User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Mytrax thought on the question carefully and seriously. She'd always had to curtail her spending habits, even while she was still living in the Scepters, so this wasn't too difficult a task. She wrote down her answers neatly and submitted it to the professor.

What makes me want to buy something depends on what I need at that moment. If I require sustenance, or entertainment, or something educational, or even something meant as a hobby. From there, it's a matter of balancing between substance and style.

However, what makes me
actually buy something involves: Notoriety, Quality, and Importance. I very rarely indulge in impulse buying and I very rarely act on my spontaneous urges to splurge on myself.

Taegan stared at their paper as they tried to figure out what it was that made them buy things. Their spending habits tended toward books and the like, things they could learn from. Finally, they leaned forward and began to write in their neat scrawl.

Educational value. If it's something I'd like to learn about, then I will likely purchase it. Also the obvious things I might require such as clothing, food, etc. Those purchases are usually based on what I need and how cheaply I can get it. Sometimes with edible purchases I can be a little impulsive, buying snacks or sugary treats.

Mostly if it catches my eye, I will think about buying it. There isn't really a definite thing I could say that makes me buy things I don't need.

Seray thought for a bit on the proper response to the question that was asked of him. He rarely bought anything and was thinking hard to the last thing he bought. "I buy simply out of necessity, if I am not one hundred percent sure that I needed it I will most likely not buy it. Unless it is necessary for my survival, such as food or clothing; or necessary for my education such as school fees and text books I will almost surely not buy it. However I suppose prices also have an impact on specifically which brand of something I buy, I am not well off and have very little money to my name, therefore I also tend to try to find the cheapest things that I could possibly find." He felt that was a sufficient answer.

Jericho had decided to take this class because he thought it might be useful for him to know this sort of stuff... but all they were talking about was advertising. Was that even useful...? Well, he supposed it might be. The question confused him - he'd never really bought anything before. It had all be done for him in the past...

But, well, he supposed he'd wanted to buy things.

"H--high quality... um... If, if it looks like it's going to la-last then that's a big factor... for me..." Oh Nine, he hoped that was a decent answer.

Citali quietly took her seat in this class, and while she sat there she wondered why in the world she was taking this particular class. Then she remembered, she had been so caught up in reading her books, that she had forgotten about registration and was one of the last few to register, so it left little available in line of electives to take. So here she was, and now she had to write about what made her buy stuff?

There isn't a lot that makes me want to buy it. I'll buy it if it's a necessity, or if it's a book. With books though it has to sound interesting, and by that, I mean the summary on the back cover has to catch my attention. Sometimes too, the cover of the book has to look good too, be eyecatching, but I focus mainly on the content of the book, not what the cover looks like. If the content is good, I"ll buy it.

A good logo is one that catches your attention and sticks in your mind. It makes you think and has multiple levels to it. Memorable is the key aspect. Like sometimes a logo is the company’s name, but there are hidden pictures within the letters. Sometimes it even incorporates what the company is all about, like a coffee shop. A bad logo is simple, easily forgotten or even one that can be misinterpreted.

With that, Kuchena sat her essay on the teacher’s desk and went back to her desk. That wasn’t too terrible.

There are a lot of common mistakes you can make when crafting a logo. For starters, having an amateur make you a logo is the number one way to have your logo look tacky, and something as simple as using the wrong font can make your logo look like trash. You want your logo to be professional. Usually, less is more. Using raster images is also a rather awful idea. Because you will need to be able to scale your logo up and down in many sizes without image distortion you should ALWAYS use a vector image. Vector images can be stretched or shrunk down without losing any important details and will print crisply and cleanly. DO NOT use stock art. This is a big no-no in the marketing world. Even if you pay for the stock image it's far better to use or create original images that you've commissioned from a processional designer. Designing for yourself instead of your client is always a big no-no. You should never, ever, EVER rely on colour to achieve the affect you're looking for. It needs to be powerful in black and white too. Using too many fonts can also be a distraction and is ill-advised. And for Pete's Sake, don't just copy other people ...

Follow these tips and tricks and you'll have a good logo on your hands!

Castus didn't need to tell anyone that someone he knew outside of the Academy wrote this for him. Castus wrote it out in his own hand-writing and nobody would be any wiser.

He submitted the project and waited to hear back on his results.

If there was one thing that Tricia at least felt comfortable with, it was what was visually attractive and eye catching. She pulled out her notebook and purple pen, and began scrawling her thoughts on the page.

A good logo is something that reflects what you are trying to sell. If you are trying to sell style, use fonts and imagery that are eye catching and work well together. You have to know what your target audience finds attractive and appeal to that. Def don't use images and words that are confusing or not readable. Nothing is more embarrassing than having what you meant misconstrued. Always, always try to be original. You def don't want your logo to be easily confused with someone else's.

Well... it wasn't great, but she at least felt mostly confident in it. Trish got up and turned her paper into her teacher.

Samara propped her chin in her hand, feeling a little bored. She'd joined the class in the hopes that it might help her catch up a little. Living in a single village all her life, that's what most of her knowledge pertained to. It wasn't a small village or anything, and it was near a decent-sized town, but apparently that hadn't been enough to prevent a lack of diverse knowledge in other cultures. And she had learned a little so far, but mostly she was bored. Oh well, it was useful knowledge, if not fun.

"A good name depends on who you're trying to attract as a customer. You have to figure out might appeal to them. If the name sounds like your store only sells things for babies or grannies, you won't get many teens or young adults. The name is like an auditory appeal, so when you make a logo you have to make sure your visual appeal matches the auditory appeal, but also that it doesn't cause confusion. Like if you ran a photography shop and you named it something like Image Cafe and had a picture of cake as a logo or something. People might think you're a food place, not a photography place."

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Charmstar had mull the question over for some time. There was a lot of stuff for him to consider now that he thought about it. "I think it depends on what you're trying to sell. Sometimes stuff like clothes or things for fashion can just use your name. But when you're selling services or other products like food the brand has to say what you're selling but it has to stand out at the same time. It can't be too generic 'cuz you'll get forgotten easy but if it's too complicated or weird, it'll be hard to remember. And it shouldn't sound too much like an existing brand 'cuz people will say you're just ripping off the other company."

User ImageHe wasn’t sure why he was taking trade of all things as his second elective but considering he wanted to own his own sort of business in the future it made sense. Of course the question asked was a bit of a doozy. Is the customer always right? Well that was a bit of a loaded question. Frey nibbled on his pencil as he thought about the answer. There were so many different ways to answer. It was kind of a loaded question.

Is the customer always right? This is a bit of a loaded question. The customer is not always right. You might know more about the service they are trying to provide so they don’t understand what they are trying to ask for. Their design aesthetics might be messed up and what they are asking for is just absolutely pathetic. However as a business owner, the customer is your life blood. Without the customer you don’t have business and thus you aren’t bringing in income. Thus you want them to leave feeling satisfied that things went well and they were treated right during their time in your care. So while you might not agree with the customer, a business should treat the customer like they are right… within reason. Since one hand, they are paying you with their hard earned money for you to provide them with a service. However there are also limits to this. The customer shouldn’t not have free reign to sit there and spew negativity and harmful words. They should not have the right to bring down and insult you. They should have to maintain a respectful manner around you the business person, but you should always treat them with respect and dignity. It’s a very careful balance. Thus truly the question and its answer really depends on the outcome you are presented with.

hmmm there that should be good enough right. He was a bit worried because he went all over the place with his answer, but it really wasn't an easy question. With a deep breath he went up to turn in the assignment.

Shinobu shook his head, he didn't like that policy. Time to write a response.

'The customer isn't always right, but since this is a practice in respecting your customers, they have to be right all the time. It's a stupid practice in my opinion, because as a sales associate can't speak against a customer to correct them, even if it's done politely. Then it falls on the manager to handle the disgruntled customer and they will give the customer the same response most of the time. And it could potentially anger the customer further and lose their business. It's a double edged sword, either way the employee will be demonized even if they're only trying to help. A better policy should be made but there's no guarantee it'll be better than "the customer is always right". In fact, it could end up being worse.'

He put his pencil down and stood to turn in his paper.
