"Understandable," Ichil agreed with a little nod. It was unfortunately necessary in the past for several groups of people to lay low in Oba, hybrids not the least of them. Of course they had to have done rather well if Ichil hadn't actually spotted one until now. How interesting that she should be an unbalanced mix of races!
"You do. Your markings, though. Very pretty. Could probably pass for tattoos in a tight spot, hm?" She sipped her drink again and turned the mug in her hands. "To be entirely honest, you're the first hybrid I've ever met. I'm sorry if I offend you with my questions, I'm simply curious." Another little paused followed, and then a wicked half-smile.
"So, Eleina-the-soon-to-be-shaman. I happen to know if a gathering tonight, if you might be interested. Anyone tries to give you trouble I'll just prod them with an arrow."

"More then once." she laughed. "They eyes are a little harder, but they look a little bit red in bad lighting. So I've made it work before, failed more times then succeeded but never been in any serious trouble."
When the girl apologized she raised a hand. "There is no need to say sorry. You weren't rude at all. The fact that you're taking you time here to sit and talk to me means more then I could even explain. Not all purebloods are so kind." she sipped at her drink and shrugged. It was just a fact, something she tried not to let bother her so much.
She laughed at the title. "Well I'd love to go, and I have a feeling that by your side no one would bother me." she shook her head. "I really am grateful for your company, although this place is pretty safe I don't normally have as much fun talking to people as I have today with you."

Ichil smiled and offered a little nod of understanding. Oh, good. She certainly wasn't trying to be offensive, but people sometimes got prickly about races and appearances. It was all pretty silly, she thought. Everyone bled the same. It was a shame that 'purebloods' like her chose to be pushed away rather than engage in interesting conversation. Fools.
"Well, you're probably right with that," the Oban said then, puffing out her chest for a moment and then just laughing. Really, nobody seemed to bother her at parties, perhaps because she was so keen on interacting with everyone anyway. It was always more fun to come with company, though. "Good! I'm glad to hear it. I'd much rather be chatting with someone than sitting and drinking alone."
a pet dino I don't know if you want to just assume they go to the party, or rp it and have some hybrid conflict or have Ichil get caught by a noble or find themselves a shaman if it wouldn't futz up your plots, whatever you'd like. :3

She laughed at the other girl. "Yes, although it is fun to people watch it is much better when you can tell someone else your assumptions about others." she took a sip of her drink. She was thankful, more then she had expressed. Being around purebloods that didn't treat her as anyone different made her happy. It also made her less worried about traveling. If there were more people like Ichil out there she would be well off.
Finishing her drink she placed it on the table. "Well I'm done, and ready to go if you are." she said with a smile.
grasshopper pie Well once I finish this RP she can grow, so I kind of want to wait for more RPs. But after I think we should have another with the two! I like their dynamic. Though I think we could leave it at them leaving and then just assume they had fun? Or even have the lasts post here be a timeskip to them leaving the party?

Ichil gave one last sound of agreement and tipped her drink back, drinking what remained quickly so the two could leave and head to the party. Wonderful! She really enjoyed bringing others into the party scene of Oba, especially if they seemed quiet or... different, somehow. Hybridism itself wasn't really that big of a "difference," but people-watching and shamanism? Why not?
"Come on," she said, standing and motioning for Eleina to follow. "It's gonna be a big one! Consider that your fair warning." Her smile was cheeky and excited as they headed out toward the party's location.
a pet dino Oh, yay, growth! Sure, I'd love another RP later. Ichil seems to have developed a habit of taking pretty girls to parties. I'm good with assuming they had fun and just off-camera developing their friendship a bit~

Eleina was excited, more so then normally. She laughed. "I excel in settings with large people." she smiled and followed Ichil out the door. Normally she liked large parties because she could hide in the background, but she had a very big feeling that it wouldn't be like that this time. She was ready to stand out, and she was pretty sure with Ichil at her side that she wouldn't have to be worried.
Things were finally starting to look up for her.
