"I don't know what the lies they told you were Amphi, but the last time we met-" Methone snarled, "I told you that Ash had been looking for you. That we had all been looking for you since you disappeared. Whatever delusion you have, that they fed you?" Methone huffed, "It's a pile of chaos bullshit. They're gonna kill you, once they've finished using you."
She had no idea where this was coming from but Ash was begging for Amphi to understand.
And then the girl did something that Methone could never forgive. Using Ash's feelings. Using the cat to draw her away.
"You snake little b***h." Methone rushed her again, this time taking Amphi by the scruff. She wasn't larger then the girl, and she only had a small boost from being a super, but she used what she had. As she pulled Amphi forward, her leg came from behind the girl's, catching her off balance where she pushed her to the ground. Then she held the girl's chin up to see Ash's face, as if Amphi didn't see it already clearly.
"You are killing her." She said to Amphi, "She has done EVERYTHING she could to get you back. How dare you make light of her feelings for you! How dare you-" She wanted, nothing more, then to bash Amphi's head in the ground, drag her to castor and figure something the ******** out. But Ash was still there, and purifications had to be willing. Not that she was really helping.
"How dare you pretend to care for Ash. If you did...If you remembered even a little bit about how she was with you, You would never do this to her."

She didn't want to hear it, she didn't want their defenses, their order logic, their excuses. What she did listen to, and hear loud and clear as day, was Ash's rejection of her offer. Amphitrite had known from the beginning what she'd say, but the look of hurt rejection on her face wasn't as fake as she would have liked it to be.
Not that she got to wear it long after Methone swept up to grab her, a gasp of shocked pain escaping her as she hit the ground. Her head didn't impact the ground directly, but the shells decorating her hair did, digging into her skull - one of them cracked audibly. Delicate things, those shells were. It didn't take much to break them.
She shut her eyes, tight and fast - and she lied. "I don't remember, " she hissed, sounding more fierce than she was as she laid still beneath the super senshi. "Anything." She wondered if she could summon her communication crystal into her hand, call for help - before they called their prince and made her come back.

Watching Methone, her sweet, lazy, loving senshi slam the other into the ground was shocking, to say the least, and felt so wrong. This wasn't how things were supposed to be. Chaos ruined everything!
Unable to stand watching the two, Ash let her human form go with a pop of sparkled and she sat reject on the cement, her face open and eyes full of deep sadness.
"Methone, Darling... Please let her go. I want to go home now." She struggled for detachment, but her voice still wavered. "We can't force her if she doesn't want us and I don't like seeing you two fight. Please... I want to go."
She still felt dizzy from the blow to the head, and heart sick besides. She wanted a warm lap and sleep that lasted forever. The guardian wasn't sure what she was going to do know, but there was nothing more to do here. Atleast now she knew, right? The searching was done, everyone could go back to living their lives like usual and not humoring her silly need for closure. Maybe they could convince Amphitrite someday. That was something to wish for.

Methone barely heard her kitten, but when she had, and she looked over...She didn't hesitate to leave Amphi in the dust. Literally.
She let go of the girl, jumping off her and heading to the cat.
"Okay..." The anger and hurt in Methone disappeared, only as she cradled Ash, lifting her to her chest. "I'm sorry." She was so sorry Ash. For fighting, for not saving Amphi, for being right about her.
"Let's go home." Methone didn't cry, or sniffle, but she pet the silver cat's sleek body, pretending she didn't feel the blood over her fur.
She looked one time, over her shoulder at Amphi, and the gaze was one of pity. Ash was hurt and terrified, but Methone would help her. But Amphi? Who did she have now that she pushed the only one who was trying to save her away.

Amphitrite was on her feet the moment Methone's weight was off her, standing straight and tall in spite of the lingering pain in her head and her rapidly swelling cheek. Those were nothing compared to what she'd felt when Laurelite had given her a second life. When the super senshi looked to her with pity, she looked back with nothing but contempt, highlighted by the subtle sneer on her lips.
Then, she turned on her heel and walked away without so much as a second glance. Even if Ash had rejected her offer to stand by her side, it didn't matter. It shouldn't matter. Amphitrite had friends, now. A date with a handsome boy in her future. More corrupts she'd yet to meet. She was part of a larger system that spiraled seemingly endlessly before her, and she was finding her home among them.
Even if not for all of that - she had herself, and she had her pride. That was enough.
