Hel was eyeing Brenley with amusement, of course, but also with a bit of awe. This may have been the first time she had gotten the reaper to utter more than three sentences to her in one breath. It was something she wasn't used to, and took a moment to revel in it.
She started to move after him in a casual and cheerful gate, making sure there was a bounce in her step to bounce---some other things---She grinned. "Ya, but I will also have you know that as much as Amity is about academia, it is also about battling. You fight to get into the school, and you fight to get out." Her grin widened even more as she squealed with delight. "Oh, Brenners! Are you making innuendos? I did ask if you were fiddling around with someone's spear to graduate--" Here she laughed. "But I am teasing!" She paused, and tilted her head curiously with a grin.
"Do not say what to anyone else, hm?"

"Your stories about... what I may or may not have done to graduate," he said, deflated now that she had admitted she had been joking. "Or that I have graduated at all." The fact that he had done so was easy enough to figure out. It had practically been announced at prom, for Jack's sake. But there were still a few who didn't yet know, and he wanted to keep it that way for as long as he could.
He wondered what sort of threat he might make that would keep her quiet, but he found one soon enough. She had told him just what to say earlier, before she had unleashed Hel. Brenley's smirk only lasted a second, but his amusement was still clear in his eyes. "Don't say anything about any of that or I'll tell your boilfriend that you were... jiggling with another man."
Yes, he had noticed the bouncing.
No, he didn't actually have any idea who this mystery beau was to tell him anyway. He hoped she wouldn't call him on it.

Hel laughed. "I would say about about most, Brenners!" She laughed louder. "Like Junko--" If the reaper even knew the monster or not, Hel didn't care as she went on to explain her point. "I bet she bent over a desk to get her diploma! HA! It was easier to pull teeth out of a snapping mini than to get her to the gym to meet her requirements!" She cackled, but immediately lost interest in that point in light of the other.
"Why do you not want any to know you have graduated? I could tell by your battle skill, yanno~" Though she was baffled why he wouldn't want anyone to know. That was usually something to be proud of--
But then the reaper made a threat against her, and Hel stiffened as she narrowed her eyes at him.
Sadly for Brenley, Hel would call him on it. Even if she was the cause of Brenley to have leverage on her, she'd make damn sure to find out if it was a bluff or not. "Oh? And who is my beau, Brenley, now that we are speaking about it~?"

He thought he might lie, which he actually wasn't horrible at in some situations. Too bad this wasn't one of them. Not only was he not well practiced at threats, but he honestly had no idea how to bluff his way into guessing the correct name among the millions of choices he had. He wouldn't even have really known it was a boil had he not assumed.
"All right, I'll admit I don't know." He cleared his throat. "And I wouldn't tell anyone about this anyway." Bren kept moving, back toward where the flailing basilisk had flung her towel. "As for my diploma... I don't want to be seen as strange for not having moved on the moment I got it. And I kind of sped through. It's... not cool." It was colossally nerdy, actually. "I have a lot more to learn and I'd like to do so without having to meet expectations. But if you think I'm skilled, I'll have to make a note to trip over things more when I fight."

Hel's glare lightened immediately, and in response she gave him a wide grin. "I applaud you for trying, regardless!" Though she was rather smug he had nothing to use on her. The reaper trailed after him, not minding that he was picking up her towel again--because most certainly he wasn't going to use it on her! No.
Any sane person would have been making a bee line back to their clothes, actually.
The reaper listened with a head tilt, her eyes rolling up to the sky thoughtfully as she hummed. After a moment she shot him another grin, and a thumbs-up. "It is not strange! That you are sticking around, that is. There are a handful of alumni who do, yanno, and if you are worried about what other creeple will say, ******** THEM!" Hel cried triumphantly, throwing her hands into the air. She then lowered them, resting them on her hips. "You do what you want, Brenley. Who is to say what is acceptable for you other than you?"
She laughed. "Hey-- I did not say it was a good skill~!" She grinned like a fiend. "It was just lacking the painful awkwardness of a first year's uncertainty, that is all!"

"Hm." He already pretty much did do what he wanted, but it had hardly gained him very many trusted friends. Not even his dromaiusaurus had stuck around. "I think I'll keep up the lie for a little while longer. 'Not good but not painfully awkward' will serve me for now." Bren held up her towel like a matador.
"Do you want to get dressed? Maybe?"
