Maya pulled the string of her bow back as she absorbed her daughters attack. Digging her feet into the ground the Alkdidike woman called upon her ancestral skills pushing her bow to it's limit before letting her arrow fly. She had to stop Teiluj before she could scamper up into the trees.

Teiluj stumbled back as the arrow caught the cuff on her ear. Giving a yelp of pain her eyes narrows on her mother as she struggled to use her magic to call upon the earth. If she could just unbalance Maya perhaps then she could get away.

Maya had been surprised her Teiluj was trying to summon the earth to unbalance her. However that had been one thing Maya had struggled with as a youngling and had been working on beating since. Now she was skilled in the area. At least in her mind. Taking he arrows out once again Maya aimed for Teiluj. "You have healing spells Teiluj, why are you not using them?"

"Because you're not giving me a chance." Teiluj retorted. "It takes time for me to call upon healing it's alot harder to call upon myself then it is to call upon the elements you know!" Teiluj yelped as the arrow skimmed across her skin leaving a fair sized gash in it's wake once again flipping her hands out Teiluj struggled to call upon the earth. All in an attempt to mimic the strange mound that Takoda had done in front of her.

You will need to find a way to heal in the middle of a fight." Pulling her arrow back again Maya let it fly. She had to get Teiluj to learn very important parts of fighting. Perhaps she had been to easy on her and should have been more rough fro the start.

Her mother was right but the least she could do was keep trying she had to get better. Had to be stronger. Raising her hands as she once again successfully dodged another arrow. She moved to use her earth magic. Once again trying to unbalance Maya.

Forfeit: Maya forfeits the fight
Maya Raised her hands in the air as the spell unbalanced her knocking her to the ground. Bursting out into laughter Maya couldn't help the proud feeling she got. Teiluj might seem meek and well unskilled, and to a point that was true but she wasn't the kind to give up a fight all that easy and hitting her was getting harder and harder the more they fought together. "Alrlight alright Teiluj you win." Rising to her feet maya hugged Teiluj tightly to her. "I'm so proud of you, you are slowly standing your own ground in a fight."
