Mid step Archer had turned his head, looking back to Cassi as she'd made a rather abrupt stop all of a sudden. He'd been quick to notice her body language had changed, he wasn't sure to exactly what...but it was a change none the less. His ears perked up as she expressed a very real senario, but for this...he didn't need time to think. Instead, he let out a little chuckle; shaking his head. "Of course I could. If I can love my family, as if they were all my mother with no hesitation...I see no reason my heart would not feel the same about other bonds. If I could not feel for someone with the entirety of my being, I would not be in love. I do not give up those I love...it is a light topic but I do not take it lightly." He looked ahead a moment, wondering if his grandmother and aunt would be awake yet, but looked back when he'd remembered something else needing to be said. "If I could not cherish someone's heart as if it was a priceless treasure for the rest of my life; I would have no right to call them mine or say to love them in such a half assed manner."

Once she caught back up to him he smiled, resuming their prior pace as the lands around them began to get more and more familiar. "Correct. A lot of stallions are out to have fun and well...other things. While I may not share the same ideals as my family who have found that one special soul for them...mine isn't looking for just one. There are so many admirable things one can be, that it couldn't possibly reside in just one being. Mhmm....Its not that I don't enjoy the company of other males, we are just at different stages in life than the ones I met." He found himself giving a gentle bite to his lip, he couldn't remember the last time he'd rolled his eyes so much as the one fellow in the group by the stream bragging about his recent 'conquest'. Juvenile.

"Absolutely. Firstly, if it was a forced affair I would kill the one who dare hurt one dear to me...but aside from such a troubling thought, of course! What kind of stallion in right mind could turn away from such a honor; they would be no different than my own flesh and blood." Archer snorted loud, earning a hearty chuckle in the aftermath. "I'm sure I will reach a time where I will no longer be able to sire children, there is a reason for such a thing to happen. If she wanted more, I would do everything in my power to help her find someone who could give her it. It is not the first time I have heard of surrogacy. Rumors be there are many pairs out there who cannot breed at all thanks to being different species; and have plenty of children to call their own despite it."

Archer felt his side twitch in surprise as the sudden warmth and closeness she gave him, his eyes glancing her way. He'd almost forgotten where he was going, but knew now was not the time to wander off into who knows where. To say the least, he was thankful she at the very least had an open mind about his grandmother. She could think whatever the hell she wanted about him...but not Nimue. "She wont shut up really...she just hums and sings to herself all day if she could. I'm sure if you ask she'd be happy to tell you." He assured, but then felt himself blink not once, but thrice. "Quite the opposite...a mare is at her most beautiful while expecting; there is something truly magical about it that I cannot put my hoof on. I'd sit there all day with her if I could. Of course that paternal role belongs to my Grandpa so I am just contented with watching and helping when needed when he is gone."

Giving her a gentle bump back, he added as they passed through a particular thick underbrush. "You will make a fine mother queen someday, Cassi. I'm not sure if you would truly need an army though; you are capable as is." He mused.

Cassial watched him for a long moment as they walked, she didn’t say anything just looked him over. Listening to everything he had to say and finding herself slightly floored by just who the silly stallion was shaping up to be. He was more than she had ever really met, not that that made much sense of course but it was true. She had met several on her travels but none even close to what Archer was. When she had first met him she had expected a flirt, a player perhaps. As it had progressed he was a player with a good head on his shoulders and good goal. He was constantly surprising her, all the assumptions she drew about him seemed to be wrong. So perhaps you would think she would learn to stop drawing her own conclusions about him. Of the stallions she had met, none had prepared her for Archer, she didn’t really think anyone could have prepared her for him.

“You’re something else.” She spoke finally affection in her tone. Perhaps it was she just hadn’t met all the good stallions the world had to offer? No, that wasn’t the case, she had met good stallions before just not like this. It was quite the experience for her and it kept her faltering slightly. One day he would have his family, of that she was sure.

“She sounds lovely you know. Your grandmother I mean, if she lets me I’ll teach her some of the strange tunes I know from far off. Crazy lullabies about pharaohs, mummies and sand. Those that wander the endless sand sea have a curious way about living.” She mused softly as she shook her head, remembering her time spent there.

She hummed softly to herself for a moment before smiling. “You think? Perhaps I will then. Just be queen mommy, and all the little ones shall love me.” She snorted softly to herself at the thought, trying to picture it in her head. “You know, I think my deepest fear would be that one of my own would end up like myself. That I wouldn’t be strong enough, or my mate wouldn’t be strong enough, or the foal wouldn’t be strong enough and we would be torn from each other. They would be left alone to wander the world looking for a family to love them. Thinking the whole time that I didn’t care, I didn’t love them with everything I was.” She shivered slightly again and crinkled her nose up in distaste. “That’s a lie, my deepest fear is that they would hate me and not even bother looking.” She flicked her tail shaking her head slightly to dispell the thoughts as she glanced ahead of them having fallen silent.

"Aren't I?" Archer puffed his chest to exaggerate his ego, snorting in pride in a way that was clear he was being a tease. The little talk had left his stomach with the fluttering of moths, steely eyes watching the mare through a half glance. Once deflated he found contentment in their gentle but progressive strides to his homeland; which he was fairly certain was around around that rocky cropping up ahead. "I am but a product of my family...while different, I owe most of what I am to them." As could be said for so many people, and although she did not have her parents with her; he could tell that she was a product of her own will - and that was impressive on its own.

Leaning in close with his head he brought his lips to her ear, breathing hot air into them. "Just don't fall for me, it might get you in trouble with your army." The stallion drew his head forward more so he could see her face.

"I do. You have that kind of charisma that children would flock to." He smirked, tilting his head for a moment. Things changed, though, as it seemed she fell into a moment of her own unease, and it changed his expression to a smirk to a thoughtful frown. "I cannot see the plausibility of either, Cassi. You are the break in the chain now...I cannot see you sitting back if a child of yours had been lost; or at least not taking a sweet a** time like your father seems to be. I guess I shouldn't be talking since we haven't found our missing family; but what's the saying hell hath no fury than a mother scorned? With what you know now...it wont be a possibility. They wont need to look as they wouldn't be lost..." But really, in the case of Sapphire she was mobile, and had her own mental illness. She was a case much harder, like her father as someone who could make distance, than a immobile basket.

"Besides, who could hate a cute little dragonfly like you?" He chuckled, picking up his pace as he rounded the bend. They'd arrived in the main area his grandma resided in; resting against a mossy yet rocky hillside was a deep cave, and in the center of the small clearing bathed in moonlight laid Nimue. She'd curled around herself in a way, her very swollen stomach occasionally twitching as her head was neatly resting on the cool grass. With a glance around Archer couldn't see Airlia, but it didn't stop him from gently trotting to Nimue's back and leaning down. Lipping at her hair he smiled and nosed her cheek. "Grandma ~ I'm home. I brought someone back who'd like to meet you. Her name is Cassial." Lifting his head up he glanced back to her, while Nimue lifted her own head as cascades of black hair fell from her neck to dangle at her side.

"Brought....friend?" Nimue breathed out, exerting as she tried to re-position herself into a lazy lying position; dark eyes shifting to the mare in question. "Ladyfriend..." She smiled, sofly, taking mental note that she'd never had anyone bring strangers back to her home for her to meet.

“Puh-lease like I could ever fall for you.” She teased back, a shiver running down her spine at his closeness making her ear fall back against her head. He was so brazen, so terribly, wonderfully, brazen. Cassi huffed at him, puffing up her cheeks slightly as if she wasn’t sure what else to say.

She fell silent though as he spoke about her being the break in the chain. His words soothed her in a way she wasn’t really expecting. No one had ever really assured her that it wouldn’t happen, that she was stronger than that. Why it meant so much for someone to say it she wasn’t sure but it meant a lot that he had. Perhaps sometimes she just needed the reassurance, she never had before but then again no one had ever really offered it before. If one thing held true when she met others she was usually helping them through their troubles, never mind her own.

“Ah!” Cassi had been about to respond, some retort on her lips when they rounded the corner and he pranced forward to the side of a clearly pregnant mare. Cassial couldn’t recall a time she had seen one so round with foal. It was quite an amazing site, she was lovely, her hair dark as night fell in messy curls around her head. That explained where Archer got his hair, her wings looked as soft as a swan’s downy feathers but as black as a crows.

She realized a bit belatedly that she had been starring in something a bit like awe and shook her head a smile curling her lips. “Hello miss Nimue, it is a pleasure to meet you.” Cassi stated, her tone soft as she took careful steps forward, so gentle were her steps that she made barely a sound. She stopped several paces back not wanting to impose on the mare’s personal space but it was clear she was terribly curious.

“You must be very far along with littles. Archer had told me you were with foal but I didn’t expect it. Of course, come to think of it, I’ve never seen a pregnant mare so I don’t really know what I was expecting to see.” She smiled softly glancing up at Archer from her standing position, clearly using his body language and eyes for clues. She was a bit out of her depth but she didn’t seem all that scared, more just worried that she might somehow cause Nimue some sort of distress if she moved too much. She wasn’t a large mare, and the ground did not shake when she moved, but she still worried it might disturb the one on the ground.

Upon further inspection of his grandmother, Archer came to the conclusion he was gone much longer than he should have. She wasn't nearly so large last time he left to go explore some more, taking his leave once his mother had set off for any signs of her niece. He made a mental note that he shouldn't stray far in case his grandfather did not return in time, he knew his mother and his aunt would need the help when Nimue went into labor. His eyes flicked up to Cassi momentarily as she approached yet slowly sunk back to the nearly ethereal form of his grandmother.

"Yes Grandma.." Archer's velvet tones nearly purred out, his most tender and soothing voice coming into light. "She's got a good heart, you'll like her." He assured, but gave a pointed look around. "Where's auntie?"

Nimue remained in her soft stare towards Cassi before her ears flicked, head soon following to her grandson. "Airlia baby is asleep. Hush....hush now my baby, be still love - don't cry..." Her tones shifted to a melodious nature as she glanced back to the cave behind her. "Such pain....love. Such pain..." She sighed, saddened eyes trailing to meet Archers'.

"I see. I'm here now, though, and Cassi. We will keep you company till she wakes up. Cassi..." He nosed her head in Cassi's direction once again. "She's going to stay over." Nimue was once again focusing on Cassi, a forlorn smile spreading on her lips. "Nimue likes Cassi...." She breathed, wrangling enough of her jumble of thoughts to rope together a proper sentence. "Nimue loves squirmy babies....big babies...but babies. Bigger....bigger than last time. Such pretty....pretty little girls..." She sighed, looking around for a moment, when she didn't see her daughters she turned back to Cassi and Archer.

"Your babies will be here soon...you can't walk very well can you Grandma?" He asked, coming around her front and laying down beside her with his legs nearly folded facing her stomach. "May I?" He asked, grinning with glee when she'd nodded and smiled; resting her head back on the ground. Leaning his head down he pressed his cheek on her swollen stomach, using the opportunity to motion with his eyes to the space beside him for Cassi. Since he would be between his grandma's head and Cassi in this position, if such a flare up occurred he'd be able to counter with his own horn to hold her off. She seemed in a very calm mood though, so he was sure it wouldn't come to it. Without moving his cheek as he could feel the movement he flicked his tail lightly behind him. "Come, Cassi. Its alright...you gotta feel this."

Cassi’s heart ached at the sight, she wasn’t very sure why just that it did. She had seen this before, the broken words, not quite sure of herself, Visani displayed similar symptoms, but Nimue seemed much worse off. The gentle melody and the forlorn smile made Cassial want to protect this sweet one. She remembered Archer’s warning, but it was hard to imagine being skewered by her right now.

“Cassi likes Nimue too, very much.” She gave the warmest smile towards the other mare before following Archer’s eyes moving to curl up against his side. Cassi lowered herself to the ground very carefully, making painfully sure not to jostle anyone. “Cassi likes babies too. You sing beautifully miss Nimue.” She spoke carefully watching Nimue over Archer’s back. She had found that if she spoke in third person for Visani it sometimes helped her. She wasn’t sure if the same held true for Nimue but she figured it might.

“You really love kids huh?” She asked Archer softly as she leaned against him. She hadn’t reached out and touched the belly but her nose was close to it as she watched. She could see it almost quiver from time to time, it looked terribly uncomfortable but Nimue seemed to find no problems with it at all. “It won’t be long will it? She makes it look so easy but it must be terribly uncomfortable.” Cassi moved slightly, blinking her eyes for a moment as she realized a bit belatedly how late it had gotten.

“Do you all sleep during the day?” She queued at Archer, realizing that it was actually fairly late and yet they both seemed pleasantly awake. She herself was already starting to grow weary, but then she supposed she had been awake much longer than Archer. Still she wouldn’t sleep, not right now and likely not tonight either. She would have an interesting time starting her travels again she mused, her sleeping schedule would be all skewed if she stayed very long.

Archer closed his eyes for a moment or two, feeling the quiver and gentle rolling wave that was a future baby uncle of aunt of his. Oh, how he wished mother was here to see it...although he was sure she had prior to leaving. He didn't feel the need to pay too much attention to Cassi as she hunkered down beside him, with the slowness of her movements she was being careful enough. It was hard to discern how many lives were in there, it seemed possible for two, perhaps three? He knew his family was mostly on the larger scale despite such a petite mare; she was even smaller than Cassi! To how her body had handled such births were beyond hon; considering his aunt towered over even he.

"Grandma's lullabies are the best." Archer opened his steel eyes and lifted his head, reluctantly, to glance Cassi's way as she was leaning over him. "None of us are really singers, so I like to think she's making up for it." Checking on Nimue it had seemed she'd closed her eyes temporarily, perhaps catching a quick cat nap. "You should see her actually sing, not just her feelings put into lyrics. It's so pretty it breaks your heart."

He'd never forget the first time he heard it as a foal, it was the first time he'd ever cried.

"I do..." His half lidded eyes looked to the sky, seeing remnants of stars amongst the openings in the canopy of leaves around them. Bathed in the moonlight it was as close as his grandmother ever got to sunlight these days, especially in her pregnancy it was just too hot to come out into the world when she had a hard time standing. "Not as much as I love my family....but its pretty close. Since these kids will be my family...yes. So much so it hurts sometimes." He would do just anything for them, the lot of them. "She's used to it I imagine. My aunt is much bigger than I, even. For such a small mare with big foals I couldn't imagine. Even my mother is fairly large considering having me and my sisters. I think only Aunties missing daughter is a runt like thing similar to Nimue...or so I was told."

"Yes, for the most part we do. My mother is semi nocturnal, kind of like my schedule. She's awake a little longer in the daylight, but she's been moving her sleep around for years and is pretty good at adjusting to whatever time she needs to be awake. My aunt is purely nocturnal like grandma, Grandma has a domain, after all." He grinned, having felt oddly proud of the fact he was related to a domained angeni. "She is a mare of the Fallen, I haven't really seen her in action, but i'm sure she's just amazing. I heard some of them have powers...." To wether his grandma had them she wasn't sure, but considering her mental instability they were probably locked away.

Aghhhh sorry for the sucktastic reply. I couldn't get it to flow right and didn't know where I wanted to go with it but I wanted to get it rolling again soooo yeah. XD If you wanna bounce to the next day that's fine.

Cassi brushed her nose gently along the belly before her, so careful of disturbing Nimue in her nap. She could feel the gentle roll of the foals locked inside; it was amazing to think how many might be in there. The mare slowly lifted her head and smiled, the thought of Nimue actually singing was a beautiful one.

“I imagine she does, it would be wonderful to hear it one day.” Her voice was soft, extremely so. She lowered her head back down to rest upon Archer’s back, her eyes fluttering closed as she listened to his breathing. The sound was slowly lulling her towards sleep.

“You’d be a good dad, you know that? I don’t think you’d have any trouble raising foals. You’re dedication is stunning honestly.” Cassial mumbled softly as she gave a slight yawn tucking her nose down slightly into Archer’s mane. “You deserve a family of your own.” She tucked herself down further as she spoke, her voice becoming slightly hazy and distant. As if perhaps sleep had already taken her and somehow she was still talking.

The idea of staying up all night didn’t quite meet with Cassi well. She had done it before but it was easier to travel by day and because of that she had always been a day person. So though she was pushing herself, and this was what Archer was used to it was hard for her. She wanted to stay awake, to learn more about him and his family but it was growing increasingly hard for her to focus.

She could hear Archer speaking and in her mind she had the reply but her mouth was unwilling to work with her. Something was mumbled out but it was nearly impossible to tell what was said as her breathing began to even out. Cassial had been traveling all morning and all day, she was physically exhausted but a part of her knew it was rude to fall asleep on her host.

The mare shook her head slightly as if maybe this would chase away the sleep that was clinging to every fiber of her body. “I’m sorry.” She mumbled softly before blinking her eyes and glancing at Archer. “You’re grandmother is very special. I wonder what it’s like, having a domain, and those sorts of powers.” The mare yawned wide before shaking her head and lowering it back down to curl between Archer’s shoulder blades. It was painfully obvious that she was battling sleep that every fiber of her being was battling as she lay curled against him.

"I'm sure you will. If you get her in the right mind frame she does like to sing. Maybe not her lullaby but she's still as haunting with other songs." Archer smirked, his eyes trailing back as he watched the mare curl up into him more. He quite enjoyed the fact her face was resting on his back, her cheek bringing a warmth he missed when he was out on his own and not curled up against someone. It was sometimes hard being a bit of a social butterfly in a family of reclusive souls...but he wouldn't change it. Besides, with the time he did spend out he was sure that he could find someone to cuddle with if he really wanted. A brow raised under his mask as he rolled the idea around on his tongue a bit....he would make an excellent parent, wouldn't he? A lavish idea really...but he knew his plan for children was perhaps a little more skewed than to achieve a father or the year title. "Well, my dear. There is no mistaken I will have foals. Whether I deserve them or not is entirely up for debate." He sassed, that mischievous glint in his blue eyes unable to be missed.

Archer was no stranger to the gentle slur of her voice due to lack of sleep, there were many mornings he struggled to stay up from a delay in the changing of the 'guard' if one would call it that - yet it was simply a matter of enduring till another family member came to. However, he wasn't about to keep her up, not for long anyways. It did give him a bit of a ego when he did take watch, he enjoyed looking after others, be it family, mares, or foals; a sense of rush and accomplishment that he was strong enough to ensure their safety.

"I'm sure it has as many burdens as rewards, as do many actions and roles in life." He turned his neck to nose some of her mane into place, even though its spunky shortness had other plans. Oh well. She looked asleep, but when her eyes opened to peek at him she was given a warm smile in return. She was sure trying hard, wasn't she?

While he was not a singer by any stretch of the imagination, he had a smooth voice, and could carry a tune. So, he did as his grandmother did - and sang. It was soft, slightly upbeat, more of a melodious dialogue than full blown singing.
"Dear friend, here we are again pretending
To understand how you think your world is ending
Sending signals and red flags in waves
It's hard to tell the difference between blood and water these days
I'll pray that one day you see
The only difference between life and dying
Is one is trying, that's all we're called to do
So try to love me and I'll try to save you.

Won't you stay alive
I'll take you on a ride
I will make you believe you are lovely."
He ended with a hum, the tune he'd heard; and once more, found himself standing guard till the morning.

Daylight was breaking over the horizon, casting the skies in beautiful colors as clouds were rolling in from the east. He'd been up all night, easily, gently and quietly talking to his grandmother who had eventually fallen asleep. Now, his attention was on his aunt who had emerged from the cave to find a scene she was rather irate to wake up to.

".....But Auntie.." Archer insisted in a whisper, eyes narrowed to his dear aunt and mentor.

"....No buts, Archer. How could you, and of all things to bring someone normal here?" Her wings were twitching, clearly trying to hold in her irritability over the subject; her voice cracking from a whisper as it was clear she wanted to yell if it wouldn't wake up Nimue.

"Auntie...do you think I am as stupid to bring back someone of real danger to you, to grandmother? She will not cause any trouble, she is of open heart. If she proves to be anything but I will merely end her where she stands. Or have you not taught me well enough to end someone without any traits which would be utilized as weapons?" His hard stare locked onto hers, while he was mad at the accusations, Archer was not about to back down; all while keeping his tone and words as respectful as possible. Airlia was still his aunt, after all - and he knew her heart was in the right place even when her mind was not. "Just because I have company does not mean I cannot watch this family to full potential." He affirmed, to which he was relieved to see his aunt consider this, and back down.

"No. You are capable, Archer. You know my stance on normals..." She growled, looking away as she surveyed her surroundings, Airlia hadn't meant to fall asleep...but she had; and although she woke in a sour mood; the day could still be salvaged. "Next time you wake me and inform me. Next time I will not hesitate to slit someone's throat for intruding."

"I know....and of course, Auntie. My apologies, I will seek your approval next time." He nearly purred out, offering a charming smile he knew she could not resist. Archer watched her sigh, shaking her head. "I will never understand how you tolerate them." She mused, slightly, before walking off to gather some food for Nimue when she should awake.

Cassial hadn’t been in the state of mind to sass him back, her tired brains having trouble coming up with a comeback. So instead of retorting she merely nipped lightly at the back of his neck before returning to her resting position. That would have to do for now. Though she did have to wonder at just what he meant when he said things like that. A part of her felt it was just play but another part wondered at what darker parts lay beneath. As there was little doubt in her mind that there were darker parts there. Then again didn’t everyone have some secrets they didn’t want others to know? Her ears fell back a moment before the feeling of his breath in her mane had them flicking forward.

She hadn’t expected him to start singing, she wasn’t sure what she had been expecting but it wasn’t that. So when he had started up it had shocked her at first, not enough for her to lift her head from its resting spot but still. The tune brought a smile to her face, the vibrations of his voice pulling her even further under the black curtain. It was low and deep, a sort of thrum that spoke of protection and soothed her.

Cassial slept hard, her dreams colorful smears across her unconscious. It was one of those nights where she couldn’t recall what she’d dreamt about. Only that they hadn’t been bad dreams and that she had in fact dreamt. Yet as she woke they trickled through her conscious mind like sand in an hourglass. Of course it didn’t help that she’d awoken to hushed angry tones. They drove her awake quicker than she might have otherwise liked. Years of protecting herself and sleeping alone in the wilds had taught her to wake on a dime.

However she didn’t move at first, instead keeping still and just listening. She sensed danger but wasn’t quite sure it was best to move just yet. It wasn’t like she was meaning to ease drop but when her life stood in the balance… well. She trusted Archer though, for the most part anyway. Once she was sure it was safe she peaked open an eye and glanced at the tussled red and purple mane before her. She found the color quite enticing, a small smile crossed her lips as she leaned forward to tuck her nose into it.

“Good morning.” She spoke, her tone whisper soft so as not to wake the other mare. The poor thing seemed like she needed all the sleep she could get. She imagined it was hard work growing foals.

“I didn’t mean to cause strife between you and your family. Thank you though, for giving me a safe place to rest last night.” Cassi stated moving her head slightly from its previous position on her back. She eyed him slightly for a moment before rolling her shoulders to stretch them. He had to be tired, she was sure of it. She hesitated a moment as if she wasn’t sure what exactly to do. It was probably best if she left but she didn’t want to rush out and offend. Yet she didn’t want to stay around and upset his family it left her in quite the predicament. It was clear on her face that she was wrestling with something though, the frown tugging slightly at her lips.

Watching his aunt walk off into the forest shadows, he gave a bit of a sigh as the tension he felt of the little confrontation eased off his shoulders. It was inevitable the little talk would happen as he knew very well his aunt's stance on normals....but, in his humble opinion the mare at his backside wasn't so normal. Just as he knew his aunt was not as her looks made her out to be...sometimes, but not all the time. Ears slid back as he felt movement, hearing the change in her breathing now that he was left in the silence; turning to gaze down at the very awake female.

Ah - s**t.

"Good Morning, Dragonfly.." He rumbled, eyes half lidding as her nose found its way into his hair and her breath tickled the flesh back there. Maybe she hadn't heard? Maybe - oh. No, there it was. A frown pulled at his brows, giving his head a little shake. "Cassi...Don't make it sound like you're leaving." He said softly, before a bit of a wicked grin stretched on the corner of his lips. "I don't recall giving you permission to, anyways." He toyed, leaning back against the mare to somewhat roll her away from him; conscious of his grandmother while getting up on his hooves. Once on them he was rather swift to step over her; dipping his head down so his nose was on hers always mindful of his horns.

"You would make my grandmother very upset if you left while she slept." He said plainly, ice blue eyes moving across her face as if thinking of something himself...but didn't seem to speak what may or may not have been on his mind. "Don't mind my Auntie. She has had too many bad run ins with those...who don't share odd traits like we do. Thus she's made habit not to have anything to do with the lot of 'em to spare herself." Plus the fact she was still reeling from her loss. "So don't take it to heart, Dragonfly." He imagined from the look on her face she was feeling a little guilty, but he would have none of that. Turning his head he gave her neck a little n** and jumped away from her so he wasn't hovering over, trotting around the clearing as his tail flicked in mischief.

"Once my aunt returns how about you and I dig up some breakfast ourselves?" Now that she had rested he was sure his aunt would be more than fine to take watch of Nimue...which meant he could spend a little more time with this mare....this rather intriguing mare. For, if Archer was honest with himself, he too would be a little too upset if she up and left now as well...he had spend most of the evening thinking back on their conversation prior.

The look of hesitance and worry was quickly replaced by one of indignation at Archer’s response. Look at mister saucy pants who clearly wasn’t as tired as she had previously presumed he would be. On the flip side at least she knew he wasn’t chasing her off or wanted her to go. It made her feel a bit better to know that he was at least in her corner as far as it was concerned. She’d ideally like to keep her friendship with the stallion. Even she’d only know him a day, the mare was beyond sure there was a friendship to be had here.

“Excuse you.” She huffed at him her tone soft though she did manage a glare up at him as he stood over her. She butted her nose against his leg lightly. Cassial’s eyes danced slightly with curiosity at his look but he didn’t seem intent to explain his thoughts. Her head canted slightly to the side as he explained about his aunt. This could be the one that had lost the daughter and if she’d been terrorized by normal looking soquili then it made sense that she’d be defensive. Not that Cassi would ever say anything or do anything to hurt her, to the best of her ability anyway. Admittedly as soon as Archer had stated his grandmother would be upset if she left before the little mare woke Cassi’s mind had been made up. The aunt would have to deal at least until Cassial had gotten to say goodbye to Nimue. Though if she could help it she would do her best to stay out of the way. She didn’t want to cause undue stress.

The little mare’s mind had been focusing on her innermost thoughts when a n** came to her neck making her start slightly. Cassi glared slightly at him, already up to his tricksy self this morning. Didn’t he know it was far too early for this, she’d only just woken up. With a small snort she rose to her feet and trotted after him, chasing him slightly around the clearing. Eventually butting her head against his shoulder playfully before prancing away, her short bobbed tail swishing playfully.

“Now that does sound like a grand idea. You do know how to treat a lady after all. Even if you do tease her so early in the morning.” She teased the lilt in her voice a dead giveaway of her amusement. Her attraction to this stallion wasn’t practical and she knew it. He was a flirt, a tease, and absolutely a heart breaker. Cassial had heard the stories from various mares of the flirty stallion, and while she didn’t have any experience she was pretty sure Archer fit the bill. Yet there was something different about him, his family, something about it drew her in with the want to know more. She almost needed to know more, to learn, to understand them.

“I will however have you know that I don’t eat meat. Despite how I might n** at you.” She stated over her shoulder as she more fully inspected the area around them. It had been too dark the night before for her to really inspect where they were staying. So she took the time now, and admittedly it gave her something more to do than watch Archer and the way he moved. So that maybe she could imprint this upon her memory so as to never lose it.
