These days it wasn't easy for Sobie to carry Tsu, but he could manage it if he kept a slow and easy pace. With Tsu not even able to hold on it was worse. Everyday it got worse and Sobie's heart broke with fear, but he could only go forward with Tsu, there was no going back.
There were days, every now and then that Tsu had a good day. Eyes clear and bright, mind sharp as it had always been in his younger days... still Sobie did his best to remind Tsu of everything, and when he couldn't remember, the telling was just a story.
"Jeiyana," Sobie spoke calmly, doing his best to keep the quavering of his heart out of his voice. "You've known her since she was a little girl..." He recited the story that had been told to him in days past, how Jeiyana had run from her father, his return from a hunt and bloody maw causing a misunderstanding that kept the girl from her family.
Soon they game to the stream and Sobie let Tsu slide down from his back at the mossy edge, hoping that he had regained some feeling, that it would come back at all. "Here we are, my dear... Have a drink and then we'll go home. To my home, our home... Jeiyana said she would hunt for us and bring Rennoa. How does that sound?"

A story...
His eyes closed for a moment, as he heard the retelling of a memory he had long forgotten. One couldn't be more sure if it was, or wasn't a story now a days. Sobie came back in to his head as he told Tsu the story, and he remembered that he moved in with him and that their life together was desperately different from when he had lived alone, but memories that were connected to his old home were muffled and damaged for the moment. He felt calm now, up until Sobie stopped and put him near water. It felt as if he were just a floating head as they got close and he extended himself out as much as possible to finally reach the water.
His mouth was beyond thirsty, and dried for what seemed like days of absence from Sobie. The more he drank, the more he could feel the water course through him. Giving his mind knowledge of every limb that Tsu still had attached.
"I remember..." He finally said after moments of simply gobbling up the water like a starved man. He inhaled and exhaled with his nerves finally letting him breath easy. He was no long a head, his body came back to him, although he would dare not say what he felt to Sobie. His head laying against a rock, so close to the water that he could feel some splash against his cheeks.
"I must have wondered too far.. How long ..." He tried to shake his head, but he was far too weak for the motion for the moment. "Don't trouble them.. Now that I am back I can hunt for us." He offered, although he was in no shape to do so. How many others have seen his mind deteriorate?
{{ Im thinking he was missing for a few days? }}

Sobie inhaled and exhaled with Tsu, staying right beside him as his mate drank his fill. His heart still thumping loudly, but finally returned to his chest after days... Sobie dipped his head down to Tsu's face and lapped it dry.
"All is well, don't strain yourself, my dear, just rest..."
Sobie often fretted, and tried to dissuade Tsu from his adventures. He would tell Tsu any story he wanted to hear, but he wanted no more to be made.
"It isn't a trouble at all for those young girls to hunt a meal for us to share together when they come for a visit." Sobie replied, rather than telling Tsu 'no' that was too much, beyond his ability.
Instead, as something to pass the time, Sobie began to spin another tale for Tsu, shifting himself around and laying so that they were nearly nose to nose. He had told Jeiyana they'd go home after a drink, but this was very close to home and Tsu was still recovering. He spun the yarn with as many twists and embellishments as he could muster up, of a fantastic hunt that Tsu had led before his mind and body had begun to betray him, he was careful to amend the names of the young ulaya that Tsu did not recall, and hoped that was enough to satisfy the aged adventurer.
