"And even if there was, I would accept it, because I know you'd have had no other choice. I'd rather be hurt, knowing that I can heal, then possibly lose something important by just, just sitting off to the side." There was a stubborn and slightly furious set to his lips as he spoke, thoughts miles away now. "By my standards you're an acceptable woman V'demhe." He added, eyes snapping up to look at her squarely. "One I would like to court, if possible."

He did not stutter for once, nor trip over his words and fall into a blushing mess. It wasn't the time for his usual antics, his shyness and insecurity. He wanted her to know how serious he was, how he would do anything within his power to ensure that she would be happy. Even if it meant that he had to step aside. Just thinking about her being with someone else made that anxiousness start to creep up on him again, but he swallowed it down, willing his courage to stay with him and not let him dissolve into his usual mess.

Being told that she was acceptable by his standards made her grin return. V'demhe felt elated by that statement. With Virain saying he'd like to court her she ceased playing with her necklace and lowered her hands to her lap. "You would?" The serious line of his lips made her hope it was true. "I.. I would like that." Dem thought to lean toward him so that she could give her favorite male a hug but paused to look at him a bit more seriously.

"Uhm.. you know I will have to visit Chibale Isles often and.. you can't follow.. right? I don't want you to think that I am avoiding you or ... or anything. A-and if you want children I would have to go over there all the time until... I... could.. " And it was there that her face became a bright red. A color that reached her ears and had her turning her head to look away. "S-sorry.. " She had rambled and mentioned younglings when she wasn't even sure if he would want that. At the moment V'demhe felt foolish.

She-she-she-she-she'd accepted! He squashed the pleased whine that started to build in his throat, face turning nearly fuchsia from the force of his blush. His heart was in his throat and he was sure he'd never been so happy in his entire life. "That's fine!" He blurted, "I don't, I don't expect you to be with me every moment of the day." He started to gesture wildly with his hands, "And-and it goes the same for me. I-I'll be gone for weeks on end, training with Master. E-even when I am done I-I'll be letting people know that they can-can come to me for-for anything. I... I want to use my abilities to help people, no m-matter how small."

He drew in a sharp breath at the mention of children. He'd been hoping that they would still be an option in their lives and even though any child they had together would be a hybrid, looked down upon by others, they would still be theirs in a way an adopted child wouldn't. Not that adoption was out of the question, but still. "I...I'd hoped to be a father one day." He said, calming down in increments. "I wouldn't mind, you being gone for so long, knowing that..." He blushed and forced himself to continue looking at her, even though he wanted to avert his eyes, "Knowing that you were with our child." He wasn't going to question why she had to be away for their child, if it was a cultural thing, then it was a cultural thing.

Unlike Rainy, Dem was unable to contain the joy she had. Her arms shot out and wrapped around him in a hug, though she was mindful not to crush him. Even when her movements pulled at the healing skin tissue she didn't seem to mind. "I think it's wonderful to help people, Virain. I'd love to help you do that." Dem pulled back slightly so that she could look at him with her glee filled expression.

His reaction to the mention of children had her pressing her lips together. "Then maybe.. someday.. we can have a youngling or two." V'demhe's chest felt like it was ready to burst. Heart fluttering and going wild. With nothing else to do to channel the feeling she started to chew on her lip ring.

"Or three, or four." He added, "One day we'll have them and they'll never be lonely." He wrapped his hand around her arm and settled in closer to her, trying to fit his frame neatly against her own without moving too much. He failed but was fine with it. "I ah, I warn you now. I've never...never courted someone. I don't...really know what I'm doing." His fingers stroked her skin for a few heartbeats, before he remembered that she was hurt. "Gods! Dem! Your wounds!" He pulled back and made an aborted movement towards her bandages, face pinched with worry.

Three or four? Wouldn't that be something. If Aisha blessed with with more children she would be pleased beyond mention. And that he was willing to consider children with her meant more to her than he knew. It meant, to her at least, that he didn't care about her tribe. "Oh? Well, I've never been courted so don't worry. As of now, Virain.. I am yours." V'demhe could say that with certainty. His exclamation startled her into blinking several times.

"They are fine. Teiluj might be angry with me for stressing them, but they aren't bleeding." At least she didn't think so. The bandages didn't feel overly wet. She tried to turn and see but that was a task of it's own. "I've already reopened them twice so I'll likely have a scar."

"And I am yours." Well wasn't that something? There was a tight feeling in his chest that grew with the words and he was startled to realise that it was pride. Pride mixed with utter elation. Take that mother! He was able to do things on his own without her holding his hand and holding him down.

"Proof that you survived." He quipped, fingers moving to trace the edges of the bandage. "They don't look like you've reopened them." He peeked at the white cloth and from what he could see, they weren't spotted by anything other than a bit of dirt, most likely from leaning against something. He sat back on his heels and pondered what to do now. He'd confessed his feelings and had them accepted. His talents at healing would most likely do more harm than good at the moment, so offering to help heal wouldn't be good. Not to mention that the body would only accept so much outside help before it rejected it. Or so he'd been told.

"We'd best get back inside." He said, "Before the others wonder where we'd gone off to."
