Speed || 24 (+4)(+2) = (+6) HP: 22.55 Attack! 11 + 8 = 19 (hit) 3 + 8 = 11 (dmg) ---------------------- She suffered the smack across the shoulders and gave a hiss at Maya. "Easy, Sister, I reopen my wounds quite enough on my own." A least that explained why her wounds were still there. V'demhe gave shameful grin before she turned to deliver a blow to the older woman's side. Or at least she hoped to.

Maya looked apologetic when V'demhe spoke her eyes never leaving the woman. It was easy to see where she was going to be aiming next. Two options lay before her jump away and send another arrow which could potentially hurt V'demhe further. Or, she could try to knock the blade from the Alkidikes hand. Settling on the later option Maya used her arrow to redirect the blow before using her fist to attempt knocking the weapon from her hands. Effectively avoiding any damage.

Of course it stung her hand so rather than going in for another attack she tried a trip.

Maya watched with interest as V'demhe tried to trip her. Debating if it would be wise to let the girl think she was succeeding in catching Maya off guard or if she was really doing her a dis service by pretending to be more frail than she was. Eventually Maya settled on the choice to fight like she normally would. Jumping back out of the way Maya crouched low to the ground and smirked. Her feet digging into the dirt around her. "Train hard little blossom. You're are doing well for your age. Injuries aside, it's good to know you can hold your own there may come a day when you will need it. For now, this is a skill that you will do well to learn."
The older Alkidike seemed to be teeming with energy as she reached for another dull arrow. She wasn't going to strike hard, not intentionally hard but enough to show her the skills she could eventually acquire with enough training. Feeling the earth rush through and rejuvenate her Maya let her attack fly.

Speed || 24 (+4)(+2) = (+6) HP: 11.325 Counter 6 + 8 = 14 + 3 = 17 (hit) 16 + 8 = 24 + 3 = 27 / 4 = 6.75(dmg) ----------------- Another laugh came from her when Maya lept away. So she hadn't been as sneaky as she had thought. Ah well, she gave herself props for trying. After all Maya was a seasoned fighter. V'demhe watched the older Alkidike carefully and when she went for another arrow she gave a groan. Practice or not they stung a little. Deciding that she wanted to try and dodge it she waited until Maya released it then moved. She managed to get mostly out of the way but still took a glancing hit. When she was able to right herself from the dodge she countered the move. Picking up a small rock she tossed it at Maya. Even if all she could do was give the woman a small knot on the head she'd feel accomplished.

"Using the terrain to help fight back can prove useful if you would like to learn how to do things like that. You need to increase your aim. But it can prove to be a great line of defense. Let me show you." Picking up a smaller rock Maya chucked it back at V'demhe.

So when the smaller rock was being tossed her way she moved to the side and smiled, proud that she'd at least managed to dodge that. However, she quickly snatched up a falling stick and wung it at Maya. It wasn't a rock, but it could serve as a distraction so that she could pick up her blade again.

Maya had her moments when she was easily distracted. Where her mind easily wandered from one place to the next and often she found herself standing aimlessly as she watched the sky. Today was not that day it seemed, the travel from Ast towards Chibale was exiting her bones. Waking her up and pushing her forward. She watched as V'demhe bent down to pick up the stick easily dodging it before turning the tide and heading strait towards V'demhe. She was going to close the already small distance in hopes of intimidating V'demhe.

However, when the woman came at her she only stumbled, hurting herself as she failed to pick up her weapon. But she wasn't intimidated in the normal sense. Dem wasn't afraid of Maya, instead she gave a grin and went for a tackle.

When V'demhe failed to be intimidated by Maya's rush the elder Alkidike couldn't help but feel a little happy about it. Even if that pleasure disappeared the moment the younger one stumbled. Her worry though had caused her own misshape when V'demhe rushed at her. Caught off guard as their bodies collided with one another.
Grunting Maya fell backwards, having expected a different result. Using that to her advantage Maya kicked her leg out in order to make the other stumble away from her.

The pain from landing on her back only mildly interrupted her chuckles. However, she wasn't about to get up after that. She needed rest and possibly some meds from the pack Teiluj had packed for her.
