Bio: Tsuki lived a normal life of any noble. She was trained from a young age the traits of her clan, as well as the way of a sword. She was a fast learner, and picked up on the instruments faster then her brothers. She always seemed to have a knack for one instrument over all of the others. And that was the Flute. She was able to pick up on and learn much harder pieces then on any other instrument. One night, after she was about 20 years of age, she started having dreams about a young girl with long blonde hair that was usually braided in the front part of her hair at the ends. She had bright blue eyes and always wore headphones. She had a choker that had a music note on it. She had this reoccurring dream for several weeks before she finally told her parents. They immediately sent her to the Academy. There it was easy for her to make friends. She was a likable person, having an ease an carefree manner to her that let people relax and feel at ease around her. Shortly after her time in the academy, she found her Shikai. She was finally able to hear the name the Zanpaktou spirit had been trying to tell her. Once she found that, the rest was easy. As it turned out, her Zanpaktou released state was the exact thing she excelled at. The Flute. Once she found that, she was able to breeze through the academy.

Bio:"To defend and protect, the most important thing one can do" it was the first lesson her father taught her. The first advice was to never lose sight of herself, the sweet caring girl she was. That was the main reason her father regretted her life choices, if only she had listened.
Kitiara was born to a retired commissioner who fell in love with a con woman, despite trying to make it work her mothers habits tanked the marriage. The two began fighting a lot, leaving the two young kids confused. Her mother would storm out leaving her father to comfort them, pretending it didn't bother him. Eventually it all boiled up to a massive fight, her stunts were to much, leading her father to giving an ultimatum. Her mother abandoned her, stealing her brother when she fled. Her father was distraught but no matter how hard he searched he couldnt manage to catch her. The two went through a distant divorce and despite her career habits the courts agreed to leave each kid where they were. After a while her father stopped talking about her mother, and even her brother because of the pain. Kit made sure to help out and do well in school, being a good child so her father did not worry. However like most teens she got into a little trouble, rebelling over something trivial but seemed so important.
She snuck out of the house with a friend to go to a party, her friend had been drinking and wrecked the car. No one was hurt but seeing her father that upset changed her, helping her get back on the right path. Despite her father's disapproval Kit decided to go into the academy to become an officer just like he was. She worked hard and did not let peoples opinion or bias stop her. She moved to a local force that did not fall under her father to ensure she got fair treatment. For a few years she worked to help with a variety of cases and even some promotions. She worked well with her fellow officers even with switching partners often.
She had been promoted to a special task force when trouble started. She had a new partner who was a little odd but seemed harmless. Kit was one of those women who threw themselves into their careers and left no time for romance or even friends really. A new case came through, a serial killer that had been in other districts of the city had moved to their part. Kit volunteered to be on the team despite arguments about it being dangerous. She worked for several months trying to help put the person away, but he seemed to be one step ahead of them. Until one night they were interrogating a witness who gave them some information. Kit and her partner went to the run down building to investigate. As they began sweeping the building Kit called for backup, getting a bad feeling. As they reached the top floor Kit heard noises despite her partner hearing nothing. Kit kicked a door in and found one of the missing women. As Kit went to free her the woman started to panic. It was the last thing Kit seen as someone hit her from behind.
Backup arrived but it was to late, the victim was the only one left. For weeks they tried figuring out what had happened. Her partner claimed she went alone and was distraught. Little did they know what kind of person he really was. Kit got first hand experience what the victims went through, knowing as the days went by he would kill her and move on to another. One day he came in, acting different and she knew it was coming. She had been reserving all her energy and when he went to undo her binding she fought back. A struggle erupted and she ran. The chase led around the hideout, up to the top floor where the floors were caving in. She was willing to jump over letting him kill her. She ended up shot before she could, she tried crawling away as he came for her. She scrambled to grab anything and found a rusted piece of metal and stabbed him. Little did she know the reason he was acting different was they had found his new hideout. Kit managed to ensure he died before passing herself minutes before help got there.
Kit received a hero's funeral as she went to a new plane. She learned about what came after and those who kept the peace. It took some work but she gained the chance to serve and protect again.

Kyokiyama is rather introverted, keeping to himself in most instances and more often than not using that time for self reflection, training, or even meditation. Despite what one might assume, this does not mean he dislikes the company of others or social events, not even growing aggravated by such things, but rather is simply a preference of the shinobi. While he will accept inventions to be more sociable with others, he will of course consider turning it down in favor of time to himself. This is mostly thanks to him not being too used to the act of being social, having been trained most of his life in order to reach the realm of Ninjutsu he currently resides in. Despite this, he will at the very least make an effort to be social when others may want his company. Unfortunately his inexperience in social aptitude is made quickly apparent by his very present silence, or otherwise concise manner of speaking. Indeed, even if it is only him and another person, it is common for Kyokiyama to be silent for almost uncomfortable lengths of time, only speaking if the current topic interests him enough to actually speak about it. But even when that happens, he seems to be, almost by habit, always straight to the point, speaking no more than necessary before going silent once again. He admits that this is a part of him he does not particularly care for, believing that there are benefits to having longer conversations, though unfortunately his attempts at such are either always too short, and by the off chance can become a long accidental babble. What he does count as a blessing, but can see as another dagger to his social skills, is his composed nature. He always appears to be calm, almost emotionlessly so, it is even prevalent in how he speaks. Indeed, his composure is something considerably strong, nothing ever seems to be able to faze him, save for intense emotions that even he cannot hold back, rare occurrences which he will scold himself for when the timing is appropriate. His composure can easily make him appear almost stone-like in how he reacts to things, never fully wavering as his calmness allows him to think rationally and practically. Though as mentioned before, he understands how others may see this as another point in the difficulty of interacting with him.
[Caring, Observant, Critical]
Despite how cold he seems to be, Kyokiyama is actually quite caring towards others; though he may not show it, he can feel concern, especially for those he considers to be close to him. As his stoicism and “hardboiled” nature often prevents him openly showing concern, he will rather opt for indirect approaches, giving out advice or a task to someone that may lead to them feeling more confident about an issue, and overall become comforted. Sometimes he can be fairly drastic in this method of comfort, suddenly turning into a villain or a punching bag for them to unleash their frustrations on and reach a conclusion that will bring them clarity. While he will not openly comfort someone or show them that his methods are a way for him to comfort them, he will challenge their resolve, often through the aforementioned drastic means, forcing their eyes open to a solution or feeling of growth when they may be unable to, checking if they themselves can continue whatever journey they may have put themselves on. He will continue to push them toward a resolution that benefits them, even if he has to become cruel and callous to their feelings and hardships, not showing them an ounce of pity. This is because he truly does believe in the potential within others, wanting to see them reach it and become even greater from it; while he may not go about it in the warmest of ways, he will simply not allow someone, especially someone dear to him, quit on themselves when their potential for growth in character, heart, and strength is limitless. He does believe in the power behind such things as comradery, but is convinced that the kind of friendship that has a comrade rushing to their friend’s side whenever they struggle is foolheartedly, that true friendship promotes growth in each other, and holds a firm belief in their potential and ability to overcome a challenge. Of course, if things are truly dire, Kyokiyama will rush to his ally’s aid, immediately doing so. In order to properly assess the best way to achieve his method of comfort, Kyokiyama has become fairly observant, making good use of his perception to notice and spot any flaws or changes in a person’s emotions or overall character. Once he notices a potential flaw, Kyokiyama will begin to observe and prod at this fault as he gains a better understanding of it, often silently watching the individual from a distance. He will begin to grade and evaluate just how bad their fault or current state of duress is, and once he has accurately gauged it, he will begin to make steps towards helping them in his own way. It is because he can’t risk being soft on someone that he can be very critical of their fault, showing to be very adverse to such a thing, especially if said fault or duress is influencing them in extreme, and potentially dangerous ways. Just as he is blunt, his criticism shows no signs of going easy on someone, always being tough on them and even tougher depending on just how bad of a situation the person is in. He will be straightforward with them on how much he disapproves, making his disappointment clear with them. But once again, this is because he is a caring individual, and does feel pain when he sees someone he cares about suffer, even more so if he cannot do anything about it.
[Gutsy, Ardent, Diligent]
If there is one thing someone will quickly notice, it’s that Kyokiyama can be very gutsy, showing bravery likened to that of a hero. Referring to it as “Guts,” Kyokiyama’s courage never seems to waver, always giving him a will that allows him to push him head first into challenges that would make others cower and give him. He’s gutsy enough to openly call out and otherwise insult people in a higher position of power than his own, it allows him to survive moments of pain and despair, and face an adversary that could be considered hopeless. To Kyokiyama, Guts is something that all of mankind, and even animals, have, it is something that can grow and be lit ablaze to heat up one’s potential and allow them to overcome challenges they at some point would consider hopeless. It is because of this that Kyokiyama will often push others when they may lose hope, knowing that they can surpass their limits and turn their situation into something they can grow from. Indeed, this strong belief in potential can make Kyokiyama fairly ardent in most situations, showing to be passionate in his hopes in others, telling them to power through their hardship with hard work and guts, saying so with fire in his voice and heart. Oftentimes during combat, his passion can even show him letting out passionate phrases, speeches, and even battle cries, allowing his passion to help fuel his spirit and actions. If there is another thing he admires, other than guts, it’s diligence, acting on this admiration by being diligent himself. Indeed, once Kyokiyama begins to work on something, he will always put his whole effort behind it as though he was putting his life at stake on completing it. Even when he puts his full effort into something, there is no doubt he will try to exceed his limits during any given task, attempting to go above and beyond with his performance and success.It is because of this that Kyokiyama will often jump at the chance to compete against someone who may be better than him at something. This is not a love for competition, but rather the belief that hard struggles will always pave a way forward to growth, that taking the easier path is never the answer, but rather the thorny and dangerous path is the better of the two. He will always see through what he started, never showing much hesitation as he believes it would be cowardly to do so. He always suggests and promotes diligence to others, usually criticizing those who are so eager to do things easy, when they may not achieve any growth from it.
[Aloof, Dishonest about himself, Over strains]
Unfortunately, as supportive as he appears to be, Kyokiyama is fairly aloof, almost to a mysterious degree as he only says what he believes to be necessary, that includes openly criticizing someone, answering a question, or suggesting a path that will give his group the most rewarding success. He often will keep his own company, keeping a distance away from groups he may be involved with while also keeping an open ear for anything he may disagree with. Kyokiyama will usually brush off invitations to social gatherings or activities that are not mandatory or do not align with his interests, claiming to not be suited for such things, of course he will go if someone he deeply cares about may find themselves less than optimal without his presence there, not wanting to be a subject distress. This aloofness as well makes him fairly dishonest about himself, never letting on that something may be causing him to suffer in some way or another. Unless it may take his life or his confidence in any of his values, Kyokiyama simply will not speak up about whatever may aile him. This stubborn lack of confiding in others is a flaw Kyokiyama himself is very aware of, but he simply won’t fix it, as he would rather put his energy into helping others before helping himself. Though reckless, he is very adamant about this, refusing to allow others to worry about him when there are larger things done, especially when someone’s life may be on the line. As such he will, he will feign wellness even when he is clearly in a terrible condition. It is along with this that he tends to over strain himself, taking on much more than he should, even more so when the situation is dire. He believes that he needs to do this in order to make his words and actions more believable, that if he himself doesn’t try to overcome his limits, no one will take his encouragement to do so seriously. He has no interest in being a source of inspiration or courage in others, as he would rather they themselves serve that role for each other and themselves, but rather wants to be living proof of the power of guts, hard work, and potential. Even if he’s bloodied and at death’s door, Kyokiyama will continue to push and overburden himself so that others will not have to do the latter themselves, that his role in life is to be a pillar that will ever support his comrades.

Bio: There was once a shinigami, a well accomplished one of the twelfth division of the seireitei. She was a kind woman, one who was adored by many of her peers for not only her skills in science, but her skill with the sword as well. She was in charge of researching captured Hollow, to see if there were any recurring natural weaknesses found in them besides what was already known. She was passionate about her job, greatly adoring the chance to uncover the secrets of the Shinigami’s enemy. Her large family was proud of her for her accomplishments, for what she strove to do. However, that would change as a secret of hers would be unveiled to the entirety of the Soul Society. When alone, she had eaten parts of whatever Hollow she was experimenting on, believing this would unlock greater power in her as a Shinigami. When discovered, she went on a rampage, killing those she once called her peers, having gone mad from her own research. It would be her Captain that would take her life, ending it in a single stroke. For her crimes, her family would be punished and ostracized, forced to wear masks that would conceal their heads, wear clothing that would hide their bodies, and wrap bandages around any exposed skin their clothing couldn’t cover. The family would be regarded as monsters from the acts of a single member of their blood. Ashamed, the family would carry on this tradition even when the seireitei had eventually freed them of the crime. The latest of the bloodline is Kyokiyama, a large man who had shown to be exceptional with his sword skill, even among his family. He desired to return the pride his family had lost, the pride he desired to have for himself. Thus he would join the Gotei, becoming a member of Squad 9 and starting his journey.
