Perhaps she has a crush on the captain. “Can you tell me more about the captain? I only know their name and not much else beyond that.” He stands there for a little bit before adding more. “Yourself as well. I want to get to know everyone I will be working with in this division. It is always a good idea to get to know your fellow division members.” He stands straight and looks her in the eyes as he speaks to her.

XXXRin enters her division, pulling the haori around her petite form tight as she walked towards her garden. The sound of the blade clicking with each step. A soft sigh escaped her lips, a breath of exasperation and longing. She needed some time to decompress. Not only had she lost a dear family member. Her sister had lost a bit of her spirit and now she had dealt with the stress of bearing witness to a duel to the death. The captain was highly distracted. She barely noticed the new member and her own vice-captain as she entered the division.
Blind eyes stared beyond the two of them as she turned to face them. Their reishi was beautifully pure. Hida, the vice-captain, was a brilliant star not unlike Kazuki. But there was a reserved power to it. It could shine brightly in the darkness, but it was calm. Collected. Sayuri's was as pure as the driven snow. Unblemished. It was truly lovely to behold in the void of her space. An immaculate mote of energy with an untarnished chime. "Hello, I apologize for my absence." Her lilting voice broke the silence between their discussion as she bowed at the waist. When she stood straight again, the tresses of her long, dark hair falling into her face. Several strands remained, curled around her button nose, even after she hooked a finger and pulled them behind her ear.
Sayuri would hum a bit as she tilted her head. A smile would slowly form on her face as her pale cheeks flushed more. "Captain Akagi is strong and very wise. Beautiful in every way." The young woman gave a sigh, as if her mind went into a dreamy like state before speaking again. "B-But I mean that as in her strength is...is so....amazing. She doesn't let anything bring her down." The blonde woman spoke, blinking as she felt another presence enter the Headquarters, causing her to turn around quickly. Her smile brightened a bit as she moved over to Rin.
"You returned! How was everything? Did things go all right?" Sayuri asked lightly, moving to be beside the other woman. "The new vice captain has arrived....he was very interested in getting to know you." She said lightly still, her voice stuttering slightly in shyness. Her face was now a deep red color as she stood with Akagi Rin. It was obvious the woman was rather smitten with the Captain even if the other woman did not know it.

He returns the captain’s bow with a deeper one, then stands up after a couple of moments. He notices Sayuri’s face as she stands by the captain, and wonders how the captain could not notice the blush covering her face. He then notices the captain’s eyes, which were clearly blind and saw how. Perhaps he should help out his fellow division members by subtly bringing this to the captain’s attention. “Greeting, Captain Akagi. I have just been transferred to your division as your vice captain, and wanted to introduce myself as early as possible. I am Kani Hida, former first division third seat, now your vice captain here in the seventh. And I must say, your third seat here was very eager for your return it seemed. And she had such wonderful things to say about you as well. I feel honored to serve under you as your new vice captain. As well as the other members of this division.” He gives another respectful bow, to both Captain Akagi and Sayuri, both bows of the appropriate depth, or maybe a little deeper in fact, for their position in relation to him.

XXXRin heard only the tail-end of the previous conversation as her feet slid across the woven soft rush of the main building's floor. She had left her sandals at the door, the only barrier between her delicate feet and the fiber being the black tabi socks that she wore. "...She doesn't let anything bring her down." Was the only part of the chat she picked up.
"Yes, everything went well." The response was short as if her patience was thin or as if she was short on rest. Though Rin was not aware of Sayuri's expression, she could hear the warbling in her voice; The stuttering that originated from her bashfulness. Rin placed a hand on Sayuri's arm, the pads of her slender fingers pressing against the pale girl's ashen flesh. "I welcome you vice-captain Kani. I look forward to your work." Rin replied to the introduction with another bow, only slightly inclining her upper body.
Slowly Rin began to walk towards her garden, a vibrant secluded area of the division as she spoke to other two members of her division. "Oh? What did the kind miss Hanashi say?" There was a slightly playful smirk tugging at Rin's lips, the faded expression a ghost of her normally peaceful smile. Something was clearly bothering the captain, but both the interactions with her subordinates, the smell of dew, and the scent of blossoming wildflowers was calming her. She was finding it easier to center herself in this irenic ambiance.
Sayuri would smile a bit as she looked to the Vice Captain. That is until she felt the softness of Rin's fingertips on her skin, causing her pale flesh to turn a rosy color. Her elongated ears, elf-like in appearance, flicked slightly in response to her Captain's question. "J-Just how strong and how you are a w-wonderful Captain, my lady." She said lightly. Yuri had always had a strange way of talking. Perhaps that was due to her previous life. She couldn't remember where she came from, sadly. But at least it was easy to adapt to this new life.
The woman would then move to lightly place her free hand on Rin's gently. "Are you all right?" She asked lightly towards Rin. "You seem tired, my lady Akagi...perhaps we should sit somewhere within the garden and have some tea to relax you?" The woman would say gently towards her higher up, gentle fingers lightly running along the dark haired woman's hand in a comforting manner.

He wonders if maybe she is just friendly like that. He follows the two of them to the garden. “Hanashi had nothing but good things to say about you Captain Akagi. Very good things in fact.” He stands a little stiffly in the garden. As Hanashi comments on the captain’s state, he makes note of the things she mentions. He would need to learn these little things to be able to better read those he will be working with. “Is there something wrong, Captain Akagi?”

XXXRin moved to the garden, walking a familiar path and heading to a polished stone bench. She sat on a particular spot; The place where she choose to sit was scuffed as if she sat there everyday. "Thank you for the compliments." She said with a smile, her head turned in Sayuri's direction. The rings beneath Rin's eyes were apparent when she faced them. "I am just very tired. Thank you for your concern." She reached out, her hand blindly brushing against the other woman before being grasped. Rin could feel small fingers pressing into her skin, the touch gentle and delicate.
"I have had a long couple of days." She breathed out, inclining her head. Her face turned towards the sunlight, the warmth of the star's rays washing over her pale skin. Rin always wondered if it was the same sun as the mortal realm, or simply a reflection. Was soul society only a mirror of Karakura? Or were they connected completely, entirely? It was just one more thing to contemplate on her ever-growing plate. "Just need to relax for a bit. I will probably retire in a bit to..meditate. Or perhaps practice my techniques." Rin inhaled deeply as she sat there, taking in all the scents around her. One, in particular, was surprisingly sweet and floral. Though she did not recognize it as one of her plants. Her vacant gaze once more turned towards Sayuri. Was it her? It certainly wasn't something clinging to Rin, she smelled perpetually of rain.
Sayuri would watch Rin with a gentle gaze, flowers swaying slightly in the garden as she sat down beside the woman. She had always had a special connection to flora and fauna. Probably something from her past life. A blush would continue to shine on the woman's pale face, following the captain's gaze up at the sun for a moment. The warmth felt wonderful against her skin. She didn't notice the dark haired woman gazing at her in the beginning, but once she did notice...her cheeks flared a deeper red color.
"No problem..." She muttered lightly, her long ears flicking slightly as Sayuri replied to the other woman. "Practicing your techniques would just make you more tired, wouldn't you think?" The blonde female would speak lightly still. "I could make you tea? If you would like..." Her eyes would then looked down to where her hands were still touching the superior's arm. Her fingers slowly moved to gently trace against the flesh of Rin's arm. "If you are having issues sleeping...I do have some herbal teas to help with sleeping."
Her eyes then looked back up to the Vice Captain, completely forgetting he was even present.

Hida bows to his captain and speaks. “Hopefully I will be able to help with that by being able to take some of the work off of your shoulders. I await your commands and aim to help in anyway I can, Captain Akagi.” He then bows to Hanashi as well. “I will take my leave and return to be getting acquainted with the headquarters of my new division. It was a pleasure to meet both of you, and I look forward to working with both of you.” He then leaves the garden to continue learning and memorizing the layout of the headquarters, as well as introducing himself to any division members that he has not met yet.

XXXRin nods as Hida turns to leave, a soft smile tugging at the corner of her mouth. Such dedication was to be commended she noted, he would make a valuable subordinate and one day a good captain. "Tea would be wonderful Hanashi-kun." Rin's smile returned in full earnest. Yes, tea would be grand. It had been a few days since she had taken the time to sit down and enjoy a relaxing cup of tea.
Sayuri then mentioned lack of sleep. It, for lack of better words, took Rin by surprise. She had not been sleeping. At all. Her only respite had been through meditation over the last few days and that was not enough to satiate her desire to rest. "..sleep would be good." Rin whispered softly, her head lulling to the side. At this point the captain wasn't even aware of her own actions; The fatigue of days hitting her all at once as she rested her head against Sayuri's shoulder. Mussy tresses of deep oceanic hair fell across the unfortunate girl; Rin's pony-tail cascading like a water-fall across Sayuri's back. The captain's calming scent, the perfume of a serene lake, or babbling brook filling the air around her.
