Although the attack hurt, Zebo tried to appear nonchalant. He yawned widely again. He was getting pretty tired, since he'd lost so much energy taking hits.

"Yawn again," muttered Emalthya. "All the hit points in the world won't help us if Pheonix is asleep and we have no defence against attacks like this..." She had to make a decision.
"Use dragon claw, Pheonix!"
Pheonix dived from the air towards Zebo, his claws extended, slashing down.

The liepard was panting with fatigue now, and he ached all over, but he yawned again.

Another miss. Emalthya was beginning to panic. They had been lucky as hell so far, but surely that would run out- and soon!
"Pheonix use earthquake!" Emalthya cried. There was nothing for it but to try and knock Zebo out before Pheonix could succumb to the sleep condition. It was a race against luck- when would the attack hit?
Pheonix threw himself up into the air and then back down, crunching the floor beneath his feet and sending concussive force through it.

Zebo growled as the ground bucked beneath his feet and threw him off balance. Giving up, he decided to attack one more time before going down.

Pheonix took the hit from shadow claw with a wince, but Emalthya sighed with relief. Physical attacks could be fought, predicted. Conditions were not something you could claw or burn or shake or blast away.
"Pheonix, Dragon claw!"
Pheonix brought his claws up and lunged at Zebo with them.

Zebo fainted, and Zinnia returned him to his pokeball. She waved to her opponent before exiting the stadium to heal her pokemon.

Emalthya waved back, a little stunned. "That was fast," she said.
Pheonix landed beside her and gave her face a 'battle finished' lick.
"Let's go get something to eat."
