"Maybe a little more so from the back." He teased when she said he didn't look like a damsel. Long hair, sparkly dress robes. He supposed it was a compliment that she didn't think he looked like a girl, and he only laughed some more when she mentioned coming to his rescue. "I'm hoping to keep myself out of dangers way if possible but I certainly wouldn't mind you swooping in."

He wasn't entirely surprised by how she reacted to her neighbor being a partier, she seemed the mature and responsible type. But that didn't make the exasperated sound she made any less cute. And when she spoke about being a good example for her younger siblings he nodded vigorously. "That sounds precious, but must make it hard for late night senshi-ing. How many siblings do you have?" He added curiously.

Eyes gazing upward at space, Bimini looked both literally and figuratively starry eyed. "I was an only child myself. Always wanted siblings though. Or kids even." But having kids required having time for a wife, or girlfriend. Well.. maybe it was a little less about time and more about 'him'.

She looked at him, thinking, trying to picture him from the back. She hadn't seen his back, so she didn't really know his shape. Rose tilted her head again, chip dangling between her lips as she did. Her lilac eyes seemed to glaze over before she shook her head quicker and then grinned a bit wider. "Well let's hope you stay out of trouble then, Bimini."

She finished the chip and then took a soda, sipping at it lightly. Look, she was hungry, and just because she had company she wasn't going to not eat. That was stupid. "I have three younger siblings. The youngest of which is two. The oldest of which is turning twelve this year." Ah, how they grew up fast. Rose had a soft expression on her face as she thought back and then blinked. Only child? That sounded... lonely and quite good at the same time.

"I wonder what it's like, being an only child... I mean, being the oldest has it's perks, but I babysit so much it's almost like they're my kids rather than siblings.." Lord forbid she had kids this young. Or especially now with her patrolling and fighting in a war only people like her knew about. "Kids would.. be a thought for the future. After college..."

He listened intently, munching on his sandwich as she spoke about her siblings, nodding his head at appropriate times. There was a large age range between all the children, which wasn't entirely strange, but also wasn't particularly the norm. Many families had children in batches with not such long stretches in between them. He could definitely understand how she'd feel like a parent more than a sibling when her youngest was only two.

When she asked about being an only child he looked thoughtful for a moment before shrugging. "It's probably different for everyone I guess. My parents let me get away with pretty much anything I wanted though.. And I often tried to hang out with friends and stuff. That's probably.. you know.. not having kids at home I always wanted to be around other people?" He was guessing, but he didn't really know, far from a psychology major. His jovial and gregacious nature could have had nothing at all to do with being an only child - who knew.

When she mentioned kids, obviously tentatively, he laughed a little. "I would say so. You've just barely begun your life - you have plenty of time." Giving her a wink, he teased mildly. "Don't let my boyish good looks fool you, I'm pretty sure I'm quite a bit older than you."

Oh, God, getting away with things sounded so good... Not that she did much without them knowing. Only going out and being flagged as a terrorist, fighting evil, protecting people. But that's it. They knew about her watching the stars, trying to get a steady job somewhere she would't be flat out miserable.

"Oh that actually makes a lot of sense... I tend to want to get away from large groups. ...Unless I'm the one putting the group together. One or two people around me is fine, but three or more that I'm stuck with? Well, let's just say I have a very sweet, believable smile." The red-head nodded and giggled to herself as she sipped at her drink again.

"No, really?" She was feigning ignorance right now before just laughing a bit more. "It's fine. You don't act like the other grown ups. Not boring, not... intimidating like they are."

Bimini smile a little as she mentioned being less of a fan of large groups than he was. Barring people who liked to club he doubted there were many people that did like big groups as much as he did. But that didn't mean he couldn't have just as much fun in a small group. As long as there was someone. Being completely alone was something he'd never been fond of.

When she teased about his age he looked like a puppy that had been kicked. Wounded beyond saving and on death's door. But the look was just as feigned as her innocence had been, the expression softening after a moment as the hands dramatically clasped to his chest fell to his lap again. "Adults can be pretty intimidating and boring. I feel much more at home with younger people. I guess I'm pretty lucky I chose a job that offers me a young cliental.

She felt a little bit of her heart shatter at the look he gave her and then huffed. Slowly she resisted the urge to cup his cheek and kiss his forehead like she would a younger sibling, only in a lot less... chest tightening way. Her cheeks flushed a little and she just cleared her throat a little more. Rose laughed to herself gently and then let her toes curl before she scooted a little closer.

"So, no girlfriend, or anyone special? Boyfriend, maybe?"

She was picking up on context clues from the conversation but confirmation was always the best. With a noise, she sipped at her drink just a little more, toying with the soda can and waited for an answer. She might have stared up at him through thick lashes, maybe she was flirting.

Was she doing it right? She never tried before.

He had to hide the cringe that wanted to accompany the word 'boyfriend'. Not because he had any issues with homosexuality, he had friends, he didn't care who did who or what. But because as a very straight guy - who had never been very lucky with women - whose sexuality had been questioned before and was currently wearing a sparkling pastel suit....

The only saving grace was the fact that he was pretty sure she was flirting. There were the subtle signs that had quickened his pulse. She had scooted closer, the blush that had touched her cheek, and she was maybe fishing for an answer? He was pretty sure she was flirting and he leaned towards her a little bit almost lost in those thick lashes when a sudden thought hit him.

What if she wasn't flirting? And what if he went in for it, some old creepy guy trying to mack on some poor highschool girl. Beyond the legal complications the idea of upsetting her and wrecking her night of star gazing was enough to stop him, swallowing back the desire he'd had to brush his fingers across her cheek.

"No girlfriend, no." He laughed, pretty awkwardly. Putting his hands in his lap, to keep them safely to himself, he shrugged trying to make a joke of the fact. "Not many ladies can handle this." Which was true. He wasn't exactly the kind of guy you took home to mom and dad. Uber geek, overgrown 'teenager', and workaholic.

"You..?" He asked after a moment, curious now.

It was a legitimate question, honestly. A lot of the guys she knew from patrolling had boyfriends. She slowly bit down on her bottom lip before taking a breath and then shrugged. "No? Well..." The laugh that bubbled up from his line of 'not many can handle this' was pure and unadulterated. She didn't mean to be offensive, and she waved her hand and tried to look apologetic as she laughed. After a few seconds more, she took a deep breath to try to steel herself and then shook her head again.

"N-no. I'm sorry for laughing.." She said as she suppressed a giggle. God, what if he was offended? "I didn't expect that! I'm sorry!" One of her hands came up to hid her lips as she continued to smirk and then took several more deep breaths before the giggling stopped and she was left breathless.

"No. I'm.. I've never had a boyfriend. Too busy with school work usually, or the guy I end up sort of having a thing for ends up either with a girlfriend or he's gay." Hopefully that was enough to convince him that she was very much straight as an arrow.

He wasn't really offended by the laugh that burst out of her at his joke, even as very strong as it was. Self deprecating humor was something he'd learned to rely on back in highschool himself. It was funny and he didn't mind being the joke. In fact, at the moment he was trying hard not to smile too widely at how cute she looked trying to politely contain her laughter. Her hand pressed to her lips as moonlight bathed her in a soft glow.

An eyebrow quirked upward as she mentioned both not having a boyfriend and never having had one, his eyes once more glancing to the setup around them. He had really expected that she was waiting for someone. Plus she was so pretty it was hard to believe...

Well, just - a look at that girl with the lights comin' up in her eyes.
She's got to be somebody's baby.
She must be somebody's baby.

She's so fine.

But then she DID go to Crystal Academy. He'd often joked (both as a teen and an adult) about the man hating curiculumn at the fancy school. And it made sense some with her maturity and responsibilities that she might not have the time or interest. He could definitely believe that she wasn't the sort of silly little girl that ran around crushing on every other boy band or flirting unabashedly.

Smirking a little when she mentioned crushing on gay guys though he could only shake his head and commiserate - having hit on far too many lesbians in his time. "I've got a pretty good streak of hitting on girls who like girls."

"Or maybe they're just letting me down easy." He joked with a wink.

"It's not like there is any big rush or anything, I'm sure you'll find someone great eventually." He added after a moment thoughtfully, glancing back up towards the stars. But serenaded in the corners of his mind by the old song he couldn't help himself, shifting a little until his fingertips brushed softly against hers.

I try to shut eyes, but I can't get her outta my sight.
I know I'm gonna know her, but I gotta get over my fright.
We'll, I'm just gonna walk up to her.
I'm gonna talk to her tonight.

Saint Sergio
It was a quite legitimate question. XD So many boys that like boys in this shop. I remember a time when like... 70% of the Negaverse male population was gayyyyy.

Also yayyyyy I don't get to quote enough 80's song with him.

So he hit on lesbians. Rose knew quite a few of those, too. Most of her friends from Crystal seemed to be into women, not that she judged. Just a friendly observation. She had to admit, she did find one or two girls really attractive. Ultimately, however, she couldn't see herself in a relationship outside of friendship with one. It just wasn't in her nature, she didn't suppose. Not even the smallest hit of experimentation hit her at any point in time.

Ah, well. She couldn't keep pondering on that, could she?

"I don't know, I like to believe that they were. Their loss has been a find for me. You're a very kind man, from what I can tell from our long talk this evening."

Rose turned her head to face the Squire again and just beamed up. "I'm sure we'll both find someone. You seem nice enough." Then she felt something brush her finger tips and she twitched hers lightly before moving to brush back against his.

She was sure this was a form of flirting. A very apparent form that she appreciated.

He really hadn't expected her to.. say nice things about him. Though he didn't really care that much if the girls had just been brushing him off there was something about the fact that she felt it necessary to comfort him about it that was extremely endearing even in it's uneccesariness. She really was very sweet.

He was looking at her with an appreciative smile at her kindness when her fingers brushed back against his. And suddenly he was sixteen again.

His heart was in his throat, his mind crying out in uncertainty. Just kiss her his hormones shrieked, fueled on by every ridiculous chick flick and teenage rom com. But oh my god... what if he made a fool or himself? What if she slapped him? Why, when the chips were down, was he nowhere as cool as he liked to pretend he was?

In the end he simply turned from her, laughing with an awkwardness he remembered quite well from his youth. But his hand remained, shifting as his fingers attempted to lace in between hers for a moment. "Yeah I guess. They say there is someone out there for everyone."

"Just have to know where to look."

Powering down, until what remained beside her was just a guy, in torn jeans and a vintage Nintendo tshirt, Corey shifted. "I should probably let you get back to your stargazing and charting. But..."

"I'd still be happy to take you to see Bimini sometime.. if you like."

Saint Sergio
All the lesbians at Crystal just confirm Corey's suspicions XD

When he turned away with that laugh, she let out her own giggle and just laced her fingers with his. That's what he was going for, that's what he wanted and she did too, honestly. Shifting a little, she went so far as to lean against him when he powered down in that flash of light and then just smiled. Her head rested against his shoulder and she nodded.

"I want to go one day. Definitely. I'll take you to Kepler, too. It's ...old, in ruins mostly, but I think I can make it better. I'll try to."

She couldn't help the easy smile that fell to her lips like this. It was just good to be near someone she could talk about this with, that well.. paid her compliments and didn't mind the awkward flirting she did, and flirted back. They would look like a pair of teenagers stumbling over this whole getting to know you thing, like a first date. Especially since they were basically on a picnic blanket ate night. She pushed her free hand through her bangs again and just hummed again.

"The fountain of youth... That'd be exciting to see. Do you.. have special plants or birds there?"

She was fishing for things to talk about, not really wanting him to go, despite how fast she knew time was going.

The shift of her fingers that allowed his to fit comfortably within hers and the lack of her drawing away was a bolster to his confidence. Even more so when suddenly there was pressure against his shoulder, a contented sigh escaping him. It wasn't quite as nerve racking with her acceptance. Though their fingers remained locked one of his began to move, his pointer finger lightly caressing hers.

"Yeah, that's what I'm trying to do right now too. Make it presentable and maybe bring it closer to it's former glory."

The question about plants and birds brought a thoughtful hum from him before he shook his head mildly. "There are some things that look like empty pots. So there must have been some plants there at some point. But they seem more like landscaping then actually growing. I don't know that many people actually lived on Bimini, I think it was more a visit or work there kind of thing."

Suddenly concerned that he might have turned her off of it though he quickly added. "But it has a handful of really cool fountains, one of them is huge. Plus comfy chairs and a pretty stunning view of the galaxy." Stars, lots of stars. He was hoping she'd bite.

Without even thinking about it he mused. "You could even bring a swimsuit if you wanted." What with all the water it could be fun to actually like.. play around in it. Until it dawned on him how that sounded and he backtracked suddenly, sheepishly. "Not that you have to or anything I mean. I just thought..." He shook his head awkwardly. Yeeshhh.. way to go Corey. That wasn't creepy at all.

She couldn't help it. Physical contact with someone other than family wasn't something she got a lot of. Rose was nervous, definitely, her stomach all a flutter and her heart felt like it was doing flips. Honestly, the long haired girl didn't understand how[/] she crushed on someone this hard and fast, yet here it was. She let out a little laugh and nodded a bit.

"I think that's how I'm dealing with Kepler.. I'll try to do what I can until a Princess is found.." Kepler was a lovely planet on it's own, but there were obvious signs it wasn't kept up as well as it would be if the Princess was around. What kind of girl would she be?

Then he mentioned the view and then a bathing suit and she flustered a minute and then swallowed and laughed a bit, biting down on her lower lip. "I.. could. Maybe." She didn't do all that much swimming unless it was in the summer. Then again, maybe the climate there was more tropical and humid than Destiny City. She'd go swimming then. This had her thinking of what kind of day to plan. The food, the drinks, clothes to change into, towels. Then she realized she gave a very non answer type of answer.

"What I mean to say is that.. I think I will bring a swimsuit. I can.. pack a lunch and we can make a day of it, or something."

"A princess huh?" He asked curiously. He knew that knights had them, a prince or princess that they were sworn to. He'd heard about his own but never actually seen her, he wouldn't even know how to find her or what he would say when he did. But did senshi have princes and princesses that they were bound to as well?

The thoughts were brushed away as he stumbled over the unintentional awkwardness he'd caused. He saw her lightly biting her own lip and wondered if she was rethinking it all, trying to find a way out of the situation completely. But then she delivered something much better and he found himself laughing with relief despite himself. "Well alright then, it's a date."

"Eventually." He added when he considered his choice of words.

Grinning out at the stars, he mused. "If it's alright with you I can send you a note when I've spruced it up a little bit more. And we can make actual plans then?" Was it dangerous giving him permission to write her magical letters at whim? Almost definitely.
