He would have rolled his eyes, but that would have been rude, and besides, he was above such things anyway - or, at least, he certainly tried to be. Instead, Magiore just let his gaze rest on Dahlia's furry face, expression clearly indicating his very mild exasperation.
"Fine," he said, fingers flipping through her fur. "You are clearly enlightened."
Something about the term made him amused, though he didn't show it. But the amusement rapidly gave way to something akin to embarrassment, Magiore turning away, lips pressed together in a thin line. Maybe, on some level, he had been worried that someone would reprimand him. But then again, he was not much in the Negaverse at all except a lowly captain who couldn't seem to make general even after years of working towards it.
Just another dog of the Negaverse, apparently.
"Perhaps," Magiore said, somewhat evasively, but the idea that she was simply here to check up on him after all was a little relieving. He cast a glance Dahlia's way again, a little frown of thought on his face as he considered her.
"I suppose very lucky," he said, a touch dryly. "Well, then, shall we...?"

The little looks of exasperation on his face... The effort that was being required to try and shake his tough exterior.. they were cute in their own way. A challenge really, as she wasn't used to anyone rebuffing her. At the very least, it was certainly not boring, and Dahlia made a note in the back of her head that perhaps she would have to visit him again in the future. Maybe it would even be fun. Satisfying even when she eventually succeeded. And she would, she was sure. Because Dahlia was a very vain cat that thought the world of herself and her abilities.
"Very well." She mused, standing up from her comfy seated position before taking a dainty little leap at his chest. The cat hoped that his arms would come up instinctively to catch and carry her, but if they didn't it would only take a couple claws and some shifting to save herself and climb up to his shoulder.kuropeco I wanted to make a 'two tickets to paradise' quip but that's sadly something Bimini would know, not her. cat_emo I think this one can probably wrap in a couple more posts?

He found, surprisingly, he didn't really mind Dahlia's company. Certainly she was a bit...well, forward, he supposed, in her own way, and certainly she was confident in herself. It wasn't necessarily a bad thing, but at the same time, she was not quite like the rest of the Negaverse he'd met so far.
Maybe it was because she was a cat. Or maybe it was just because she was really one of the first females he'd talked to in the Negaverse in general.
(He thought it might just be the cat thing.)
With a sigh, Magiore moved to push himself up off of his couch, only to be accosted by said cat. He gave a startled yelp and stumbled a little as he claws dug into him, and automatically, he moved to catch her, fluff and fur in his face as she moved around.
When she was finally settled, he said, a little dryly, "Settled down, have we?"iris_virus sdfkjlsdfhsjdfsdf that works for me :'D

For a moment Dahlia thought he wasn't going to get the hint and catch her. But just as she began to truly worry his arms were there beneath her feet, and she shifted just enough to get comfy an appreciative purr rumbling loudly from her. He'd have to get better at that if he was going to give her rides in the future. Second time around he'd do a better job she was sure.
"How else are we going to teleport together?" She teased, nuzzling her head against his shirt (and probably leaving at least a few long white hairs). "It's not like you can hold my hand or anything."
"But I'm ready yes. Thank you." Tail swaying mildly she waited for the strange sensation of teleportation to overtake her. Back to those dim and cool caves. And her private little lake.

This time he really did give a little snort of amusement.
"No, perhaps not," said Magiore dryly, and he made sure that Dahlia was secure and steady on his shoulder before he moved at all. The last thing he wanted was for those tiny, razor sharp claws to be digging into his skin.
"Next time you decide to pay me a little visit, maybe make sure that you get your claws trimmed," Magiore suggested innocently - but then they were off, and it was back to the Negaverse, back to his second home.

His apparent amusement was enough to curl her kitty lips into a little bit more of a kitty smile. And as he teased her about her claws, her dual colored eyes rolled mildly, offering him another mild tease in response. "Asking me to impair my best weapons just for a little extra comfort on your end. Aren't we supposed to be a big and tough warrior?" There was no ill intent behind the tease and it was obvious from the tone. She would however remember to attempt her next leap into his arm with her claws sheathed.
Before she could say anymore though the sensation of movement was upon them and they were whisked off to Negaspace. A ride home and perhaps even a new contact. Not bad for an afternoon's work.
