Ida shrugged gently, a small curve to her lips.
"I could go into it more if you wanted me to, but it wasn't pleasant." She agreed. "Hopefully nothing like that will ever happen again."
What he said made some sense.... except... Babylon had become a better person, he said. She had not. In some ways, maybe, she was stronger for what she had been through, but for the most part? She had lost a lot of the girl she had been before this started. She wasn't sure she liked the person she had become, or was becoming. This person was harder and more jaded, less trusting and sadder. This wasn't the person she wanted to be, but it was so hard to struggle up out of it. Any progress she made was barely measurable.
But she had friends she wouldn't have met other wise. People she cared about. Athene, Tsui, Chaonis... Horatio, Liryn, Florentina, Shang, Chari... Hver. That was something to be thankful for.
"Its helpful." She said as she offered him a smile. "It was helpful for you and its good to think about. I'm glad you've found something to keep you going. I'm just going to need to find my own reasons, I think. So thanks."
It did feel a little better, being able to talk to him. It was easier, a little, to talk to someone she didn't know as well as her current friends. She didn't have to worry so much about worrying him.
"Things are changing a lot for me. I think maybe I need to just roll with it and see where it all falls out. I'll finish my degree in spring and start working in a hospital getting practical experience."

Babylon shook his head. At one point, he might have pressed her for more, but Ida's expression told him everything he needed to know - Hyperborea had told the truth. "No, that's quite enough," he said. After carefully putting all of his trash into the bakery bag, he added, "I hope that you find your reasons, and I hope that they're fulfilling. Because the Ida I knew, the Ida I remember - she was tireless, and compassionate, and an amazing leader, and I'm certain you can be all those things. If the bad things in our dreams were possible, then so were the good things." He held the bag out to her. "I should get going. Do you have anything you want me to take?" Ida ducked her head at his assessment, feeling her face warm as she smiled gently.
"Thanks for having confidence in me. I hope I can live up to it." She murmured.
As he offered the bag, she shook her head and slid off the wall, cradling her coffee and uneaten muffin. She shifted the muffin into her other hand, balancing it on top of her left over coffee before she offered her glowing hand to Babylon again.
"Thanks for asking for me. We'll do this again soon, I hope? I'd like to take you to Ida, if you'd like to go, sometime. Its a pretty place, and its warm." She said as her own smile warmed a bit, easing into something approaching comfortable. She hadn't expected to find a connection with this knight, but she found that she actually looked forward to seeing him again and getting a chance to talk more. Ida figured she was going to have to think of a few things for topics so she didn't bore him with her problems the whole time like she had this one. She wanted normal, it was time she started putting some effort into it.

Babylon leaned to kiss the back of Ida's hand, her purple glow illuminating his freckles. "Definitely, Princess," he said, "and I'd love to see your home world. I'm certain it's lovely." If the senshi in front of him was any indication, he expected a tropical greenhouse of some sort. "And I would love to bring you to Babylon sometime," he said, straightening up again. "The seasons are extreme, but... beautiful." Tucking the bag up under his arm, he tipped his head to her. "I'll be going, then," he said. "Don't be a stranger."

She couldn't help it... even though he'd done it before, she still flushed when he kissed her hand, embarrassed to be called Princess.
"I would like to see it, definitely." She managed, smoothing over the flutters. Ida smile again as he nodded to her and she lifted her chin in return. "Safe travels home, Babylon. I'll see you again soon."
