The silence of his brothers had allowed Inali the time to linger, and subsequently nod off. He wasn't completely asleep, though, and blinked toward Drexl as he spoke. Make their daddies something? Like what? He made a soft groaning sound and pushed upwards to rub at his eye, before turning to look at the surrounding area. Trees, sand, stones... Hm...
"We could make them something out of stuff laying about?" He suggested, moving his arm around broadly. "Like... Crystals and feathers and bones... N' stuff. What do you think?"

Drexl nodded. "Mhm! There's a bunch of things we can use! I mean...Dada taught us how to make cord from grass right...we can do that and use everything. We'll weave it all together and give it to Dada!!! And we'll make two...another for Daddy!!"
He got excited thinking of the different things they could use. "I can make the cord!!"

Ahhh, so that was what Drexl meant by giving their parents something? Not hugs or something like that, but instead it seemed that his older brothers wanted to make something for them. He thought about it for a moment before giving a slow nod of his head, "I see, we could try that, yes. We should look around, see what we can find any of that." What were the odds that they could find that sort of stuff? He supposed that they just had to look around and hope that they were lucky enough to come across some of it he thought to himself as he took a couple steps forward, eyes on the ground.
"Hmmm, alright... there has to be something somewhere..." He murmured, mostly to himself, before he squatted down, and picked up a pink feather. Pushing to his feet he looked it over before holding it up, "Maybe something like this?" He asked of his two brothers in a curious manner, wondering if it would work. It was pink, which wasn't exactly a guy color, but it was still rather pretty, wasn't he? He kind of like it so if his brothers didn't think that it would work for the present for their parents he might keep it for himself.

Inali made a grunting sound and let Abridi do most of the walking for him. Honestly, even if he liked being outside, he kinda wanted to nap instead. But, if they were going to make something for their daddies, it was worth it to try to stay awake for just a little bit longer. He kept himself upright and watched his brothers, before smiling as Lixes held up a pink feather.
"Yeah! Yeah! Just like that!" He exclaimed, wiggling. "Let's see if we can find more of those and make a big necklace out of 'em! A feather necklace!"

Drexl slid off of Pyre to plop on the ground. Walking over to Lixes he nodded. "Just like that. Only lets add some fun shaped stones and maybe other things that remind us of our Daddies!" He walked over to a pile of rocks...picking up a dark red one which looked like a paw. "Like this!!! Since Dada was the one who got Pyre and Pyre is red...this stone is perfect for Dada's necklace. I'll find grass to make the cord..."
The small child walked away to find long grass...

Lixes seemed to be quite pleased when Inali said that the pink feather was alright. There had been a part of him that was worried that the color might not be one that their parents would like. If Inali, who was the oldest among them, thought that it was alright then Lixes would agree. That just meant that he had to keep an eye out for more of those feathers... or really any other feathers that he might be lucky enough to... his mismatched eyes went wide and he gave a happy sort of squeak as he saw an orange feather as well which he hurried to scoop up. He gave it a once over before holding it up, "Look, look! An orange one too!" He said in an excited manner, more then a little pleased that he'd been able to find a second feather so quickly.
Putting the two together into one of his hands he started to search for more interesting this, at least until Drexl said that he'd get grass to make the cord out of, "Ah! Don't go too far, alright?" Even as he said that though Pyre seemed to follow along after Drexl, as though the radku understood that he was going toward tall grass which could contain any number of dangers. Seeing that the radaku was going to help Drexl he was able to relax.
Walking over to Abridi he lifted a hand up, offering the feathers to Inali, "Want to hold onto these while I find more stuff?" Inali was the best to have watch over things, especially if he was going to stay on top of Abridi's back. Lixes and Drexl could find the bits and pieces, then bring them to Inali to keep safe! It was the perfect plan. At least it was in his mind at least.

Inali was about as alert as a comatose sloth and simply rolled onto his back. He didn't notice Drexl wandering off, or really register that Lixes had approached, but extended his hand as the question was presented. He'd hold the stuff so Lixes could get more, yep, yep... Yep.
"... Uh-huh..." He yawned, clasping his hand closed as the feathers were handed to him. "I... Hold stuff, you go get... More."

Drexl looked back to Pyre a few times as he warily walked around. The child found a good patch of long grass blades smiling brightly he saw they were perfect for strong cord that would withstand his Daddy. As the youngling plucked the blades he shifted through them finding the strongest ones. Seeing something rather large and dark the child blinked before parting the blades to see...
Well. He didn't know what it was. All he saw was horns...dark scale plates and...those were really big teeth. Drexl did what was natural...and that...
Was scream as he backpeddled out of the grass to fall on his small rump. Tears started to stream down his face as he pictured the creature rearing up in all its nightmarish form.

Lixes gave a smile as Inali took the feathers from him, glad that his oldest brother would take them and guard them for him. It would allow him to go about searching for other materials without worry that he would drop something or scruff it up. Giving a happy smile he said, "Alright, you take care of those and I will see about finding us some more stuff for the necklace." He turned around, taking two steps forward... when he heard the awful scream that was follow by Drexl crying. It wasn't a good sign he thought to himself, rushing forward toward the sound.
"Drexl? Drexl?! What happened? What is it?" He called out, hurrying to his side. Drexl was crying, and Pyre had his hackles up and his teeth barred, growls coming from him. Lixes looked at his brother first, then toward the direction that Pyre was looking... then crept forward a couple steps, wanting to see what it was that was going on. At least he wanted to know until the giant, black scaled monster pushed to its feet. The thing was towering over the lot of them and Lixes's mismatched eyes went quite wide, his mouth falling over. He was unable to make a single sound other then a bit of a squeak as the creature looked the three of them over before lumbering away toward some unknown destination.
Blinking a couple times he muttered, "W-What was... what was that? Drexl! You aren't supposed to be looking for monsters just grass!" He squeaked that part out. At least the monster didn't seem to want to eat them, right? That was... something.

Inali nodded weakly and clutched the feathers tightly. He'd guard the feathers good, yes he would, all while he took a nap and his brothers searched for other things to make necklaces with. He snuggled into Abridi's fur, yawned, and sighed into a pleased expression for what he hoped would be a well deserved nap.
Then, suddenly, Abridi started running.
"AH! Abri! WHOA WHOA!" Inali screamed, swinging himself into a seated position. Where was she going? Was she out of her mind? Did something scare her? He gripped her fur tightly and pulled back, just as he saw the giant animal towering above his brothers. What was that awful thing?
And why did it think it could be so close to his baby brothers?
"HEY! GET AWAY FROM MY BROTHERS!" He screamed, hopping off of Abridi and standing between the beast and Lixes and Drexl. "SHOO! GO HOME! GO!"

Drexl hiccuped once then twice as he wiped away the tears. He looked at his two brothers. Wondering why he was the weak one. He was the one who got scared the easiest. The first to admit his fear and cry to his Fathers. the first to caution his brothers on what they should be doing. He would never in his life voice those thoughts out loud. In his young mind, they were blades to be used against him. He didn't fully understand the fear behind telling them but he knew it was spiritually paralyzing. He sniffled as the creature walked away...
"Sorry..." he whimpered.

Lixes watched his oldest brother, well his Mammu at least, come charging over to where Drexl, Pyre, and Lixes himself were standing. He looked up at her, then looked at Inali as he jumped down and started to yell after the large nightmare beast. He turned to look in the direction the creature was heading for a moment, then back to Drexl again who seemed to be quite shaken by the whole incident.
"Awww, poor Drexl. It's alright now! The monster left." He said, squatting down so that he could wraps his arms around his dark haired brother, dragging him in for a big hug. After the hug, as well as a kiss to his forehead to help sooth him, he drew back and said, "Come on, let's get back home, alright?" He was almost certain that after that scream that their Dada was going to come running, swords drawn, ready to kill whatever made Drexl cry.
Looking to Inali he said, "For now we should hide the stuff we've collected, so the surprise isn't ruin." He didn't want them to know what they were planning, not until stuff was done at least.

"Yeah, that's right, go home you... You big scaly thing!" Inali shouted after the creature as it wandered off, and soon simmered into a pout. Big dumb thing ruined his nap, now he'd have to catch up on his extra sleep, again! He folded his arms, huffed, and turned towards Drexl. Oh, no, poor Drexy! He shuffled over to his brother and brought his hands up to the black haired boy's eyes so he could help wipe the tears away.
"Shhh, it's okay Drexy, the monster was too scared of me to hurt us!" He soothed, wrapping his arms around him as Lixes did so. "See, Lixes and I are here and we always got your back, okay? We're gonna go home now, have a snack, and relax. Everything's fine."
He smiled toward Lixes as he spoke to him and nodded, happily producing the feathers in his hand.
"Yes, this will be our secret!" He chimed, before pausing to nuzzle Drexl. "Let's go home, guys."

Drexl smiled as his brothers comforted him. These were the moments he adored his siblings and cherished them the most. He nodded...
"Yeah. Lets go home...Pyre...sorry, but could you let me ride on your back again? Lixy can ride with Ally and Bridi. I'm sleepy. We can nap after that snack. I wanna see Dada." he loved snuggling with his Dada the most. Daddy was good for nightmares. Dada was good for real things.

Lixes gave a nod of his head, smiling as Inali came over to aid him with the soothing their brother. After some snuggles, and Inali saying they were going home to get a snack and relax, he gave a rapid nod, "That sounds like a good idea." He said to his oldest brother, glad that he was suggesting such things, hoping that they would appeal to Drexl and help to put him in a better mood.
After helping Drexl up onto Pyre's back, making sure that he was comfortable there, before he gave him a smile, "It will be alright now, don't worry!" He said, patting his brother on the arm, then scratch Pyre under the chin. He turned to look over at Inali and the mammu, taking a couple steps toward him... when he spotted someone walking their way. It seemed as though his guess had been right about their Dada. Lifting a hand he gave him a way before he looked to the others, moving to head toward him.
Their Dada would likely escort them home for their snack, their snuggles, and their naps, all of which he felt that they could at the moment... though to be honest there was a part of Lixes that wanted to know what the nightmare monster had been. He wouldn't say as much though, he didn't want his brothers to think that he was gonna wander off to try to find the creature after all. He was curious but he wasn't crazy, especially not crazy enough to go after a monster that sized all by himself! No, he'd rather see it from a safe distances where he could peek at it, preferably behind his Daddy and Dada just to be safe.
