Pompeii had followed up with a suggestion that they be on their way and Athene had started to nod in agreement knowing that she had a point - after all a Squire aura wasn't exactly subtle and an Eternal aura was even less so, however her query about them patrolling together had him pausing for a moment as he thought it over.
"I'd be happy to" he agreed at last. "After I was going to go back on patrol anyway and I'll be okay for magic as long as I don't have to use my eternal attack." Well that or his super level magic more than once given that he had learnt the hard way from the youma train incident just how tiring doing that was.
There was also the fact that it was dangerous to patrol alone even though Athene knew that he did it more than he really should.
He waited peaceably for the Saturn Squire to take a direction, happy enough to follow Pompeii's lead once she was ready to set off.
And perhaps later - much later - he would see if there was anywhere still open to pick up a hot drink...
Although that would be for a later time when he stopped being Athene for the night.
