His eyes widened slightly. "Uh. No? I don't think I'm supposed to be able to. And I haven't gone to ask about that yet, I guess. It probably won't be long."
Ava was supposedly awful anyways. He was pretty sure it was good riddance.

Chel let out a long sigh of relief and her arms sagged. But then she lurched forward and put Chris into an extreme headlock, noogie included.
"Yeah well these babies leave messages before they leave!"

He struggled against the assault, trying to push her away. "You all overreact. I'm a big boy now."
Was now a good time? Maybe she was too worked up to listen, but if he could just... spread a little doubt. He let out a sigh, for dramatics. "I wish we hadn't gone through so much s**t that you had to worry like that. It'd be easier off island."

"Yeah, a big loser." The maturity was exponential.
She raised an eyebrow and relented her grip. "Well yeah. It'd be bomb to be away from Deus, but we both stuck here." She looked down. "I'm learnin' to not hate all of it."

She thought about it a moment. "I mean ... I'm all ears, but I'd be taken some luggage with me." Jack to say the least, but also Abbi and while Chel could have foregone Dawson, maybe even Gretchen, she was certain Chris wouldn't be so stupid.
"What you got?" There had to be a plan first off.

"If we did it we could probably take anything. Anyone." And he looked earnest, because he believed it. That's what the beautiful lady had told him. They could escape and be happy. Even he, the clone, could live another life.
"You have those," he gestured at her, all of her, "powers, right? That connection to Merlin? Isn't there some way we can use that to our advantage? You could be more powerful than anyone. Even the leads."

Debrief
The mention of Merlin changed the mood in the room. Chel was immediately icier somehow, guarded. Not unwilling to listen, because it was Chris and Chris would never put her in danger if he didn't think it was worth it, but still guarded. Less because of the suggestion and more with the fear that someone, somewhere was listening. Months of a metal bracelet had trained her.
"I don't know that I have them," she said, avoiding his suggestion. "It was just my knight in the dream. I don't ..." She ran a hand through her hair. "What d'you even want me to do, just go on a killin' rampage and hope Merlin don't notice?" She gave Chris a look like c'mon this is stupid even for you.

He almost panicked. He could feel the way she started to close off, and he worried that she wouldn't be willing to listen. But she didn't close him off, and that was all he needed for now.
"No, god no. Not a spree. But if we can hit 'em where it hurts and freak them out, maybe it'll be enough for us to get away. We'd have to shock them with how strong we are, though. If you have the power, I think you could attack one of the leads and scare them that way."
He slumped his shoulders, unwilling to push for now. "It's just something to think about. We can't make a move til we've thought it over."

Debrief
She wished she didn't have to put on her death facade for her cousin.
She wished he hadn't forced her into it.
"Which lead?" she asked him. "Can't be Caelius since he's away mostly. Least I think he is." She shrugged. "I'll have to talk t'Jack 'bout how it's goin' down." That way when she conspired later it wouldn't be suspicious. ********. She shouldn't have to conspire against her own cousin. "Depends on f'I can control or not too," she added, just as a reminder. Always a way out.

"Knock Aria and Allan out too, then. Aria goes on extended missions, and if something goes wrong Allan would know your fighting too well. Trained too many suns." He leaned forward, unconsciously showing how interested and focused on this he was.
"The moon leader wouldn't have enough impact... Dr. H would have impact. He's in everyone's business, which means he's in everyone's sight. Take him out and you take a leg out from under them."

She looked at him and said, "Anything else other than you suddenly wantin' to kill people?"

He laid back on the bed, covering his eyes with one arm. "I don't suddenly want to kill people. I'm just tired of having anxiety. Tired of giving everyone anxiety. The army's got nothing on the threat level of being a hunter. I don't even feel like an actual adult, and here we are ready to end it all with every mission."
