There was a long pause in which Chance just looked at Eva, amusement sparking in his eyes.
"Nope," he said lightly. "Also I'm not so sure there's actually a flavor of jello I'd dislike..."

Eva let out a drawn out "boooo" at his reply, but she was still grinning quite widely. "Okay, fine! What if I shoved ice cream down the back of your shirt instead? Like...I don't know, half a tub of chocolate chip and mint ice cream?"
She folded her arms over her chest. "It's definitely the worst flavour," she added, scrunching up her face in distaste,"Strawberry is the best flavour of ice cream and no one can tell me otherwise."

He was forcefully reminded of Otto sniping at him that Neapolitan ice cream was the worst thing ever, and Chance had to stifle a smile at that, lifting a hand to idly tug at one of his curls. Eva's attempts at dislodging his calm demeanor were amusing, and he found her quite likeable.
"I like all flavors of ice cream," said Chance delicately. "Granted, mint chocolate isn't necessarily my favorite, but I'll eat it. I tend to go for just simple chocolate myself, or chocolate with those tiny marshmallow bits in it."
He let out a small laugh.
"I told you it wasn't that easy," Chance said, eyes twinkling.

Eva squinted at him. "Wow. Woooow. You really are a tough cookie to crack."
She laid back down then, her head pillowed on her arms. It seemed like she had dropped the topic, but then she spoke up once more. This time her voice was a whisper.
"Fish down the front of your pants?"

He couldn't help it; Chance burst out laughing.
"Where on earth are you coming up with these ideas?"

Grinning at his laughter, Eva gently poked him in the side before lifting the same hand up to tap at her temple. "From my brilliant mind, of course!" she joked.
"So! Fish? You can't possibly say that you'd be okay with a fish around your..." she made a vague gesture, "Uh, you know. Bits? Because I wouldn't be."

He was still laughing, and was now laughing even harder at this.
"Okay," said Chance, waving a hand, a grin on his face. "I might not be, like totally cool with it, because that sounds ******** gross, but I wouldn't be upset."

"I can't believe that you wouldn't be upset!" Eva gaped up at him, looking more impressed than she really should have, "I mean, come on! I don't know the first thing about being a guy, but I don't think anyone's trouser snake wants to share space with a live fish."
"You're tough, Chance," she told him solemnly, "I respect that."

He was snorting with laughter, a hand against his mouth to muffle the sound.
"I mean, I'd definitely prefer not to have a life fish around my trouser snake, no," Chance wheezed out, brushing a few stray curls from his face. "But seriously, I'm a tough nut to crack when it comes to offending or upsetting me, I've just never seen the point in getting worked up over things."kaiyumi I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE KAI USING "TROUSER SNAKE" IM CRYING

"Okay, okay," Eva grinned, holding her hands up in defeat, "I think you've won. I admire you for being so calm, and I promise that I won't actually put a live fish down your pants anytime soon."
..."Anytime soon".
"But! Moving away from the topic of things that upset you...how about things that make you tick? Favourite colour? Animal? Hobbies?" If they were going to spend this evening chatting, then she was going to make sure that she at least walked away knowing some things about her new, friendly acquaintance.kuuropii THE TROUSER SNAKE SPIRIT LIVES ON

"I appreciate that," said Chance dryly, eyes flickering with mirth as he lowered his hand from his face again, leaning back and relaxing again. His head tilted a little as he considered the questions, Chance mulling over the possible answers inside of his head.
"Favorite color is blue," he said, lips twitching up into a smile. "Favorite animals are cats, though I like dragons, if that counts as an animal. Hobbies include stargazing, drawing, and clothes."
Chance nodded towards Eva.
"Your turn. Same questions."

Eva mouthed Chance's answers to herself, brows furrowed in concentration as she tried to commit them all to memory. This was definitely really good information for potential future uses, and she wanted to make sure that she had it down pat.
It wasn't until she went through it a good three times did she smile and let out a thoughtful hum. "My favourites, huh?" Lifting her hands, she began to tick her fingers off one by one.
"My favourite colour is purple, and my favourite animal...debatable. I like birds--like little songbirds--a lot, but I also like narwhals." The unicorns of the sea, or that was how she had referred to them once. "As for hobbies, I like doodling, watching movies, and...collecting plushies, I guess!"
The last one hadn't really been an intentional hobby, but she had been given so many plushies in the past that she figured she might as well just fill her room full of them.

He stifled a smile at the plushies comment, his mind going immediately to a certain other someone who probably would have denied collecting them and yet still had a small mountain of them. Chance had already decided that he liked Eva, and her interests coinciding with his own only just made it more pronounced.
"What kind of movies?" he asked lightly, curiously. "Admittedly my knowledge of movies is limited to maybe four or five at present, but I'm always eager to learn more about them."

Eva let out a nervous laugh at the innocent question, shiftily looking away. "Uhhh, well, you know. It's kind of weird considering who we are and our lives, but I was always pretty into horror movies." Not so much since coming to Deus, but she had been a bit of a horror junkie in her early teens. "I also like comedies, mysteries..."
"............animated movies for kids..."
She seemed vaguely embarrassed about this despite the fact that it wasn't entirely surprising considering her personality. That, and...collection of plushies?

Chance smiled brightly.
"I like animated movies," he said mildly, stretching his hands out in front of him absently. "I just saw Lion King, and before that, the one with the girl with the long hair..." He snapped his fingers. "Tangled, that's it, I saw Tangled. And that's all I've seen so far, but I also watched a few natural disaster movies."
He glanced over at Eva.
"I haven't seen any horror movies yet, though I've heard The Ring is kinda creepy."
