"It's not the best." Nellie reached for the salt and pepper next, adding just a little of both to some of the egg. "But it's not the worst either and Nellie just kinda learnt what to avoid after a couple of trial and errors." It helped to observe what the other hunters went for in the cafeteria, what was usually leftover save for a few servings that were dished onto the plates belonging to a few brave souls and ignorant trainees like herself.
Scooping some egg into her mouth, she sniffled a few times, her eyes suddenly shutting tightly as her nose wrinkled up from an impending sneeze as a result of the pepper. Turning her head quickly to the side, the Mist finally sneezed, not once but twice in rapid succession. Turning back to Eva with a somewhat flustered look on her face at how she had handled that, she twiddled her fingers at the other huntress' words with a clueless look crossing her face. "Tips and tricks?"
Was that a course or lecture that she should have gone for?

Eva laughed and then polished off the rest of her plate, going for one big bite to get it all over with. Washing it down with a gulp of water, she let out a sigh before turning her grin back to the girl. "Clever. There are definitely some things that you'd want to stay away from more than others. I typically like to just stick with toast and an apple because you can't screw those up, but these eggs are...passable." A little bland and funny tasting, maybe, but there have been worse.
The sneezes startled her, causing her to jolt slightly in her seat. This was quickly followed by a laugh and a sing-song "bless you" as she leaned to the side to make sure that Nellie was okay. Perking up a little at the look on confusion on the huntress' face, Eva nodded.
"Yeah, I mean, little things about Deus Ex that you tend to learn over time, like the fact that you've already learned which foods to avoid here in the cafeteria."

Deciding that she was done after taking a few more mouthfuls of what was on her plate, Nellie set down her cutlery then went about the motion of stacking the plates on one another in order to facilitate their clearing later on. "That's true." They were probably better off stocking up on various food stuff when they got off the island during their leave days. Wasn't as if Nellie had anything in mind at present that she was saving up for.
"Thank you." She smiled at Eva, finding herself really enjoying the other huntress' company since she could relax and be herself without having to fear being judged for it. Twiddling her fingers still, she tilted her head at Eva's words. "Mm... but Nellie will like to learn more if Eva has any advice to offer." Perhaps there was a thing or two she could pick up that would save her eventually from a tongue lashing from a not as forgiving hunter.

Eva smiled back warmly in return, only to furrow her brows and crinkle her nose at the mention of advice. Uh...oh man, advice, huh? Despite being a full hunter now, the girl honestly wasn't sure what kind of things she could offer the newer trainees besides friendship and obnoxious cheer. Leaning back, Eva let her head drop back against the top of her seat.
"Well," she started slowly, "I guess I'd advise you to find that balance between listening to your superiors and doing what you feel is right. I mean, the former is important, but I like to think that it's important to maintain a sense of individuality and self as well." God knows that she had ignored at least a few orders in the past and gotten heavily punished for it but...hell, in the end, she didn't really regret it. The fact that she tried to save her friends over all else may have not been the "logical" choice, but she liked to think that it had been the most human one.
"Also, make friends! Try to stay with them during missions, and watch one another's back. As cliche as it sounds, there's definitely strength in numbers, espeeeecially when you're in the situations we get thrown into!" That was to say, terrible ones.
