 Aloe smiled as she worked, her fey green thumb working for her, this is what she wanted to do with her life. Working with plants, Aloe created a cheery tomato and a full sized tomato hybrid. Her thought process was that it simplified the plant, so you could have one plant and two different sized tomatoes. It was then that Aloe noticed the handsome dryad having a bit of trouble with his work. Aloe blushed a darker shade of brown, wanting to offer to help him but to shy to ask.

Okay, the second attempt went a lot more smoothly than the first try. Skylar smiled, pleased by their success. Sure, it wasn't the greatest result, but they were still proud of themselves. Skylar stood before their classmates and presented their plants, chest puffed with pride as they answered questions others asked them. They couldn't wait for the next assignment so they could improve!

 Xochi was left in dismay. Both plants died. Really? Great. This was not the way to start a semester. Muttering, she carefully scraped the dead plants off and tossed them in the trash bin. She'd need to look over her notes and see where she went wrong and tweak her procedures. Hopefully, she wouldn't fail again.

Xochi poured over her notes, and found that the major error during the first attempt was a lack of discretion in placement. These little plants needed partial shade and she had set them without much consideration. Clicking her tongue, she made sure to set them in the proper lighting, and proceeded to watch and carefully graft both plants. What resulted was a perfect hybrid. Pride blossomed in the demons chest as she was able to write a report about the findings, methodology, and purpose this could serve in the future. She turned both plant and paper into her professor, a pleased smile gracing her normally sullen features. "Thank you for the lesson. I've learned a lot. I hope you find my report satisfactory."

Skylar took a few minutes to review their notes, hoping to not completely bomb the quiz. After about five minutes, they put the notes away and prepared to take the quiz. They just hoped they got a decent grade.

 zinnia began to read a bit of her notes going over only her highlighted notes before soon putting her book away, she felt confident in her skills as a botanist to be, but she didn't want to chance messing this up as she heard it was time to put her notes away she put them in her folder and began too take the test" you can do this". she thought to her self as she focused on the test reading each question quickly when she knew the answer at a glance she wrote it down then went back to read the ones she was unsure about more carefully. When she finally finished the test she took it up to the teacher and hoped she had passed.

 When finding out that all most all her answers were wrong, zinnia felt embarrassed. " This cant be right.... " She thought as she asked for a new paper as she went to check her notes. Oops they weren't the correct notes, she had her personal notes on hybrid flowers. she was utterly mortified she didn't take time to name her notes. but she wasn't going to let this stop her she would just have to retake the test, she knew she could do this , she had studied so often , plants were her life. Maybe she was just a bit distracted by the new addition to her room being a cute new rambunctious druid slime, it caused her to be so distracted that she accidentally grabbed her notes on hybrid flowers instead of the one for the test. she went back to her desk and began to retake it, this time she kept it to her self with the intention of double checking till she felt it would be right.
This time she felt more confident a she took it back up to the teacher and turned n her work she smiled feeling this time that she got everything, or at least the majority so she would be able to pass.

Raleka wasn't as prepared for this quiz as she might have liked. She used to spend long nights poring over her notes and doing outside research to get the highest possible grades, to learn all she could about botany, but since she'd adopted Annie it had become more difficult to focus on being a botanist over being a mom. When she received her test scores back, she was glad that she had passed with an A, but disappointed that it wasn't closer to a 100. I'll have to study harder next time, the hybrid told herself, shoving her paper into her folder.

 Estys knawed on the end of her pencil as Corben announced the pop quiz. A pop quiz! She got so nervous about tests. Nervously twitching her pencil, she slowly wrote her name on the paper and and intently reviewed her notes. She knew that she knew the material, but nothing seemed to stick... The fey wanted to tear our her hair. This wouldn't be good. No, no, no.. Getting the quiz, she read the questions and felt her mind blank out. What... The answers were at the tip of her tongue...yet... What was it...? Struggling, she filled out the quiz and started to approach the teacher to turn it, but she felt embarrassed about it. She knew she was better than this!

As she approached the teacher, she shook her head as she deliberated her answers. No, no. She can't turn this in! She wouldn't accept failure. She was better than this. The stress of the test was just getting to her. "I'm sorry, I know I got these wrong but... I know the answer. I swear. Just... Give me a minute," she said quietly to him before returning to her seat. Her face turned red, feeling awkward. It looked like she was one of the last ones still taking the quiz... Might as well take her time, though. R-right?

She could feel the teacher's eyes on her as she was the last one left. But she had debated on the quiz's questions and as she felt she was about to lose hope and give up, it suddenly clicked. D-duh! she thought as she quickly scribbled her answers down as fast as she could. Maybe they weren't one hundred percent right, but it would do. She was definitely a lot more confident about her answers now than she was ten minutes ago! Puffing her chest out proudly, she turned it into the teacher. Estys definitely felt she was better at the hands on stuff that they did in the labs versus the lectures.

As Zinnia came in to the class she took her seat and was more then ready to listen, Zinnias eyes glittered at the subject of animated plants. She loved things like fly traps, she found the subject amusing as she began to think on the positive and negatives of plants that could more or less act like nightmares and day dreams, doing things on there own, of course they would most likely evolve to eat meat but not before starting with insects. witch could causes some pretty nasty things as she began to take out her note book and take out a piece of paper . she lined up a few things on paper and created a divided section to began writing her thoughts, before long she wrote her final draft.

Animated plants are an interesting organism, I find that they could be beneficial to the world, but they will have there faults. with a living organism like such they will grow and evolve like we all do, having a set diet. with some it is possible that they may eat other plants, insects or smaller animals eventually graduating to eating bigger prey as they grow and evolve. While some of this can be beneficial there are chances that they may become over gown, With them gaining an appetite for meat as they evolve it could put nightmares & daydreams alike in danger Because they may see young freshling as a meal. The negatives are as fallows: Over consumption of local plants insects, familiars can be put at risk .familiars that frequently roam, fly and walk around could fall prey to theses plants, for example things like titan arum , Venus fly trap and pitcher plant, all uses a fluid to attract and trap there prey. Theses animated plants could evolve to do just that leading to injury and tragedy even possible poisoning if it becomes a hybrid with plants that are toxic.
Though I can see some positives in this type of plant, pest control, protection, new familiars , they could help us in more ways then one. In becoming a living organism and given the chance to develop past the aggressive stages they may be able to live among us one day. In conclusion, there are many aggressive things out there in the world. With training, time & patients they could become nonlethal and helpful, maybe not just only have a few benefits they could evolve over time to help save lives. and even make living conditions better for many. plants already give us so much. so I could only imagine what a plant with its own mind could give us. we already have Pumpka so could a animated plant be all that bad?

Zinnia was very hopeful that plants could grow and evolve to be better just like every living creatures. Maybe she was a bit foolish to be trusting so soon but plants are all she knew while growing up and she loved them, learning about them and living among them gave her life meaning.
