The needle was set aside after a quick snip of scissors, and Veer's head was once again whole, if not bloody. And that was easy enough with the careful dab of a clean towel as the dark skinned man lay still, color not quite fully returned.

"Some people are idiots. Or they're well off enough of to turn down paid work.". To be fair, Ezekiel could have, but why? Why turn down money?

He sat back finally, wiping his hand off on the same towel he'd used on Veer's head. " Yes, you're done. Try to stay out of trouble for more than a month this time, hmm?"

A roll of his eyes, and Ezekiel was rising to his feet to hook a hand under Veer's arm, steadying him. "I'll just take you home. Keep you out of trouble for at least the rest of the night."

It didn't seem as though the doctor-in-training was going to accept no for an answer. He lead the other man towards the door, grabbing his coat off the hook beside it before letting them both out.
