“Don’t even get me started on nobles,” Aseara rolled her eyes. She’d had enough of Afsana to last her a whole lifetime and things weren’t getting any better either.
“Well I’m glad to see you’re okay,” perhaps he hadn’t done anything wrong, perhaps he had but really no one could tell. As long as Eleina was being safe though, Aseara didn’t see an issue. “Have you asked him to teach you? Did he say yes?” Aseara wasn’t a battler, but a mentor was always a good thing and magic always seemed like this unpredictable thing when compared to swords and arrows.

She knew that Aseara would understand, especially the noble part. Neither girl had the best experience with nobles, and to be honest she didn't know many people who did. That was other then other nobles of course, and even some of them didn't like their own kind.
She shook her head. "I was going to ask him the last time I saw him, he's much better now and I feel like he has a better temperament as well, but then he started to talk about wanting to go back home to Zena and I guess I chickened out. I don't think he will stay even if I ask him to mentor me, and I'm not sure if I'm ready to go to Zena."

“Hm,” Aseara said thoughtfully. “That is a predicament!” She understood why he wouldn’t want to stay in Oba and why Eleina didn’t want to leave. Either someone relented on their position or they both did not. “What if you went to Zena for a little while? After that you could always try and find a new mentor to help you maybe? Or perhaps he knows someone that could mentor you here if he cannot or chooses not to.” Seemed like a good compromise, that was if this man knew anyone that could take up the mantel. “Why don’t you want to go to Zena?”

Aseara had a point. He had to have a mentor over there, maybe they could share, or maybe because their magic was different his mentor knew someone else that could help her. There really was no way of knowing unless she asked. The possibilities were endless.
"I guess I'm kind of scared. It's far from home, and I've never been that far. Plus from what he says it's so very cold. What if I freeze to death? I've never been in the cold, and even if I bundled up I'm not sure I could take it." She was scared to fail mostly. To leave home and find out that outside of Oba, outside of Matori she was nothing. Plus she figured if she was going to leave home the first few places she would go to should be ones that had similar climates to where she lived. At least then she wouldn't have to adjust so much so fast.

“You’re afraid of being cold?” Aseara laughed. “Well, think of it this way. I was scared to death when I came to Oba, I thought I would melt into a puddle but I also knew that this was the best choice for my life right now. If going to Zena is your next best course of action, don’t let your fear stop you.” Aseara finished her drink. “Otherwise, you might miss the best opportunity in your life, another one might not come along.” It was scary yes, and it was far from home but it would be an amazing experience for her.

Aseara made her fear seem so silly, and really the more she thought about it the other girl was right. She shouldn't stop doing something that could be good thing for her due to a fear that was actually kind of silly. Plus it wasn't like she couldn't true around if things got too cold for her. She was sure it didn't get freezing the moment that she stepped into Zena. "You're right Aseara. I think I'm going to do it..."
"Other then being the best dancer in Oba and making your own dance is there anything new with you?" she felt like she was monopolizing their conversation and she wanted to know if her friend had any other adventures since they last talked.
