Which version of the senshi phone he had, "I had no ********' idea, " and he whipped his phone out, the older model, which a deep set frown as he held it out in front of the cat. "I only got this one. S'the only one I ever got, an' I only just barely get how it works. This the latest one?"
It kind of didn't sound like the one he as holding, though. "If it ain't, how do I go 'bout gettin' the new one or the... pearl... thingie or whatever? Do I gotta pay to upgrade or somethin'?" and he made a disgruntled face, like that would totally figure really.
Senshi bullshit was forever endlessly complicated.

Liryn eyed the phone that was held out for him to view. "Nope that's the old model." Because he didn't need to look long to confirm that it was indeed the prior model - well at the very least an earlier model. "I can totally upgrade it for you though and I can run through all the functions too once I'm done. Alternatively if you'd prefer to keep your current phone then I can give you a Moon pearl."
He paused as one of Eurydike's questions finally sunk in "No, no payment needed but you'll need to let me have your current phone first if you want me to upgrade it."
Because he kind of needed it.

Of course it was the old model. ******** cats. He sighed, about two seconds away from cursing all cats into infinity as useless balls of fur, when Liryn just as simply as that offered to upgrade his phone. Seemingly, too, free of charge. His brow furrowed, lips pursing.
"What's the catch?" Surely there had to be one. Although it didn't really stop him from handing the device over. "How long's this usually take? A week or two?" He really had no idea how this work. Or why a cat could upgrade a phone. Or why cats were even in charge of dispersing phones to begin with because when he actually thought about it it seemed pretty damn silly.
"Don't steal my identity or nothin' now, " and that was more of a joke, probably. Identity theft from a cat. Hah. Almost as ridiculous as shooting lasers or upgrading phones.

"Hmm?" Liryn had been in the process of using his paws to prise open the back of the phone that Eurydike had handed over, but he looked up for a moment at the other's questions.
"There isn't a catch" there was a slight absent-minded note to his voice as he went back to fiddling with the back of Eurydike's soon to be former phone as he continued "And no it won't take as long as all that for me to do it."
It took a few moments of fiddling because paws were the most efficient for this, but Liryn persevered - because it wasn't as if it was the first phone that he had upgraded and eventually he was rewarded by a slight snick.
Which meant that it was time for the next part, although he continued until the back was off completely before backing away slightly from the phone and launching himself into a passable back flip.
It was followed by the sound of something clattering down and on landing Liryn wasted no time in padding over to to retrieve it.
The something turned out to be a second phone - albeit one that was different to the first and as with the first Liryn worked on prising up the back of it.
Caught up as he was in the phone upgrade the other's joke comment about identities had kind of gone over his head as he busied himself with working on the phones.
Eventually the back of the new phone was also off and with that done Liryn turned his attention back to the first phone and specifically to a small piece located inside as he worked at prising it up as delicately as he could before taking it over to the new phone and snapping it into place, before pushing the back of the phone back into place.
"Okay all done" he said before carefully picking up the new phone and padding over to lay it carefully at Eurydike's feet.frayedflower sorry for taking so long - meta ate me for the longest while
