Rat shrugged looking over at Brenton. " I don't know. Not sure if I could reach it even if you help me up." Rat was rather on the short side and even with Brenton holding him up he was unsure if his arms would reach far enough to grab the orb.

Rat paused for a moment thinking before nodding his head. " Okay it won't hurt to try!"

Brenton put Rat up on his shoulders then said "If you want to get higher carefully stand up on my shoulders"

Rat clutched to Brenton's shoulder's for a moment before slowly reaching out stretching his arms up to reach for the orb. Even sitting on Brenton's shoulder's he couldn't really reach it and wondered how funny he must have looked jumping for the thing from the ground. Wrinkling his nose he stretched as far as he could just once barely skimming the bottom of the orb with his fingertips. As far as he remembered in that instant the orb hadn't hurt but the shock of actually touching it caused Rat to squeak and jerk backwards.

Brenton stumbled back, doing his best not to fall and take Rat down with him.. "Are you ok??" He asked..

Rat clung to Brenton's shirt before nodding more to himself then the other boy. Licking his lips he spoke softly. " I touched it an scared myself I didn't think I'd actually reach it"

Brenton hugged Rat gently "Don't worry about it, you'll be ok. We can just look around and hang out, maybe visit the other islands and see how your other friends are doing??"

Rat leaned into the hug before sighing softly " We should search this island and try to find the lock and key on it I want to know whats going on here.. I want to not be confused any more"

Brenton smiled "Then that's what we'll do Rat, we'll hunt and find that key and lock and figure out your name and your past" Brenton said confidently

Rat nodded to Brenton then looked back over the island. "We should get started. I'm not sure where to look but maybe we should just walk around the island first get an idea of where everything is then we can search really well toward the inside?"

Rat frowned looking over the island. " Together for now? We can walk around and both keep and eye on our side of the path?" Heading back to the main section of the island Rat tilted his head trying to decide which way to go first. "Do you think we should go left or right first? I assume the path sorta circles around the island so its all the same"
