Keke dodged the dragon's strikes, again and again, his wings blazing with pain as he tried to be acrobatic and agile in the air. Still, somehow, he managed not to be squashed against the cliff wall like a fly, and was able to spit one of his glass daggers at the soft spot. Of course, he missed, but the attack made a satisfying tinkling sound as it shattered onto the ground.
When Xenosa went for the eyes, Keke wondered why he hadn't thought of that. It was such a clever strategy, after all.
He glided over the dragon's remains, the boulders tumbling free of it's dissolving body, and finally, swooped up to land – with great relief – near Xenosa.
“Yes!” he said, out of breath, “It rather was!” He grinned at her, “Look at you! They barely scratched you! You're such a marvel in the air!
