Teiluj jumped as the arrow struck the tree in front of her. She hadn't expected Aselia to recover so quickly giving a yelp as the woman quickly closed the distance between them. Reaching up into the tree Teiluj struggled to pull herself up onto the first limb then the next a flurry of leaves scattering around her blocked her gaze. Fearfull of them hitting her eyes Teiluj covered her face with her free arm.
A familiar screeched and Teiluj knew Starline had woken from her nap at the sound of the commotion below. Tallons opened to force the mystic back beak striking to allow Teiluj room to create some distance between them. Happy to see her companion Teiluj scrambled onto Starlines back. Once settled the pair quickly took to the skies. This would be the best way she could lose them for now. She didn't want to accidentally lead them back home, home where Nkole was.
