XXXXX After leaving the Shin'ō Academy, Tanji decided to "go on a patrol." This of course was just an excuse for him to kill time by aimlessly walking around. After a while of aimless wandering Tanji noticed the fuji garden tea house in the distance and said "Oh I seem to have ended up near the tea house, and something sweet would be nice right now. I may as well take a break from this "patrol" and pop in for some tea and a snack." to himself as he walked towards the tea house.
XXXXX As he enters the tea house and takes a seat at one of the tables close to the entrance he takes notice of the 9th division captain talking to Nyx over in the corner of the shop and thinks "Oh Captain Yamiyo is here, and is that Nyx? Man when was the last time I saw her outside of delivering paperwork to the 9th division? ... Have I ever seen her when she wasn't working? Well if she's taking a break, I probably shouldn't bother her and Captain Yamiyo to ask them if Daisuke is interviewing all the captains and vice captains because he actually was assigned to the paper or if he is just doing it for some sort of prank." his train of thought is then interrupted by one of the waitresses asking him for his order. "Hmm what do I want? There are too many good choices for me to chose from. Think you could just surprise me with something nice and sweet to drink and a nice pastry to complement it?" he says to the waitress as he eyes the menu and is wracked with indecision.

His eyes look over the man as he stumbled about his grey eyes cold, and calculating as they stare right though the man. It doesn't take him but less then a moment to observe everything about the way the man moved his steps far to decisive to be drunken stumbling, and while his gourd was clearly out the lack of a flush to his cheek, and the almost thought out method of trying to mimic the inebriated speech of a drunken were clear tells to Captain Yamiyo all he needed to know. Still keeping his focus on Nyx he let's her finish speaking the barest twitch upwards of the corner of his lips the only thing that may register as happiness in such a public setting at her proclamation of both seeking the position of 3rd Seat, and of achieving Bankai.
"One moment if you don't mind Nyx I gladly would wish to discuss further on your desire to achieve such a position it does warm my heart so to see you start to come into your own." He places his hands on the table pushing himself up as he slides off his seat. With his Captain Haori billowing behind him his focus turned onto Osano. Bring his hands up to his face he pushes his glass up the bridge of his nose as he looks down at the shinigami. "I would kindly ask that you show some level of decorum if I wished to deal with drunks even ones of such mediocre acting skills I would visit the Rukon district as this is neither there or a bar such behavior is ill fitting for such a reputable establishment such as this....there is a time and place for everything simply keep that in mind." Perhaps his words might come out as harsh with how he spoke with such a level tone that cut right through you like a knife, but it was clear just what level of professionalism he held everyone else to.
Turning away from the man he returned to his seat looking over briefly at the new arrival. "Sorry about that Nyx, now I would gladly see you take over the position of 3rd Seat now you will of course have to officially challenge the current 3rd Seat a formality really the man has been very absent when it comes to his duties so it will be a simple matter of paperwork a few days time, and you shall be my 3rd Seat." Folding his hands in his lap he waited to hear her response./align]

I apologize for that, but no one has been reacting all night, and I just wanted to have a little fun. I know of your reputation, so I figured you would be good for a reaction. I had no intention to ruin your evening. I will leave you to talk with this lady since I did not mean to interrupt actual division talk.” He then finishes his tea, returns the cup, and leaves the tea house. On his way out he nods a greeting to who he recognizes as the 3rd Division Vice Captain, Tanji. He decides not to do anything here as messing with someone in 3rd Division openly would be a recipe for disaster.

XXXXX After he finishes satiating his sweet tooth, Tanji hears a voice ring out in his head. "Shouldn't you be doing something more productive right now Tanji? The other day, didn't you say to yourself you would go out to the forest and train to achieve bankai today." it says to him. Despite this being the first time his zanpakuto spirit, Hanaki, has actually spoken to him, Tanji somehow instinctively knew it was him. "Really Hanaki, The first time you speak to me is so you can berate me for having a snack rather than working?" Tanji mutters to himself as he walks out of the tea house. "So you want to go to the forest right? Well you wouldn't happen to know which way the forest is from here would you Hanaki? Cus I sure as hell don't" he thinks hoping that Hanaki will actually respond, but there is no response as he starts walking away from the tea house in a random direction.
Nyx would give a small smile, nodding slowly before her eyes went to the others in the Tea House begin to leave. So one of them just...wanted attention? That was extremely strange. Oh well, she would slowly move to focus once more on Aidoneus with a smile. "Sounds wonderful. I am happy that you approve of me being the third seat, Captain." She would speak lightly before looking away shyly. Her eyes would stare at her tea before she moved to take another sip. As if to give a pause to see if the male had anything else to say to her.
"Of course I would approve I have been trying to push you to take the initiative in my own way, I am just glad to see that you are slowly coming out of your shell, and seeing yourself in almost the same light as I see you Nyx." Bringing his tea up to his lips he takes a long sip before setting it back down. "You have always been a strong shinigami, and dedicated more then most so it is only natural for me to want to see you reach your full potential it is my duty as both your Captain, and your friend to want what is best for you after all."
She slowly nodded, smiling lightly. Her pale cheeks flared in a blush before she looked away from Aidoneus shyly. He would speak again as she blinks. 'As my Captain and friend? Does he only see me as a friend?' she thought to herself as she sipped her tea once more. The cup was once again finished and Nyx slowly moved to pour herself another cup. Her eyes then looked back at the male gently. "I'm glad...you are my friend....Aidoneus.."
She could hear a large sigh in her head. If Ori was manifested at that moment, she would definitely have her arms crossed and rolling her eyes. "Stupid men....Nyxalene, make your move. You two are the only ones here!"
Nyx would take a breath before clearing her throat. "So...How has uh....your day been?" the woman asked awkwardly.
Pushed his finished tea off to the side as he set his hands down in front of him on the table those cold calculating eyes of his inspecting Nyx' closely where she see sat right across from him. He had a certain way of looking at others for most it was likely he looked right through them judging them in a moment, but with those who served under him in his Squad and especially Nyx herself he gaze was always more focused like they deserved his full attention at all times. " My day has been productive even with my new duties as a Captain the work load is not much different from when I was Vice Captain certainly their are a few more meetings, and matters of importance I have to look over, but thanks to my Squad and their dedication to my expectations." He pauses as he gives her an approving nod she after all was one of the hardest working members of the squad next to him of course. "The work load is more than manageable."
"And because of that I am able to be here enjoying, a lovely cup of tea with you." He pointed out matter of fact like leaning back in his seat his gaze briefly scanning across the otherwise empty Tea House. "I find tea to be an excellent example of what it means to be apart of the 9th Division, Clay made from earth makes the cups that hold it."He motions to his right towards the empty cup that set beside him on the table an earthen cup, covering in a light green glaze. "And not only that the leaves themselves grow from the earth and depending on the amount of light, or darkness one can change the very flavor of the leaves, water becomes the base as the leaves are mixed in to seep, fire heats the water, as well as helps extract the flavor of the leaves and the air cools the tea, so people can enjoy it. Without one of these elements, the tea cannot be consumed, nor can it fully exist. Even then if one of these elements are out of balance the entire tea is off...each of us find our own balance with our elements as well as learn how to work in unity with those around us much like Light, and Darkness are the flip side of the same coin one cannot exist without the other so to must all the elements work in harmony less they end up running rampant in disunity." He closes his eyes for a moment breathing in deep as the last words left his lips. "I believe you understand this rather well yourself."
Nyx would nod slowly as she listened to Aidoneus speak about his day. He knew how hard she worked, which was a nice thing considering that she was rarely outside of her office. Well, at least during the day. At night, Nyxalene Noctis spent her time in the shadows at the training grounds doing her own training alone. She disliked people knowing her true power, so she managed to keep herself from ever getting found out. That was how she was able to achieve Bankai so quickly.
Her lips curled up in a smile, her eyes still staring into his gently. However, as he spoke the woman tilted her head slightly. Light and Darkness? It was no secret that Aidoneus was able to use the element of Darkness and Nyx, despite her name, was able to use Light. But what exactly was he saying? Was this a riddle for her to solve?
In her head, Ori would be snickering slightly. "I...I think he is trying to confess something to you..." the spirit muttered lightly. "What do you think, Nyxalene?"
The woman blushed, clearing her throat and taking a sip of tea. "I...I do not...understand, Captain Yamiyo..." was her gentle reply, the woman looking away from him slightly.
"Well it's rather clear I meant what I said that you can't have Light without Darkness, and Vice Versa there is no place for the Darkness without the Light around." Aidoneus spoke still speaking in somewhat of a riddle, but the point he was making was very clear especially given their respective elements. Sliding his arm across the table his hand moved up over one of hers as he looked at her from where he sat. "It is why I am so proud that you are finally showing to the rest of the world the potential I have always seen in you, it is know lie when I say that you have caught my eye more then any other in my time here in the Seireitei, and for more then just what you contribute to the division." He added patting the top of her hand with his own.
Pulling his hand back away he settled in his chair. "I think I could use another cup of tea, you look to be running a bit low yourself so what do you say Nyx shall you spend more time with your captain in one of are few moments of free time together." He waved down one of the servers who were simply waiting for more people to show up. "Can we get some more Matcha tea please."
Nyxalene would sit and stare at him before looking down as his hand touched hers gently. A blush would darken upon her pale cheeks slightly. He was confessing feelings to her. She was sure of it now. Her heart would flutter slightly as he continued speaking. She honestly didn't have anything to say for a few moments. That is until he brought up the fact she was almost out of tea in her little tea pot. With a slow nod, she silently agreed to continue sitting there with him.
She swallowed before speaking. "I...I wouldn't mind spending time with you, Aidoneus.." Nyx spoke softly, looking to the hand he had patted just moments before. "I...would like to know where all this came from, however...it is all so sudden.." The dark haired woman then cleared her throat again. "I figured you would have found more interest in the Vice Captain...seeing as how she is...strong...and more...attractive."
Gave a nod towards the Tea Hostess as she poured them both a cup of fresh hot tea. Cupping the cup between his hands he brought it up to his lips deeply inhaling the scent of freshly brewed tea before gently blowing on it to cool it down ever so slightly. Taking a quick sip he closed his eyes setting the cup back down on the table before opening them back up as it looked at Nyx. "Mmh Tsubaki well I can understand why you might think that her features are found attractive to others, and she is a skill shinigami in her own right she is a vice captain after all."
Bring a hand up he gently rubbed his chin letting his sleeves fall down his arm. "However while she is certainly both attractive, and skilled those are not the only qualities I looked for, and she is not the one I have had my sights upon that would be you Nyx." Pulling his hand away he picked his cup back up taking another drink of his tea.
Toraneko arrives and makes arrangements for them to meet. She had just barely enough time to change into her home clothes for this. A lovely, if simple, kofurisode style kimono and hakama with a and a lovely Dianthus Chinensis hair pin. Dianthus flowers being known as flowers of the gods and symbols of various virtues such as love, passion, and admiration among other things. Her make up is pretty simple with a light blush and and nothing else. Then again, that blush could be from something else. She stashes her travel bag under the table in the private tea room that they have rented. All of the food and tea has been pre-ordered and is to be brought in when all parties are present. The door opens and Sasuga enters. She smiles up at him and gives him a big hug, "Gifu, I am so glad to see you!"
He smiles down at her and gives her a return hug. "Dear, we still need to talk about some important stuff."
She looks up at him with concern. "But not now. We have more pressing matters to attend," he says as he takes a seat.
She smiles at him and is glad that this conversation is being put off. She has heard various rumors from the retainers that come over to help them out in their apartment. While she loves him dearly and trusts him with her life.
"Yes, father." She takes a seat on his side of the table and patiently awaits their guest. "Father, may I ask what this meeting is about?"
Sasuga smiles down at her and pats her head like he has done so many times before. "You will find out in a little while, Takara-chan." He gently repairs her hair and slides a second hair pin in her hair. "There, a matching clip for your little dianthus."
A soft purr escapes her throat as she feels warm and comforted by his gentle hands and sweet gesture of parental care. He was the first person to show her care or kindness. He was the one who saved her from her abusive family and took her in. He was the one who gave her a name - a name that indicated how much he values her because Takara means 'Treasure'. She adopted the Tora from the house she would inherit and neko because she is a cat girl for her public name. No, this precious name is one she keeps within the family. It is her true name after all. A name that she values above any other moniker she could ever bear. "Thank you, Gifu."
"If you keep looking concerned all the time your face will stay like that," he gently teases her. "What I will say to you about what we are talking about is that I am very proud of you, Takara-chan. Please remember that. Papa loves you very dearly. Please, do give yourself some slack and just enjoy being young."
Toraneko relaxes and gets comfortable, thankful that the restaurant has provided low chairs instead of cushions for sitting seiza. While she is well practiced since a very young age, she still prefers chairs over it. "I love you, too, Papa."

Nara was promptly on time when she arrived at the fuji garden tea house. She was dressed quite different than everyone there, who seemed to be in somewhat fancy japanese attire. Nara wore her finest suit of armor, polished to a reflective gleam. Her hair was done up in braids that were tied behind her head with a length of black leather cord. Simple and effective. Her vice captain badge was displayed prominently as her cloak clasp. She wore her sword, also polished, even though most people were unarmed in this place. Nara did not go anywhere without her sword. She was always prepared to do her duty, and protect the weak from any threat that might arise.
As she entered, she looked around, knowing only vaguely what Sasuga Hi looked like. His elaborate style of dress and attending family members were a dead giveaway of his position, and so he was not very difficult to find. Nara took a deep breath, and swallowed her nerves, before she approached, bowing deeply.
”Good afternoon, Sir. I am Nara Ellerose, the Eldest child of the Ellerose Clan. I am pleased to have recieved your invitation from your daughter. She fought with a fierceness and fearlessness that I would be proud to have in my own division.”
Nara’s heart was pounding. How would this Sasuga react to her. Her family had caused deep pain to his family, so much was plain to everyone here. She didn’t know if they would react poorly, or associate her with the sins of her uncle. Clan Ellerose and Clan Hi had much bad blood. Nara felt the shame of her family’s guilt. She felt like she didn’t belong here. She felt naked and exposed, despite her heavy load of armor.
Sasuga notices the young red head enter the building. She stands out like a suit of armor in his seldom used armory - which was appropriate enough considering that she is actually wearing armor so no bonus points there. "Welcome! I am glad that you could come." The ones who are present with him are his youngest son, Seifuu, and his oldest daughter, Toraneko. Seifuu is dressed as a novice monk, but at least in his nicer robes. Flanking the three of them are Mitsuhide and Yukimura, his guards. Though they are not those two from history, and only took the public names for the coolness points. "This is my youngest son, Seifuu, and my oldest daughter, Toraneko." He subtly flicks Seifu's knee and Seifuu's expression drops back into a more compliant and humble expression. Tora continues to up at her Nara with her same wide eyed innocence that she has had before. Seifuu is older than her, by a handful of years. She, herself, is eighteen and fresh faced. Sasuga himself has a kind, but serious expression with a hint of fatigue. "Too long have things gone unaddressed. This is causing problems for everybody concerned. This is not something I like. Particularly since I have recently had to deal with a retainer who was acting out of place by .. ugh ... I hate to admit this, one of my other retainers caught him and several others plotting a retaliation. I will not stand for this, because it is against my orders. We need to take care of this before anybody on either side decides to take matters into their own hands." He sighs and takes a sip of tea. "This is good tea." He ponders how much to admit. "The ring leader has been punished and I hope nothing has happened on your end." He sighs and shakes his head. "Nara Ellarose, I have read your history and files. There is nothing but honor to be found in you. I respect that. I do not see you as your uncle, but you as yourself. You are not your uncle and he has already been dealt with. As far as I am concerned our families can start with a blank slate if you so desire."
