He tried all he could to make sense of Camelot's words. He had a wonder? I place where his power came from, and that wonder was powered by a planet? It was a strange feeling, but in the end it was a comfort. Long nights he had spent, starting out at the night sky, pondering the different works that must have existed. Planets far beyond that may hold life. "If I am a Knight for Pluto, does that mean that there are others like me? Other Pluto knights, people on Pluto itself?" Even as he said the words, images from his dream one more popped into his head. That grey, barren landscape. He shivered, glancing into Camelot's eyes, a hauntedness there, deep inside them. "How do I get the answers I seek?" His voice was soft, whispering as he lowered his eyes. He was a warrior for justice, but there had to be more, it felt life so much more than that. "We are not just fighters...what else will I learn from this?"

"Yes, there are! I know of a couple of other Pluto knights, and I'm sure you'll be able to meet more soon enough. You will learn a lot more about your Wonder in due time, and you will be able to visit what was once the home of your namesake, or even your ancestor." He smiled, knowing it sounded very complicated, but it was a journey every knight had to make for themselves to truly understand what it meant.
He felt it was a right of passage, like a hurdle in the growth of a knight, to discover their Wonder and find their signet ring. It was a deeply personal event, and it was meant to tie them to their past, as well as open the doors to their future. They could decide what kind of a knight they wanted to be, while learning about who the ones that came before them had been.
Or maybe he was just being that old fuddy duddy that loved the idea of heroic epics. Sometimes he wondered if he was not a bit too much the librarian.
"I can tell you that you will be made to learn a lot, and sometimes more than you want. There will be battles, and there will be difficult times, but you have a power that few can claim. You have a connection to a past that unites all of us, and from your Wonder you will be able to draw a lot of the answers about your new self. I, of course, will help you with as much as I can. I am at your service."

He tried his best to understand, he tried to take it in, but it all came out as foreign speech to him. He understood descendants, he understood ancestors, but at his wonder? He was to meet his past at his wonder? "How do I reach Nirvana? I mean, I know what the religious types would say, but I am assuming that it holds little truth here. You tell me Nirvana is a place, a well and true place...?" He ran his hands through his hair in a frustrated gesture, his eyes closing as he tried to sound like anything but a blubbering fool. He was an educated man, but none of this, none, had come up in his studies, not even in those of the occult. "At this wonder, who will I meet? What will I see and how well I know it is true? " He listed for this new information, the magic of this new life taking hold of his mind and making him curious. "...and...how do I learn to fight? You saw me there, I am not really a battle hardened sort. " he chuckled rather nervously. Holy hell! Chantal, his mother and father! How would they take this news? Did he even tell them what had happened? Perhaps, for now it was best he keep them in the dark.

"that path will come to you soon. The ability to visit your Wonder is something you have to learn for yourself. I can tell you how it works, in general, but until you're ready and experience it for yourself, you won't really know. There is a pledge, and you will need to clear your mind to hear it."
He smiled, tilting his head thoughtfully.
"I could take you to my Wonder, some time, to show you. I might not be able to lead you to yours, but I can at least show you Camelot. Unfortunately, a lot of your questions are things you will have to experience for yourself, and what waits for you at your Wonder is very unique to your past and the power you now have. It is different for every knight."
"But as far as fighting goes, I can show you what I know. Training, practice and sparring with others is, I find, the best way to learn to be stronger. Of course, you'll likely get a lot of unwelcome lessons, as fights can sometimes... ah... fall on us without us being prepared. Hopefully, though, you'll be able to get some training in before you're forced to face a difficult enemy."

A pledge? He closed his eyes for a but a moment, trying to think what such a pledge might be. He could feel the stirrings of the memories just behind his eyes. He could feel the words forming on his tongue and he smiled. It was a comfort to him, to know that he could do these things and perhaps they were not a confusing as they seemed to be. He opened one eye and chuckled as the other mentioned taking him to Camelot. It seemed like it would be a good way to pick up girls, if nothing else, and if someone were to overheard them, he could only imagine the looks they would be getting. "You sound like you are trying to pick me up, you know that right?" He winked playfully before crossing his arms over his mostly bare chest. He knew there were many new things he would need to get use to, and "Take me to your wonder" seemed like it would be one that he would need to get a grip on and fast. He swallowed his laughter, stifling the sarcastic comments that seemed to want to flow freely tonight. Camelot did not deserve his teasing, but some good poking never hurt anyone. He gave the man the full of his attention, his eyes shining at the idea that he could, perhaps see the legendary city. "You do know that Camelot is one of them any areas of study I have managed to excel in, yes? That and Arthurian Legend is perhaps of of my biggest vices when it comes to reading, when it is not for educational purposes." it was a fact, he did have a thing to medieval romance, as well as the thrill of the knights and the code of honor of which they upheld. it was ironic of course that he was destined to be a knight himself, when he had done so very much research, not only for himself, but for his sister and her love of dragons, knights and princesses. "i would very much like to visit Camelot at some point. Though I will not be able to tell my little princess of the tale, it will be something that I can put in the memory banks for later use." He thought about the fighting, the training that he would need. He was quick, this was true, but in the end he was not a fighter. "I will welcome any sort of training that you can muster. All my skill comes from chance, nothing more...I need to learn and I know that all too well.

"Pick you up...? Oh. Oh, no. Uhm."
Camelot always got flustered when people teased him in that particular way. He was not prudish, really, just incredibly awkward. He used to be much worse, but being a Knight helped him develop some social skills. Still, they were limited and once he hit his limit, he turned into a stumbling, easily embarrassed wreck.
In shining armor.
He was very glad for the change in subject, though, his face red enough as it was.
"I didn't know that, about your studies. Uh. I'm glad to hear it, though. You might appreciate what you find there, or it might paint a different picture to the one you have. Either way, it's very interesting to be able to visit a place that others only speculate about. Your own Wonder will be much the same."
Clearing his throat, he nodded his head and offered the other a bow.
"Well, then, we'll arrange to meet up some time, and your training can begin. I'll let you go for now, I'm sure you're rather overwhelmed as it is, and could do with a bit of a rest from all this information."

The blush on the mans face was more than enough to satisfy the other. It was not every day that the awkward, young, now knight, could flirt with a male and not be the one turning red. He chuckled lightly, hiding behind his hair for a moment before the conversation returned to the seriousness of the situation. He was a knight. He could visit wonders. He would also visit his own namesake, as well as, perhaps, the kingdom he had once been sworn to protect. It was bittersweet news, for he had a feeling, deep in his heart, that although he was pleased to have this calling, the things he would find would break his heart. It was only when the other spoke of leaving that Gabriel was pulled again from his thoughts. So soon? He could not even form the words in his mouth before he cocked his head and took a step toward the other. "A rest is nice, but it will hardly calm my mind. I can only think of a million more questions, and without a mentor, or a friend at my side that can explain, I fear I might go mad." He chuckled to himself. "I am to do what with this power? Simply live my life and on the off chance of attack, use it to fight? Am I to be like a superhero and seek out these battles? Are there others that I should contact to learn more of this life? Camelot, I fear I will drive you mad with my inquiries." He lowered his head, his face hidden in his hair as he ran one hand over his arm. "But, you are correct, I cannot keep you. Another night then...though I do not know how I will find you. I know nothing of who you really are."
