for the entertaining afternoon and maybe even take her up on the offer of doing it again sometime.
