Skylar didn't hear the shots until they impacted, breaking her biotic barrier like it was glass she stumbled, the Quarian she was holding set free. The Quarian ran from her captor, right into the arms of the Spectre who was there to meet her. Skylar didn't miss the uniform and identity of the woman she was now face to face with. As if she had just figured out a hilarious joke, Skylar began to laugh. "Alright! Now we're gettin' somewhere! ...You want me alive? Come get me." As soon as she spoke the last word, Skylar pulled her pistol up, aimed and fired at the Quarian, puncturing her suit in two places and hitting Lumi in the leg before she felt the impact of the next barrage of shots, knocking her out cold with a smile on her face. The people after her wouldn't know it, but that was Skylar's way of "going quietly." She knew who Lumi was and who she was really after, having found out that the Spectre was after her target several months prior. The fact that they wanted her alive and that Lumi was in on it, meant that they wanted to know what she knew, wanted her to help them track Sidero down and catch him. Skylar could play along, for a time, "Hell," she figured, "This might even be fun."

=======================================
Approximately One Hour Later
=======================================

Skylar awoke chained to a metal table in an uncomfortable chair in a room about the size of her bathroom in her apartment on Illium. Her head ached, but at least it meant she was still alive. Shaking her head to clear it she heard the door to the room open. Looking up she found herself face to face with three people, two of them were new faces, a Turian who looked rather annoyed about something, a human man who was unmistakeably a shrink, and the Spectre Lumi. She smiled a little, lifting her hands and shrugging a little. "Well you caught me. Why don't you tell me why you decided to ruin my fun?" She looked over the faces of her captors and watched them with a smile, knowing that she, for the moment, had the upper hand in terms of information they needed.

It could have gone better. They could have drugged Skylar in the bar and dragged her out. Though it would have brought a lot more attention on them. Kiya could have tried to use her biotics to knock the gun out of her hand. She could have put a shield up around her and Mez sooner. The commander she had in the Asari would have been lecturing her by now for letting her guard down with her back turned.

Back on ship, Kiya and Mez were ushered, if not dragged, to the sick bay. Doctor Vai was waiting, all the tools ready. It was only when they stumbled through the door did Kiya start to feel her shoulder. Throbbing with the steady beat of her heart. It was only then as well, that she noticed that she was not the only one injured. At a glance, Mez had at least 2 shots. "You can go first." She gave Mez a little nudge towards Doc.

Less then an hour later, Vai was done with Mez and was just finishing up on Kiya's shoulder. Kiya was holding her ruined vest in her hands while Vai was giving them both the lecture of a lifetime. Vai…as it turned out, did not appreciate that they had gotten shot with old school bullets and continued on moving. Completely disregarding the fact that bullets tend to keep moving.

Once she was done, Kiya hopped off the stool, pulled on her vest (as for some reason Lumi didn't like her walking around the ship topless) and went with Mez out into the hall. She stopped him, knowing he would be running off to the engine room any second now. "Hey Mez, thanks for having my back in there." She smiled at him, completely sincere. "I'm glad I didn't have to drag your body out." Kiya leaned in, and gave Mez a kiss to thank him. The moment it was over she giggled, and made her way down the hall. She was going to have to stop by her room first. She needed a new vest.

'Precious? Who me? Really, Kiya? Really?’ Mez was going to have to be sure to ask Kiya later what she meant by being able to “survive surprisingly long”. Then again, Mez had found himself to have incredible luck when it came to surviving life threatening situations. His luck was annoying at times really but mostly to his enemies and pursuers over the years before being recruited into the military service as a mechanic. For now, he allowed Kiya to play up their supposed employer/employee relationship. After all, it was probably more believable if they did try to play along with the illusion.

From that point on in the conversation, it was mostly a business-like tone, so Mez decided to stay out of it for the most part and let Kiya handle it because she was supposed to be playing as the information broker. He also took note of some slightly suspicious behavior on Skylar’s part and made sure to stay on some alert for anything threatening to himself or Kiya. It wasn’t long though until Kiya ended the exchange by getting up from her seat and gave a motion for him to follow suit as well. As he got up, Mez turned to give a light salute of farewell to Skylar along with a smile. ”Nice doing business with you.” he stated lightly.

But as he turned away, Mez caught on to the swift motion of Skylar reaching for her firearm. ’Ah s**t! Not a gun!’ Mez cursed mentally as he quickly moved to try to shove Kiya out of harms way. Of course, this brought his own body into the line of most of the fire instead. The familiar stinging sensation of a graze to his right arm, along with an actual hit to just below his right shoulder blade made him grimace as he held back a growl of pain. ’Dammit! Just my luck. I was hoping not to get shot at today…’ He thought to himself as he could feel a growing wet stain of blood on the back of his shirt.

Ignoring the pain and stuff from getting shot for the moment, Mez got back to his feet, following after Kiya. ”Hold on! Wait! Let’s let the others take care of the chasing part, okay? We’re not soldiers, remember?” he said as he readied his own firearm while following after the Asari navigator through the crowded nightclub after their target. It was while he was following Kiya that he noticed she was also hit by one of the shots from earlier. ’s**t, the Doc’s gonna have a heart attack when she sees us later…’ he thought as both he and Kiya burst outside the nightclub via the very same exit that Skylar had used moments before. Mez also took aim at Skylar, but hesitated in shooting her because the former terrorist had grabbed a passing civilian as a shield. He knew his aim was good, but it wasn’t that good enough to bypass such a small margin of error.

Fortunately, someone else had the skills to shoot Skylar instead of himself: probably one of the other soldiers actually, most likely Lilith. ”Nice timing, Captain.” Mez said to Lumi with a light sigh of relief. ”I was worried I would have to actually take a shot there.”

====

A while later, both Mez and Kiya had been brought to the medical bay to have their wounds tended to. Doc Vai practically yelled at him to get into treatment first, not to mention the fact the Kiya also told him to do so. Just so he didn’t anger the doctor even further, Mez complied and let her do her job to fix him up. Of course, his treatment took longer that Kiya’s, but even after he’d been patched up, Mez waited until the Asari emerged from the medical bay just so he could be sure she was alright. When Kiya thanked him, Mez simply grinned sheepishly and rubbed the back of his neck with his left hand. ”Oh, you mean these? I've had worse injuries.” he said, referring to his injuries with a light chuckle. He gave a light wave of his hand to try to dismiss Kiya’s worry for his condition. He then sighed. ”But I was really hoping not to get shot at today.” It wasn’t long after he said that that she suddenly leaned in and kissed him lightly on the cheek.

Mez blinked in mild embarrassment and surprise before quickly recovering. ”Not that I don’t appreciate the gesture, but there’s definitely no need for that particular show of gratitude to a simple mechanic like myself, you know.” he replied to Kiya’s retreating figure and then turned to head off in the opposite direction. He needed to pick up a clean shirt from his room before returning to the engine room. Currently, Mez wasn't wearing a shirt due to the fact that the doctor had had to remove the stained one to treat him. Not only did he have replace his shirt, but Mez had a little stowaway in his room to whom he had told about today's mission to explain himself to as well.

She expected this, Skylar wasn't one to just give up even with the odds crushing her, she liked to make a statement. This one how ever had been a risk Lumi had not wanted to take. The Quarian had no wounds but her suit was damaged, putting her at risk of infection, Lumi had taken more than just a bullet to the leg in her defense, Kiani ran to her side. "take her in, there should be a nurse on duty, this is illium after all..." Kiani nods as she carries the startled and shaken Quarian back inside the club to see medical attention. "target is in custody everyone, breath easy" She informed the rest of the crew, the hard part was done " ill need that transport Naya, Kiani, come help me with Sylar once your done" Looking to Kiya and Mez she nods to them, placing a hand on Mez's shoulder. "you both did well she nodded to them as the group gathered around and Kiani helped lumi restrain the Fugitive as Naya brought i their transport, within moments they were safely on their way back to the ship.
=========================================
To The Ship!
=========================================

Vai was waiting for them when they all got to the ship and she immediately had Kaiya and Mez sent to the med bay where she would follow shortly after them having business the captain needed her for. Kiani was assigned to move the fugitive and everyone was dismissed as Remmy was called to help with the interrogation, The moment she was done with the doctor Primus was there as well "welcome, i suppose you only half expected me to Succeed?" Why the Racist Turian Spectre was on her ship still rubbed her the wrong way, probably as much as it did him. "suppose ill invite you to spectate while i speak with the fugitive, your only going to follow anyway" she nods to Remmy, and they all walk to the interrogation room, kiani standing guard by the door. "is she awake yet?' her answer came from inside the room itself. "Stand guard Kiani" with that they all enter the interrogation room to seal the door. "suppose you would call it fun wouldn't you Skylar?"

Skylar smirked at the human Spectre as she spoke, if banter was what she wanted, banter she would get. "Hey, you guys attacked me, I was having a drink and waiting for some info I paid for. After that I was gonna get drunk, buy a bottle of scotch and bring an Asari and maybe a Drell home with me where we could get all sorts of nasty. Illium girls REALLY know how to have a good time. Speaking of, is the lavender lady I shot from here? She looks like she'd be right up my alley." Skylar chuckled as she watched the trio in front of her, but most of her attention was on Lumi. "Hell, invite the whole crew. It's not a party till there's a one-to-one sexy lady/dead body ratio." Skylar knew there was little point in antagonizing the spectre, but she still found it incredibly amusing.

This wasn't at all what she was looking for but Skylar seemed to be in a talking mood, she could cut the crap. "we heard your little friend ditch you a few months back, suppose that is why your contact was giving you information on his recent hits, you still his errand b***h? cause if you are i am sure the turian spectre here would love more than anything for me to hand you over to be disposed of she wasnt really in the mood for games today so cutting right to the chase might get some sort of reaction from their prisoner.

Lumi seemed to be trying to get a rise out of Skylar, though why she wasn't sure yet. She simply smiled at Lumi and the others before she slammed her hands on the table and stood up, getting right in Lumi's face, close enough to headbutt her if she wanted. "Let's get something straight Alliance-Council b***h. I'm nobody's gofer. I don't run errands for anyone. You want something from me, ask, but don't pretend you can threaten me into giving up my only leverage. I bet you've got your guys going through that datapad line by line now, but you won't find it. I ran a scrubber through it so all relevant files are now in one place only. My head." Skylar had tried to break her chains with her biotics, but it appeared that they were using some sort of inhibitor on her, which made Skylar significantly more angry than she would have been otherwise in this situation. " So Ice Queen, you wanna deal, we can deal, but I don't work for free. You want my info on how to catch Sidero, you're gonna have to play along." Skylar sat back in her chair, lifting her feet up and putting her boots up on the table, despite the chains she was sitll able to move quite freely.

Lumi hit a nerve, by now Skylar would have noticed the block on her biotics she had asked the doctor to fit into her head while she was unconcious, and her reaction made it very clear she was no longer working for her previous ally. "looks like i won 40 bucks, Primus, half of that was your wager" she gives a hum as she leans back in her chair, Naya would pay up later "we already went through your data pad Skylar, unless you have more than the information that was on there i hope you dont mind the Turian Justice system, you need to give me relative information before i can consider a deal"

Skylar wondered why she ever bothered to go to this info broker, how terrible could they be as a broker to not only get caught, but to give them the info they wanted and the identity of their client? But that was when it clicked for Skylar; if they got the info they needed from the datapad, there was no reason they went after her. She simply smiled again, watching Lumi seem smug as she tried to bluff her way into getting some information out of Skylar. "So you picked up the broker, took his datapad, and then gave it to me, with all the correct info on it? No, I call bullshit on that lady. The reason I picked this broker, really the only reason because he's obviously not very good at anything else, is that he has unbeatable encryption on his files. He had a Geth write it up for him, with help from the hive mind or whatever it is they have. The only way to beat that is with the encryption code. Which was randomized and sent to me. No way he could have seen it, nor could you have intercepted it. So, nice try at bluffing Ice Queen, but you're still going to have to play my game." Skylar's lips curled up again as she watched Lumi's smug smile fall. "I'm very easy to please. First, I want my own quarters, preferrably cold and away from the rest of your crew, just so they don't bother me and accidentally get turned into new wallpaper for your ship. Second, I want whatever inhibitor you stuck in my head turned down. I figure you're not going to just take it out, but letting me have some of my powers, just enough for minor levitation, will go a long way to making me agreeable. I'll even throw in a free tip. Sidero is traveling through the Eagle Nebula to get to his destination. He's gotta use hyperspace jumps sparingly because that gives away his position." With that, Skylar zipped her howling screamer and let the trio in front of her think what they wish.

"Aye dios mio" Doctor Remijio Mendoza whispered to himself as he glossed through the file of the Argent Thames latest arrival. "My she sure has led an exciting life" he added before carefully placing the file on top of his desk. He wasn't entirely sure what exactly his captain had planned for this girl, but he knew she could cause him a lot of trouble. "As if my job wasn't already complicated enough." Remi sighed as he flopped in his desk chair and eyed the file again before he was interrupted by the arrival of their 'guest.' "Time to put my game face on" he said gathering a few supplies and hurrying out of his room.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"You know how to pick the lively ones don't you" Remi said finally breaking his silence, having been comfortable just listening to Lumi and Skylars back and forth. "Are you always this...excitable?" he asked before beginning writing in a small notebook he had brought with him. This wasn't his first time dealing with a dangerous individual, but normally in this kind of situation he wasn't working as a shrink. Normally he'd employ a couple or torture tactics, a little pain, a little pleasure, and boom answers, but this was not the time nor the place for that. This was a time for head games and observation. He moved a few steps closer to Skylar trying to show he was friendly although still wary of her. "Tell me, why should we believe you won't just kill us all as soon as you get a little le way? I imagine it wouldn't be too hard for someone of your talents."

Lilith hated down time as she felt it was a waste of her processing power. She also hated it because the inhibitor collar mostly prevented her from going on what she called data excursions. Still she at least had the initial task of changing back into her uniform and out of the Ilium business attire. Her first stop however was the armory where she had to return the sniper rifle from the mission. On her way to the quarters she shared with another officer Lilith stopped by the medical bay to look through the window. It was her way of checking up on those injured during the mission. Inside Kiya and Mez were being treated for their injuries. Non combat personnel shouldn't be in harms way. she thought before continuing on. Once in her shared quarters she removed her clothes from the mission, folded them, and put them away. She was internally cooled and neither sweat nor produced skin oil so the clothes were still quite clean. She looked over into a mirror for a moment viewing her naked body, Her dimly glowing "eyes", the blank expression on her smooth face, the body's curves, the barcode just above her breasts, and most bizarre of all to her was the structure resembling the genitals of most human women. In a moment of reflection she asked herself why her creators had shaped her the way they had. God created man in his own image I suppose. she thought before looking away. That information is classified. the VI chimed inside her brain. Whatever, it's not important. she replied. From there she set about to putting on her Alliance issued clothing before heading out to blow time walking around the ship and possibly chat with some of the crew. Although she doubted anyone would, as most seemed to avoid her.

[[If anyone want's to chat with her feel free.]]

Skylar smiled at the shrink as he asked her whether or not she could be trusted. Skylar thought about it for a moment then chuckled, they really didn't see it did they? Why she even allowed herself to be taken alive as opposed to trying to gun them all down. "Because, mister psychoanalysis, we're after the same thing. I help you guys, you give me a bit of freedom and we both get what we want." Skylar fell silent and watched the three of them for a short bit, wondering if they understood or not, when they didn't seem to react, she continued, "I'll be more specific I guess. I want Sidero's head mounted on my wall. I want to cut his fingers off with a rusty knife and feed them to him before I kill him." Skylar glowed a bluish purple and Remi's notebook was snatched from his fingers; Skylar still had enough power for minor things like that even with the inhibitor. She flicked the pages around to the notes on her before he took it back from her. "So who's the Turian stiff? He looks angry at me for some reason. Whassa matter Dextro? Someone put ryncol in your breakfast?" She smirked and gave a tug on her chains as she got a bit more comfortable.

Mez was adorable. Young humans were always the most fun in Kiya's opinion. When she was a dancer, they were by far her favorite clients. The sweet ones that still had that shred of innocence.

Kiya returned to her cabin and changed her clothes. Much like the outfit she wore before, she put on an open vest and a skirt that slit all the way up both her thighs. While it was an Alliance ship, Kiya was not an alliance soldier. She had a contract, but was still considered a civilian in all technicality. So, while they would prefer she wore the standard issued uniform, she used that particular loophole to get out of it.

She made her way to the control center then. They would be leaving soon she guessed, and while Lumi hadn't given the official coordinates, Kiya could speed things along by making preparations for her approximate guess. Either way, step one would be getting outside of Illium atmosphere.

As Kiya was hired to take both the role of pilot and navigation, she sat down at the control booth. "Hey Jeeves. Be a nice AI today and begin take off prep."

"Organic matter not detected in air locks. Sealing locks now." The computer that Kiya affectional had named Jeeves droned in a cool male, faintly Asarian accented voice. "Calculating Atmospheric friction levels. Calculating. Calculating. Deploying Atmospheric shield now." There was a click, and a sound slurping sound. "Argent Thames will be prepared for takeoff in. Fifteen. Minutes."

"Alrighty Jeeves. Do your thing. I'll go get the permission." Kiya patted the panel, and left the computer to finish preparations. They couldn't actually leave until Lumi gave the order. Well no time like the present!

~~~
Kiya found herself standing outside of Skylar's interrogation cell. She couldn't exactly interrupt, but she could watch and wait for Lumi to be free. Kiya crossed her arms and listened, watching through the one way glass and grinning like a Cheshire cat. Skylar wanted her to visit hm? Well…maybe she would. Depending on good behaviour. She supposed that she should be feeling bitter towards the murderess for the shot. But, Asari had long sight. It would be much better for everyone to earn Skylar's trust and cooperate. They all had a similar end goal did they not? The only problem was, getting all these short lived species to see in long sight was often a near impossible.
Primus had, to his grave regret, agreed with the Captain to not be part of the ground forces. One fantastic reason for it had been all the debate over the value of Skylar's life. As a result, he sat in solitude aboard the Argent Thames. Camera feeds from personnel gear, the hacked district and club cameras, gave him all the angles down on Illium. On two monitors there was a complex honeycomb of moving images, and any hardened military figure would watch with a straight face the violence that ensued. Yet Primus cringed - a civillian had been injured.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Primus had been outfitted in nondescript, black medium armour since the start of the operation. There had been a need to be armed in case of any necessary reinforcement, which fortunately and unfortunately did not appear. This is what he kept on when the fugitive was transported finally onto the ship. His dusty-bronze facial features - glazed with old, blue colonial tattoos all the way to the back of his spiked head - held a common, stern expression that the crew of the Thames had come to ... Love. Cough. His amber eyes went between the prisoner and the Captain, who at the moment was busy with the doctor, Vai. Another human. He waited.
Primus' salute to the captain, when her attention came to him, was a slow crossing of his talon-tipped arms. "True. Congratulations to the weapons officer." He replied about the remark of him not expecting success. The credit for their victory down on the planet he had placed upon the sniper. At the invitation to the interrogation his mouth only tightened. An infant of a smile. He followed.
Within the small, enclosed chamber the prisoner was currently kept in, Primus stood back, towering behind the two humans. His arms still crossed, his yellow eyes alight like a hateful solar flare: The Turian looked totally normal. Listening and waiting was all he practiced, while taking small mental note of the conversation. Things like 'dammit I owe a 20', 'it was made by a Geth' and 'Eagle Nebula'. A part of him did almost make him step forward and manhandle the prisoner when she got in the Captain's face. He really was just looking for an excuse. But instead of outright defending the human, he resolved to uncross his arms.
Primus thought himself to be extremely patient and forgiving in the current circumstances. He had not even insisted that the other, weird human be removed from the room. People spoke, and his eyes could have burned a hole in the wall behind Skylar as he waited. Then, finally; 'Turian stiff' - at this, his face twisted into a strange shape that no one had seen before. The teeny tiniest .. smile. As soon as it appeared, and disappeared, so did his right foot. The kick struck the chair Skylar was bound to and caused it to slide with a great tremor to the back wall of the small room.
"I'm just a Turian ... and you're right. Our goal is Sidero. Council, and the Hierarchy want the real criminal behind all your crimes. Not his mere bedmate."
He spoke, his voice level, the sound flanging in the Turian way; imagine a less exaggerated... Darth Vader. It was definitely easy to be confident with her in chains. "Bedmate, we'll use you and you'll tag along at our expense, and we find Sidero. Have as many fingers as you like. But if the trail runs cold, your usefulness is out in that same instant. Understand that it is what your life depends on from now on. And the inhibitor stays, you're not worth the trouble. Bedmate." The brig was the coldest, most distant room on the ship, that request Primus easily agreed to. The inhibitor he would never agree to touch.
The Turian's attempt to get Skylar fired up vaguely worked. She didn't enjoy being referred to as Sidero's 'bedmate.' Had she been at one point? Sure, there wasn't much she wouldn't sleep with this side of an Elcor, and even that had been a fun ride on its own. But she had always kept sex and her personal life rather separate. Sidero was the only exception, and she saw where that went. The kick to her chair was unpleasant but not unexpected. Spectres were known for having their own forms of interrogation that weren't bound by law. But Skylar held the cards in this situation, they couldn't go anywhere without her helping them, the trail had grown just as cold for them. "You'll use me? Oh do behave sir, I'll have you know it takes a bit more than some stun rounds and some handcuffs to get me in the mood. I'm not that easy. At least ply me with ryncol first." She chuckled and licked her lips a little, she'd had Turians before as well, the only problem she had with them was that they chafed a little. She looked to Lumi, diverting her attention away from the Turian. "Look, I know Sidero better than any of you. I know his tactics, his battle plans, hell, I know what kind of mouthwash he uses. Hint, it's alcoholic, but it's not mint. You want me to help, I will, because I want him dead as the rest of you. But I'll only cooperate if you all do." She held her hands up, the chains knocking against one another and making a terrible jangling noise. "The chains come off, you give me a bit of my power back, I'm not asking for a lot, just enough to make small things move easier, an actual bed to sleep in, and I will give you all Sidero's head on a silver platter. Nice and friendly. You can take my tip if you don't believe me. He's in the Eagle Nebula. Hey, if you catch him soon, we don't even have to be in this partnership for very long." Skylar was still working all the angles, but it didn't help to get angry at the Turian, she was antagonistic enough as it already stood, there was no point in making them hate her even more.
=======
Naya was sitting at the desk in her quarters, like the captain she got her own room, though hers was down on the crew deck and wasn't quite as spacious as the captain's, all she had in hers was a bed and a desk, with a closet for personal things. At the moment she had one of her arms laying on the table while she repaired one of the servos in the wrist with her other arm. She heard someone walk by her room and saw the Geth they had taken on, the one who had taken down Skylar. "Lilith! Come here for a minute would you?" Naya had tried to sound at least a little friendly and not order her around. She wanted to comment that she had done a good job on the mission, and maybe part of it could also have been her desire to have someone who was at least a little mechanically inclined help her with her arm. Doing everything one handed was a little difficult.
PostPosted: Tue Jun 09, 2015 2:57 pm
Shortly after leaving her quarters Lilith hear name called and immediately recognized it as her XO Nerezza. Upon hearing her XO's request she turned around and walked to the woman's room. You must remind your commanders that they are too informal the VI nosily buzzed. I'm off duty and so is she, the regulations are not applicable you stupid VI. she retorted almost angrily as it's presence was unwanted. When Lilith walked into the room she found Naya working on one of her robotic arms. "Something the matter commander?" she asked in her typical neutral voice. For some reason the Alliance apparently found it unnecessary to make her voice more human. Or maybe it was just one more thing they felt should be inhibited. "If you need something I'm off duty until we actually return to space." she offered.
Naya gestured to the edge of the bed with her one arm and set the screwdriver down on the desk, looking to Lilith. "I just wanted to say that you did very well on the mission, I saw what happened through the shuttle's feeds that you got us. Excellent marksmanship and trigger discipline." Naya plugged a few cords from her torso into her arm on the desk, making it do a few movements, flexing it up and rotating the wrist before she sighed and unplugged herself from it. "If it was the Krogan or the Turian with the rifle, I'm pretty sure Skylar would have "accidentally" tumbled off the edge. A civilian got hit, but they weren't too seriously injured, the doctors said she'll be fine. All in all, we secured the target with minimal casualties and hopefully we'll be on point to our objective." Naya gave her a quick rundown of the mission, even though the Geth probably didn't need it, she was mostly just making conversation. "Anyhow, I just wanted to say that you did a damn good job and I think you'll fit right in on our ship. Bunch of oddballs and weirdos we are." Dropping the screwdriver Naya gave a small huff, frustrated with the work she was doing. "Don't suppose you know anything about advanced servomotors? I'm getting wicked input lag in the wrist of this arm and it's making doing anything with my right hand problematic." Naya had to perform most of her own repairs, as they didn't have anyone with experience in cybernetics and robotics on the ship. She knew her way around her limbs after so long, but every once in a while doing repairs on her own limbs one handed got frustrating. Usually she asked for Lumi's help, but for the moment that was a no go, and she figured asking a Geth would be a good bet.
Seeing the gesture Lilith walked over and sat down on the edge of the bed. She listened as Naya gave her an informal mission review and praised her performance. Though she was more interested in Naya's arm and how it functioned since she already knew the mission. Most likely very differently than her's as her muscle structure was based on the Geth's hopper platform than standard robotics.
"If it was the Krogan or the Turian with the rifle, I'm pretty sure Skylar would have "accidentally" tumbled off the edge. A civilian got hit, but they weren't too seriously injured, the doctors said she'll be fine. All in all, we secured the target with minimal casualties and hopefully we'll be on point to our objective."
"While Krogans are typically prone to aggression and violence and may very well have simply run her off a ledge I don't see how a Turian spectre would be so sloppy." she replied obviously not grasping the sarcasm. "Also Skylar's tenacity was unexpected, though I suspect a regular round would have eliminated the threat without collateral damage." While Naya gave her the rundown she just nodded every so often as it confirmed what she already knew. After Naya's comment about the odd balls she asked "Am I a weirdo or oddball? I don't know any other synthetic beings so I have nothing to compare myself to."
"Don't suppose you know anything about advanced servomotors? I'm getting wicked input lag in the wrist of this arm and it's making doing anything with my right hand problematic."
"Well not in particular but I can probably teach myself when I have some down time and access to the extranet. Let me take a look at it though, I can probably try to find the the problem by interfacing with your arm." she told Naya. While still sitting on the bed Lilith removed her uniform jacket and set it down on the bed. Underneath it she had on an Alliance issued black sports-bra. As she stood up and moved over to Naya she said "Now I'm not sure what this will feel like for you if it does at all. I've only ever interfaced with non sapient, and non organic tissue connected machines.". Now standing by the desk she pulled a small cord out from her wrist and plugged it into Naya's arm. Soon after she ran a small electric current through the arm to map out it's wiring and connect her brain to it's electronics. She looked over to Naya to see if she was experiencing any discomfort and seeing none momentarily stopped the current. "Can you wiggle your fingers for me?" she asked Naya. Once Naya did as she asked Lilith said "I think you might have some blocked or high resistance paths in your wiring. I've done my best to shift the currents to different routes via software for now so it should be usable but for optimal results you should see a certified technician or ask me again once I've learned how to repair it and not just soft fix it"
Naya chuckled when Lilith asked if she was a weirdo or oddball, apparently they hadn't programmed in a sense of humor. "It's a figure of speech, a way of saying how we're all... unique in our own ways." She let the Geth interface with her arm, a little worried that it might be dangerous when she said she'd never done it before, after all, the arm was connected directly to her brain. Luckily things worked out for the better and Lilith was able to figure out the problem. "Sadly our technology isn't advanced enough to pull info out of a dead person's head so it looks like we've got a new passenger. She seemed a little too willing to get taken by us. I might have to keep an eye on her while she's on the ship." When Lilith said she had found the problem, Naya tried moving her wrist; the movement still had some minor lag, but it was much more manageable, as opposed to the half second of delay she was getting before. "Thanks, guess I'm going left handed for a while, can't exactly stop just anywhere to get these junk heaps fixed. I know a few people I can put some requests in for, but I shouldn't bother the Captain to bring us back to council space just to get a minor thing like this fixed." Carefully Naya plugged the rest of her arm back in and reattached it, wincing a little as the nerves connected. Shaking it off she did a quick check, rotating her arm and bending it at the elbow, checking that all the fingers were moving right. With that she packed up her tool kit and put it in the proper place in her desk and looked to the Geth. "So how do you like being on the ship? I assume it's probably fairly different for you, especially in comparison with what you've been through so far." Being the XO on the ship, Naya had been briefed along with Lumi on what exactly Lilith was, she didn't have all the details, but she knew the Geth was brought up under Alliance care, and she figured that must have been incredibly stifling.
