"I promise you they probably won't be that exciting. I'm pretty terrible at it right now," she chuckled, nudging him playfully. She was trying her best to get better, but at the moment she was still just bad at it. She just hoped she could impress Gael some day with her magic. She'd hate to disappoint him, and at her current magical state she was sure that's just what she would do. Ignoring that thought for the moment, she smiled as he mentioned shell hunting once more. "I'd love to collect more shells with you, as long as you would like that is. I wouldn't want to force you into anything."

"What kind of man would I be if I gave you a necklace then simply left? I would love to collect shells with you." Especially if they were going to be for her belt. Though he didn't mind collecting them for her brother either. Gael motioned with one hand for her to lead the way. "Is it still just any shell or do you want something particular?"

"Well I'm still lacking some really big shells for the main parts of the belt, but I haven't really been able to find any. Maybe I'll just have to wait a little while for some to show up," she muttered, thinking about how long it would take for more shells to appear. "There is also the possibility that I could be taking all the shells from other people. Maybe I should stop for a bit. OpticPeach They should! Maybe she can change his mind about helping. He gave it thought before he lifted one shoulder. "I think there is a lot of beach in Matori and plenty of shells to go around." Gael smiled at her. Even if she was taking shells from everyone else, he wouldn't care. It made her happy to have them. Moving a few steps he looked down at the sand and tried to find more shells for Kani. "Did you think about going into the ocean to find some? Not too far but just a bit out into the water."

"Oh I hadn't thought to look out in the water! I'm sure there's plenty of shells there," she agreed, slightly embarrassed that she hadn't thought of it herself but otherwise pleased that she would be able to get more shells. Her belt was almost complete from the last time she'd talked about it with him, but she was still missing some vital pieces. Hopefully she'd be able to find just what she needed. Walking over to the shore, she dipped her toe hesitantly into the water. It was a bit cold, but it would be okay to wade in. "Coming with me?"

He looked down at his clothes then up at her. Gael debated for a moment then sat down so that he could take his boots off at least. Soaked pants, fine, wet boots, not so much. Once they were off he stood again and pulled off his shirt. Tossing it down next to his shoes he headed toward the water to join Kani. "I guess I could go for a swim." Wearing a grin he started to walk out into the cool waters.

Glancing back at the Matori boy, Kani couldn't help but blush at his shirtless state. Of course he would strip seeing how they were getting into the water, but it was definitely a...surprising sight. Wading deeper in, she ignored the cool water getting her skirt wet and bent down to stick her hands in the water and search for shells. "It's a bit hard to see, but hopefully I can feel for something!"

He watched her wade into the water then chuckled when she reached into the water to feel around for shells. Gael went out a bit farther then dove right in. Once he was under the water he began searching for shells. He didn't really need to swim since he could crawl along the bottom and move through the sand. When he found one he'd surface and turn to look at Kani as he held it out.

"You didn't have to go diving in or anything," Kani chuckled, splashing some water at Gael as he came up. She waded over to him, trying not to trip and fall as she grabbed the shell out of his hand. "Thank you," she smiled, trying to keep her skirt from floating everywhere as she wandered farther out in search of shells.

He laughed when she splashed him. "The water feels good." As she took the shell from him he noticed how she seemed concerned with her skirt. "If you tangle the ends around your legs it won't come up." He commented. Gael tried to think of another way to help but he had nothing available on his person. Like a belt or anything.

"I think I'll be okay. I'll just need to be careful," she nodded, stumbling a little as she spoke and using him to lean on for a moment. She was trying to ignore the fact that she was leaning against his chest now, but it was a bit hard to do. Skirts weren't exactly the best things to wade through water in, but she would just have to make do with what she had. "My only other option would be to take it off."

As she stumbled he reached out to make sure she didn't fall, never mind that she had moved toward him to stay upright. With Kani so close he could feel his face warm a little. However, when she mentioned taking her skirt off that little warm feeling in his cheeks grew hotter. Gael gave a cough then reached up to his hair and took the tie that was holding it half up. This made his hair fall loose and of course some of it was annoying enough to be in his face. "Uhm, here. You can tie the two ends of your skirt together. This way you don't have to take it off." Not that he didn't want her to, but it just wasn't gentlemanly to let her when there was another option. "I wouldn't want you to be exposed if someone else came upon us."

"Oh thank you! This should do well," she exclaimed, using the tie to pull her skirt together and hold it in place. Once she figured it was secure enough to hold she glanced back up at him and smiled. It was interesting to see him without his hair tied back, but she liked it. He looked more casual with it down. Reaching up, she gently brushed her fingers through his hair where it was normally tied. It was nice and straight, where her hair was so ridiculously curly it was hard to deal with it sometimes. "It would be an issue if I was exposed and just uncomfortable for everyone involved," she chuckled.

He was pleased to see that the tie from his hair worked to keep Kani decent. However, Gael was taken off guard when she ran her fingers through his hair. It was an intimate enough gesture that he gently reached out and grabbed her by the waist to pull her closer. "I would hate for you to be uncomfortable." With a grin the matorian lifted her up and tossed her a few feet away and into the water playfully. "Especially since it would get in the way of a water fight." Gael gave a wink at Kani as he spoke.

Kani hadn't expected the sudden reaction from Gael, but once she came up from the water she was ready to get her revenge on him. Tackling him, she knocked them both over into the water and splashed him once more. Two could play this game, and she was a shaman! The elements were definitely on her side! Giving him a small reprieve from the water splashing, she laughed as she realized how soaked the both of them were. "I'd say I win this round," she winked back, pleased with herself.
