He watched her be cautious about the way she was escaping. Honestly, if Rutile was going to leave first, he wouldn't turn his back on her either. Thank God she was leaving. When she jumped down, he kind of fell where he was, clutching the side where the staff made contact and just growled. God damn it, that seriously hurt.

That was going to bruise and then his fiancee would try to murder someone else and it'd be half amusing. At least she cared.
