I like the hungry hound myself, to be honest.

So if im reading this right, there are humans, goddesses and creatures of the land / sea / sky? The stuff thats here is not what im attuned to, so do as you wish and ill follow along as best as possible. My knowIedge of pirate stories are weak at best. I didnt realize things were this far along.I too would like to make the universe our own, but we should take cues from where Kurai did things right. It was one the more expansive RP. Universes around here.

Viper and I were talking about it, and we have an idea I think everyone can agree with.
Check this out:
The universe will be ours and we will need to do some world-building (or I could do it, if you'd rather it be faster), so it will be formatted like Kurai's RP and Viper's Springfog.
For a general backstory, the Goddess (who we were thinking of calling Seridia as an homage) has actually sent visions out to many brave seafarers: she wants them to goforth and collect artifacts that are a "part" of her and return them. (For example, Seridia's Eye would be an orb that grants the holder the ability to see future events, Seridia's Hand would be a gauntlet that gives the wearer increased physical strength, etc.) So, there would be races of all kinds, and many ships/crews so everyone can incorporate their own ideas!

Well, its not beyond the initial scope at all.
At least, not as far as when I approached Viper wanting to do a pirate-themed RP in the guild; I rather enjoy vast RPs with a multitude of players. I can't speak to everyone's individual conversations on the topic, but I never specified that it was to be just us four. Viper did that because apparently the two of you had shown similar interests in the past, and I guess she made this thread so the four of us could discuss it and bounce ideas around.

I intended this to be a world building thread first hand and then we can adapt it to RP in or just create another thread for the RP itself. I have no problem with other people joining but I didn't want to bog things down either by adding people who would post one or twice and then disappear hence why I quoted you three in the opening post as some of our more active members who showed an interest in a pirate RP.

But back onto topic of the RP at hand. I like Shade's idea of three gods (land/sea/sky) and of course MM's idea of the sea Goddess being calling Seridia as an homage

God/goddess of Land = (to be named)
Goddess of Sea = Seridia
God/goddess of Sky = (to be named)

We could make a god of land and Goddess of the sea lovers due to their closeness to each other and the Sky god/goddess could be their son/daughter.

You don't have to be a sea creature Fallen, that's just the pattern we all fell into. Last I heard from MM, hes plotting a croc/octopus hybrid for character so an anglerfish would be fine if you want.

As Mizzen and Bonaven have BG together, would we want to start off the RP on two different ships? Me and Shade on one, MM and Fallen on another. And then we all shipwreck onto island we'll have most important roles covered (first mate, captain, chef and Fallen's selected role). Fallen by that description and according to; ( http://historicnavalfiction.com/general-hnf-info/naval-facts/ranks-duties ) I believe that would make your character Quartermaster or Master-at-arms.

I have been saying there should be multiple deities for land and sea the whole time, though I thought we were going with them being Sisters who are always in a power struggle for control of the world; or wants it covered in the seas, one wants it completely land-locked. It could however be interesting to have a deity for the sky, like their benevolent Father perhaps. That way, both Goddesses could be somewhat mischievous, and we still get the whole title makin sense because of multiple Goddesses thing going on!

I am fond of having multiple ships as well, which will be easier once we open this up to everyone else! Until then, we could easily just begin the story with our ship at port where we could come across Fallen's non-hybrid character somehow.
Just have the backstory stuff be divulged in the initial post that everyone reads before making a character.

I was thinking about names for the ship.
I'm not really into anything too sentimental or punny; I want the ship to have a name that people all over can really fear! Like "Maelstrom," or something.
I dunno.
