While there would be good fortune in that the ball managed to catch Lotad without much hassle and she'd be able to get one last ball to try and contribute more to everyone's efforts, Amaranth would find her fortune was just as bad as it had been good. The successful capture did nothing to quell her rampaging Butterfree, and as he was now, there was no way she could recall him. Either she'd have to knock him out personally and risk not being able to help further, or potentially risk everyone else by allowing her Pokemon to remain out to potentially help in more battles. At least, until the poison became too much on him.
Opting to try and go for a third option, she found herself lunging at Butterfree, grabbing and holding him as tightly as she could to prevent him from moving about too much. Despite this, he wrestled again and again to escape her grip, making her travel back to get another Pokeball much harder than it really should be, let alone trying to resume her search and hope her Pokemon didn't break free to start turning the seas red in his fury.

Amaranth's searching would end as she suddenly tripped, forced to let go of Butterfree as she hit the ground. Her frenzied bug immediately turned around and glared at the Shroomish on the ground, apparently being subject to the hybrid's difficulties in doing much more than prevent a rampage that she now couldn't stem any longer. The poor, shadowified Pokemon didn't have a chance before more shadowy storms blew through the ship with more frequency than some brat playing music, sending the Shroomish around and around, slamming into a wall before the winds ceased and it was able to get back up. Shaking itself back and forth, it got to its feet and leaped after Butterfree to slam into it with its Shadow Rush. Though Butterfree would move back, the attack did little more than rile him up further as the poison started to slowly take its toll.
[Shroomish: 3/10]
"Butterfree, calm down!" She spoke up in an effort to try and get her Pokemon's frenzy to end, but her call would fall on deaf ears. She really wondered just how much Butterfree would even listen now, especially as he tried to ram into her. She barely managed to dodge in time, watching as Shroomish launched into another Shadow Rush to try and harm Butterfree further. It managed to knock him down onto the ground as a result of the surprise attack, spores scattering from Shroomish upon impact and leaving the bug's actions more sudden and jerky.
Apparently, paralysis was beginning to take hold as well, mixing with the poison to make a really nasty combination of effects. Despite this, Butterfree managed to get back up enough to unleash a storm for the umpteenth time. Amaranth wasn't sure if he was using it for the sake of doing as much damage as possible or to try and destroy the ship, but she had a feeling she was going to have little choice but to stop him soon if the paralysis and poison didn't for her.
[Shroomish: 6/10]
Shroomish would prove to be sturdy in its own right, weathering the storm and using it to gain momentum to ram Butterfree with a third Shadow Rush. A loud cry from it would prove that he wanted to see to it that Butterfree didn't get back up, but with the paralysis gripping him, he wasn't going anywhere anyway. Fearing that Shroomish was on the verge of entering Hyper Mode, Amaranth opted to cut her losses and threw the Pokeball she had left while keeping an eye on her Butterfree.

A sigh of relief could be heard as Shroomish was caught in the ball, Amaranth watching as it wobbled back and forth for a while. It finally would click when it stopped, the hybrid panting as she went to pick it up. She'd look back at Butterfree afterward, seeing that he wasn't about to do much more. Paralyzed, poisoned, and forced out of whatever fight he had thanks to Hyper Mode, she was finally able to recall him. Knowing she wouldn't be able to make any further captures, she decided to take herself to a safer part of the ship while the rest continued their efforts, let alone mentally recover from the endeavor.

With the Tropius safely confined in the ball Sub let out a sigh of relief and soon recalled Allen as he began to sense the beginnings of the virus taking over the Pokemon, his chi slowly becoming tainted. As the man walked over to pick up the Pokeball he noticed the banana he lost earlier a few feet away. "Nice!" He cheered excitedly as he picked up the banana and walked off with it and the Shadow Tropius's ball in hand.

....of course, Rhyme's going to be suffering some Deja-vu as she spots the shadows before the pokemon comes charging out of the dark. The Carvanha barely misses her and Joshua, the two dodging out of the way. The Treeko glaaaaares at the enemy Shadow pokemon, and Rhyme shivers at the dark energy radiating off the two of them. She'll pull herself back behind her pokemon, who briefly looks over her shoulder...
Funny. He's never given her that look before. Could he...be warming up? Trusting her? "Joshua! We need to slow it down! Mega Drain!" She knew it was a half-chance of him listening, but her luck continued with the Carvanha taking full hit from the attack and temporarily going down.
Shadow Rush was it's retaliation, and both of them get out of the way. Joshua was angry enough to initiate a Screech, followed by a Shadow Rush of it's own, whereas Rhyme realized she had to fix things. Armed with the pokeballs, she grabs one and tosses it at the other Pokemon. If she can't catch this...she's going to have to knock it out of commission or get out, in case of counter-attacks.

Kaya looked over the map of the ship for a moment, trying to decide where he would be best suited to start this job. Given that the only Shadow Pokemon he was in possession of was his Sylveon, he was limited in what he would have highly effective attacks against. However, he knew he could count on her strength so long as she could resist the influence of the virus.
Finally making his decision, he walked off, making his way into the environmental chambers. It didn't take long to reach them and he picked one at random, having decided to just go with his gut when he got there. He'd barely made it through the door before something made an attempt at his life.

Dista was quick to encounter her first Shadow Pokemon as it sat in the corner of the room, menacingly, amid a flurry of cobwebs that attempted to disguise it. Unfortunately, no one had informed the cocoon that its thread was white while it was purple. That ruined the effect greatly. So while Dista fought to keep herself from bursting into a fit of laughter, the Silcoon shot a line of webbing up to the ceiling before leaping into the air and swinging towards her and her Chatot. Diving out of the way, Dista watched as her Chatot hopped off her shoulder to hover in place and just happen to intercept the swinging Silcoon, impact increased by a well-timed Shadow Rush from their opponent. Rolling onto her feet clumsily, Dista gave a quick snap of her fingers as she saw the Silcoon swinging around again to slam into her.
A Boomburst erupted from the spot on the ground where Reverb had crash landed, smacking into the Silcoon and sending the Bug Pokemon swinging in a different direction. Namely, towards the ceiling. Watching as the Silcoon slammed into the roof and visibly left a few cracks in its surface, Dista kept up her snapping. A flurry of sound-based attacks came from the Chatot, ranging from Chatters to Echoed Vocies, all with one intent: keep sending the Silcoon crashing into the ceiling. Drawing for a Pokeball, Dista was unable to call out any warning as another wad of webbing shot out of the Silcoon and forced Reverb's beak closed. As he was trying to fire another Boomburst. The attack, still continuing as if it had been fired, came to a sudden and violent conclusion as the attack erupted at the front of the Chatot's beak. While it ripped the webbing off, it also succeeded in firing the Chatot off like a rocket into the neighboring rooms of the ship.
Not very accepting of this change to their battle, Dista decided to charge towards the pendulum-mounted Silcoon and watched as the thing quickly gnawed through the String Shot keeping it suspended to the ceiling and fired off a new strand to swing and meet her. Unable to evade the attack, she took the volleyball-sized projectile straight to the gut. A combination of a gagging noise and a cough erupted from Dista as she collapsed. Struggling in a breath as the Silcoon swung back from the impact, the mute girl gave an almighty leap where she grabbed onto the String Shot suspension line. Yanking the line from the ceiling and cinching her grip on the rope, she quickly proceeded to twirl the Silcoon on the end a few times before slamming the Shadow Pokemon into the ground repeatedly, taking great arcs for her swings to provide the maximum amount of momentum. The thing felt like a steel ball when it had hit her and she wanted payback. Quickly grabbing out a Pokeball, she hurled the device at her improvised weapon and waited for the results.

The Silcoon only had a split second as Dista's grip slacked on the rope whens he went for a Pokeball, and the Shadow Pokemon used it masterfully. Gnawing through the strand grasped in Dista's hand, the Silcoon swung itself away as the Pokeball passed through the location it had previously occupied to sail away through the bowels of the ship. Quickly palming another of the capturing devices, she waited for the Silcoon to come swinging back. And swinging back it came, gathering greater speed than before as it gathered the energy for another Shadow Rush empowered smash. Throwing her Pokeball as the Silcoon drew into point blank range, Dista suddenly felt a lack of confidence in her plan.

Dista quickly found her fears unfounded as the Pokeball sailed straight and true, slamming into the Silcoon just as it reached the bottom of its swing to take down Dista. The Silcoon was barely able to struggle against its capture due to the suddenness of the capturing. Looking at the Pokeball for a minute before nudging it with her foot to check for any possible bad things to occur, the mute Snagem grabbed the Pokeball and set off to find where her Chatot had been shot to. Better to not leave Reverb alone too long with these Shadow Pokemon.

Silver wasn't even really sure why she had tagged along in the first place. Maybe because it gave her something to do? Or maybe she just thought it'd be nice to get away for a bit? Whatever the reason, Silver was of course now stuck helping out with the round up. Her only problem? She didn't currently have any shadow Pokemon. Although she didn't want to risk her Pokemon getting infected, she had to help. She was already here after all, how much harm could this whole thing really cause, anyhow? The Houndoom hybrid fiddled with her pokeballs, trying to decide who she was willing to let get infected if it really came down to it.
Kaede was out of the question, she had promised the little Growlithe that she wouldn't let her get hurt again. Nux, her Cubone, was still so young - how could she possibly let him become shadowfied? That left only Hortense, her Noctowl. Her most treasured partner would have to take the fall this time. Silver just hoped that these shadow Pokemon would be easy enough to deal with.

A shadow Taillow would come swooping down at Silver, causing the hybrid to start swatting at it with her claws. Of course this would simply anger it further, causing it to screech and dive at the hybrid a second time. Gritting her teeth, Silver would release her Noctowl, hoping that she'd be able to help. Hortense would flare her wings out as soon as she was released, letting out a hoot as she fluffed up her feathers, making herself look even bigger. The Taillow would shrink back, but only for a moment. "Hortense, Hypnosis! See if we can get this little bird down without actually hitting it," Silver would growl out. The Noctowl would give a hoot of agreeance, staring down the Taillow with a rather hypnotic gaze. However, the Taillow would avoid eye contact with Hortense, instead diving straight at the larger bird while she was focused on her 'attack'.
Hortense would be hit smack dab in the middle of her stomach with a Shadow Rush, the Taillow practically smirking as it made contact. The Noctowl would shudder, and she would falter in flight, dropping down slightly before she would right herself again. But of course something just wasn't quite right anymore. The Noctowl could feel what seemed like a buzzing sensation in her head, something that was messing with her senses. But, rather than letting it get her down, she'd try to fight it. However, Silver knew that Hortense had gotten hit, she had heard the thud that had quietly sounded when the Taillow smacked into her Noctowl. Knowing that Hortense had already made contact with the smaller bird, the hybrid decided to change tactics. "Let's see what a Take Down can do!" Silver would call out.
[Taillow: 3/10]
Hortense would dive-bomb the smaller bird, driving it into the floor. Having made contact with the Taillow again, Hortense would feel another twinge, still unable to fully understand it. The Owl Pokemon just knew that it felt like something else was taking over, something dark and dangerous. Seeing as Hortense seemed to be hesitating to make another move, the Taillow would hit Hortense with another Shadow Rush, knocking the Noctowl down a peg. It was in that moment though that something in the Noctowl snapped. After all, how dare this pitiful excuse for a bird mess with the almighty Hortense, eh? Taking matters into her own hands (er... claws?), Hortense woudl almost immediately retaliate with her own Shadow Rush, the Taillow falling to the floor.
[Taillow: 6/10] [Noctowl: 3/10]
Seeing her chance to catch the small bird, Silver would toss one of the Pokeballs she had been given towards it, silently praying that it wouldn't break free again.

Sub wouldn't get a chance to leave the tropical biome just yet as a Wurmple fell down from a tree over head, landed on his arm, and snatched up his banana before throwing its self to the ground, hissing at Sub before fleeing with the banana. "...a Shadow Wurmple just stole my banana and hissed at me...why I never." He said with a growl as he charged after the Wurmple.
"Come back here! Allen, get it!" Sub ordered as he tossed his Dusk Ball out, the device hitting the ground and releasing the Bisharp in its shadowy display...except the shadowy aura the ball emits never disappeared once the Pokemon appeared. Allen was indeed shadowfied. "Dammit." Sub mumbled to himself. "Hit it with a Metal Claw." He ordered his new Shadow Pokemon, reluctantly.

(Posted too soon, here is the rest of my post.)
Allen however did not use Metal Claw, instead he rushed forward like a football player trying to ram someone down as he exuded an intense aura of darkness. Once he came upon the tiny worm he swept it up with his foot and rammed an elbow into the Wurmple, sending it flying. Shadow Break.
[Bisharp: 4/10]
The move devastated the little critter but did not stop it as it soon regained its footing and hissed at Allen before firing a thread of string up at the ceiling and using it to swing and ram into Allen with a Shadow Blitz. The attack was enough for Allen to lose his balance as he stumbled backwards.
[Wurmple: 3/10]
"I don't have time for these games!" Sub cried as he took out a Pokeball and hurled it at the Pokemon pinata.

"Well that makes two, I guess." Sub said in a disgruntled tone as he recalled Allen and walked over to pick up the ball containing the Shadow Wurmple. "I guess even as a Shadow Pokemon a Wurmple isn't all that strong." He said with a laugh as he pocketed the ball and set off to find his next target.
