"It's a volcano, who cares!" Danny said happily, taking the dog and shoving him over her shoulder like a sack of potatoes. She squished her face into the side (which then horrifying looked like it was going to melt into the dog) and was basically preoccupied for the rest of the walk.
She did take Rikki's hand as they walked, though less for romance and more for a guide so she didn't run into anything while her face was consumed by adorable melty dog.

He looked skeptical at the bit about the magma, but didn't say anything. Who was he to limit a kid's dreams? He took Danny's hand and pulled her out of the way of particularly crumbly looking areas or big rocks that might trip her. He was very good at being eyes for two people.
"She's a fire demon. She just wants to exist near it. You'll be okay up there right?"
Rikki wouldn't be.
The sacrifices made for loved ones.

Vivi looked happy hanging over Danny's shoulder, tail wagging, tongue sticking out, and flame nice and bright. Tito gave a sigh of relief. "I'm sure It'll fiiinne! Maybe we'll see Vivi chase after a small animal along the way. I'm sure Danny would melt quicker than Vivi over it.
Tito kept looking to make sure Vivi was happy being held how he was.
Vivi started barking out of enjoyment of not having to walk, but felt a little curious as to why someone would shove their face in his waxy body

Danny surfaced just to say, "I don't melt! I'm made of fire!" The dog sort of oozed across her shoulders, threatening to melt onto Rikki's hand, but it was only at her bicep thusfar.
She scratched the back of the dog's back, causing the little flame to wag. She gave Rikki a look like check this s**t out.

Rikki saw that wagging tail, and he was positively in love with it. He was almost ready to let Danny try to buy it again, familiar or not.
The closer they got to the top of the volcano the more treacherous the path became. Rikki put himself on outside of the path, keeping Danny and Vivi safely on the inside as the ground cracked and crumbled ominously. There was even a memorable moment when Rikki reached back like a ******** mom to hold Tito's arm and keep him from falling down the side of the volcano.
Rikki Synkka, the only adult in Halloween.
When they reached the top it was exactly as hot and unpleasant as he expected it to be. "I hope you're both very happy" he panted, pulling at his suddenly too thick shirt.

Tito Looked into the entrance of the volcano. "So...Should we go in? I mean, Rikki already looks done like dinner."
Vivi looked excited to be close to the volcano, eyed the entrance.
Tito looked up at the sky "Oh my...Is that ash in the air?."
Vivi coughed up a small flame.

"Rikki? Nah, he's fine." She squished into his arm with the cheek that wasn't covered in wax. It was a good thing that Danny had a heat aura that heated up the area around her by 10 degrees. Wasn't that great?
She began to walk full steam ahead into the entrance of the volcano. She always dragged Rikki places with no concern (most of the time). "Probably 'cause the volcano's active. At least it was when I was in there picking up that rock earlier."

Rikki was less than fine. But he was durable and would survive, most likely. He seemed to wilt a little under Danny's extra heat. He would survive.
He made a horrifyingly high-pitched coo at the little flame cough and was sufficiently distracted enough to be dragged into the volcano. "You came here before?" He should be less surprised than he was. Mostly he was just upset because she'd already come here and yet he was still being dragged into the heat.
"Vivi's not going to melt completely in the heat is he?"

Tito began to walk into the volcano. "Lil steamy in here! Oh, and Vivi will be fine! He never seems to melt all the way, he just sorta..Always has wax. It's rather convenient!"
Vivi began to jump around happily, wagging his tail and butt.
Tito look around and saw fire and magma spouting up almost everywhere. "So, uh...Should Rikki and I be a little worried about that?."
Tito saw that Vivi was as happy as ever being in here. He was running around, happy as ever to be surrounded by death. Maybe there is more to Vivi than anyone knows. Or He just likes the heat. Who knows? Not Tito.
"Maybe we shouldn't be here too long, as happy as Vivi and Danny seem to be... Anything cool in here you two know about??."

Danny was sad to lose the dog off her shoulder, but she was happy to see it wiggling its little butt and tail. That kind of made it worth it. Sort of. Almost.
(She missed it already).
Seeing as the two flammable boys were bonding over not being hardcore enough to wade into lava, Danny picked up the dog and started walking straight into it like it was water on a beach. She didn't swim neccessarily, but if she was bothered she didn't let it on.
"There's big rocks," she announced proudly of her knowledge of the area, putting Vivi up on her head like a candledog crown. "And lava." Outstanding knowledge of the area.

Stranded on the less death-y rocks with Tito, Rikki moved as far away from the lava as possible and sat down."Maybe you should try practicing your magic now? We've got time."

Tito stood up, and began creating a small flame in his hands. He moved it around his body, then he moved it towards and around Rikki. Tito brought it back to his hands, and made it larger. Into a sort of fireball. He moved it around him, then shot it at a wall. The wall had a small to medium hole in it.
"So far that's some of the most I really can do with my fire. My dad told me I would eventually be able to control a whole stream of fire around me, but right now the best I can do is a fireball. I wanna be able to do more with it, and learn other elements as well.."
